I will start by saying the breakfast was fantastic. Once I arrived I was seated within 3 minutes which says a lot since the place was packed in a Sunday. The bathroom was clean and the table was clean and equipped with all the necessary condiments. The hostess was phenomenal and treated everyone with a smile and positive energy. My one negative comment would be my server was not very attentive and when I asked for a side of toast she returned 6 minutes later asking me what I needed. I reminded her of the toast and decided I was almost done with my food. I continuously set my cup out for coffee. My recommendation is go and see for yourself and maybe the server will be better..

Before heading back on the road to go home to CT, we had breakfast at Round the Clock. This place is clearly a well oiled machine! We were in and out within 45 minutes, and we really appreciated the efficiency. The food was all fantastic and our server was great! If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular.

Round The Clock Diner 10-19-24 Stopped in on Saturday morning at the West York Pa. Round The Clock Diner to have breakfast. This place was just about full. It was neat, organized, and clean. We got seated right away and they took or drink order. Their coffee was hot and good. They then took or food order. I got 2 eggs, 3 sausages, Home Fries and Rye Toast. My wife got a Belgium Waffle covered in fresh Strawberries. Our order came out fast and looked good. It was hot, tasty, and large portions. My eggs were done perfect and everything on my plate was good. They even buttered my Rye Toast. My wife's Belgium Waffle was very good, and the fresh strawberries were fresh. This review is for breakfast but we have eaten at this place many times in the past and they have good food, give you large portions at great price. You really can't go wrong dinning here. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars. Follow me on FB for more reviews. Gulf Coast Terry

My Granddaughter happy to be leaving

Stopped in with my granddaughter for breakfast after a long doctor's appointment..we placed our order and our food was brought out fast.. unfortunately my granddaughters food was cold and the biscuits were as hard as rocks..we sent the food back and ordered something simple eggs and bacon well the bacon was cold, tasted old and the worse was the amount of stops we had to make for the restroom on the way home...both myself and granddaughter was sick with severe upset stomach and diarrhea...not the way to go eating here..literally!!

I mean it's a typical diner - what I do have to point out is they accommodated our party of 30 last minute - quickly took our orders, and our food came soon after. The prices are beyond reasonable for the quantity received. The staff was super polite, and made us feel really welcomed.

    French Toast Platter

Stopped in for a quick late lunch/brunch on a Friday. I ordered the French toast and honestly I've been dreaming about it ever since! It's made with challah bread so it's thick and buttery but perfectly fluffy not dense at all, served with powdered sugar and syrup on the side. I made mine the "platter" and got bacon, the bacon was good. Great portion size and even better price. The service was super fast (was not too busy) and very friendly staff from checking in, the waitress and checking out. 10/10 would recommend and I can not wait to go back and try more things!

Low quality "diner fare" you can honestly do better from any of the local gas stations without the wait time.

The server did a great job with making sure that our drinks were filled, and we had to go boxes and brought our food out in a timely manner. Some of the appetizer choices were the calamari, fried kale and crab claw lollipops. All three were absolutely outstanding, and the portions were large. For dinner, our choices are rockfish, lobster, mac & cheese, filet mignon, or grilled chicken green curry. Again, the portion sizes were large and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were able to choose from a flourless chocolate torte or cheesecake. I forgot to mention that the Caesar salad was so fresh and the dressing was outstanding. I would like to come back and experience the restaurant and their entire menu. The upstairs had a fun, urban feel with a fireplace and a cool bar. We felt comfortable and it was a fun vibe.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

We were just outside York, so we decided to stop in town to watch the end of the game. I think I searched "sports bar" or "bar with TV" on Yelp and found White Rose. We found street parking nearby (it was a Sunday afternoon) and wandered in. We found two seats at the bar and sat down. Now, we really didn't need much: a TV playing the World Cup, a few beers, and some friendly service. We almost got all three at White Rose. Their beer selection was very standard for sports bar, and we ordered a couple (I had a PBR). The service at the bar was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, it was the TVs themselves that gave us problems. They have two in the bar area and both were playing the World Cup. So the problem? This was new for me, but both of the TVs had incredibly obstructed views even when seated at the bar. (This was even after a woman sitting at the bar who wasn't watching the game offered to move seats with us so we could try to have a better view. She saw us struggling.) The one on the wall behind the bar was the obvious one to watch. Unfortunately, at least 4 or 5 seats at the end of the bar can't see that TV around the enormous wine glass rack that hangs from the ceiling to the right of the TV. I could see maybe half of that TV. There was another TV hanging from the ceiling over some tables to the left. I could see about a half of that TV too, because they have - inexplicably - light fixtures that hang from the ceiling in front of the TV. We were craning our necks in the weirdest ways and basically staring right above the guy's head sitting next to us (I think he might have thought we were staring at him). I can't speak to the food or any drinks other than standard beers, but I can say that the obstructed TVs make it a place I would not return again for the purpose of watching a sports event. Granted, they were busy, and we didn't have our choice of seats, and it might be a great bar to just hang out at. But as a sports bar, it was a complete flop for me.

The restaurant was fairly busy for a Monday at 1:15PM, so to my surprise my order came out pretty quickly. My order was bagged and tied together, so I cloud not check my order without ripping the entire plastic bag. There were two standard to-go containers inside the bag, NOT the standard long full-length container a full rack is served in when placing a to-go order. I order the full rack of ribs to-go all the time at Cheddars, and they are served in the long full-rack box. When I got home and to my surprise I was given two separate rib halves. Neither were the same size, (both were upper ends), not an entire complete rack of ribs. Looking at the ribs, each upper end was different in size, and each had a different appearance and texture. I tasted each half-rack, and yes hey came from different racks as each had a different taste, dried-out texture, and not even luke-warm to the touch. These ribs were not freshly made that day. I'm positive these rib halves were old ribs, at least a day or more old, and somewhat reheated, barely. I live 2-miles from Cheddar's, I's a straight shot, 5-minute drive at best. The food should not be cold driving that distance. I used to go to Cheddar's all the time, but quit going there about six-plus months ago because the food quality was going downhill, but decided to give it another try, I WAS WRONG... The BC Wrappers were editable, barely warm, but just thrown together, not neatly wrapped and fell apart trying to get one out of the box. In-total I wasted $37.00 on this meal at Cheddar's in York, PA. The ribs were thrown away, and the BC Wrapper was half-eaten. Seriously, the kitchen staff working Monday, May 5, 2026, has NO pride in the quality of food being served out of that kitchen. They should fire them all!
