I absolutely LOVED my experience here. As soon as I walked in I said "whoa this place is nice!!" I got a few chuckles and was promptly greeted by the staff. My appointment was to pick out frames as I had received a prescription earlier this year from a different eye care company. I have NEVER had an experience like this. Deliah sat me down, asked what I liked -shape, colors, etc - asked if I had any photos and started getting to work. She chose frames that would compliment my bone structure, colors that compliment my eye color, skin color and hair color. The first pair she brought out I thought "oh these are the ONES" then she brought out another and another and I loved every single one of them! I ended up buying two pairs. One for the spring/summer and one for the fall/winter. I regret nothing! I had been going to an eye care place in tacoma for the past 19 years and never had an experience like this. I only remember ever picking out 2 frames in the entire 19 years of going there that I loved. Every other time I was just picking the "best" out of what they had. That's why I ultimately started shopping around elsewhere bc I wanted to LOVE my glasses, not just settle for a pair and count down the days until I could get a new pair. I found Rouse eye care by searching on VSP's website for an in network provider. I am so happy that I found them! read more

(Drugstore solution is $17 IF you have them! ) *The overall pricing on contacts, and services were exaggerated, *The doc sat down and his assistant did the exam except when he looked to confirm mites. *The contacts were wrong prescription and 2nd ones were worse. Let me just say that a visit to Rouse EyeCare is an opportunity to spend a lot of money for perhaps negligible added value. To be fair, the eye exam that was administered seemed comprehensive enough. However, Dr. Rouse stated I had encrustations on my eyelashes caused by a microscopic mite that lives in their follicles. This is the (genus) Dermodex mite that is normal flora in a majority of humans and perhaps all adults. I stress NORMAL FLORA here. He prescribed an eye drop, Xdemvy, to presumably reduce the population of them. I was to be called by a pharmacy in Tacoma that would accept the copay and mail the drops. Fine, whatever. The next day I received a call from the pharmacy. The COPAY was to be $850!! Fat chance! No way! Forget it! That's stupid, especially for something to reduce normal flora that humans have coexisted and survived with for countless centuries. The drug, originally used to treat fleas and ticks in dogs and cats, is one recently FDA-approved for human use and brought to market. Apparently, the drug manufacturer wants to recoup its research dollars. (But not from me!) [[HIGHLIGHT]]In any case, Dr. Rouse made no mention of the expense involved though I find it hard to believe he isn't aware of the cost.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was given a new eyeglass prescription with which I ordered an expensive pair of glasses from Rouse EyeCare, expensive because of the material, quality, and characteristics of the lenses. Upon picking them up, I discovered that the improvement in my vision with them is certainly not worth what I paid. I will not visit Rouse EyeCare again and would not recommend it to anyone (especially if you're retired and living on a limited income). read more

I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews. But I felt the need to help prevent others from going through the same things I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I first visited the clinic, I asked them if my insurance is within the network, they told me, yes. I also asked the staff every time when I visited the clinic and repeatedly they told me that I am within network.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, I had to find out after paying multiple visits and gone through test after test, that I've finally realized when I received a large amount of medical bill that Rouse EyeCare is outside of my network. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went back to negotiate and ask for adjustment, the answer was very cold and by the book, they told me I've signed the acknowledgement of financial responsibility and it is up to me to find out who my provider is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Apparently, I did, my provider was not honest and did not practice in the best interests of the patients. read more

The clinic appears friendly on the surface, but I found their billing practices misleading. I went in for a routine eye exam, which is typically fully covered by insurance. During the visit, they offered an eye scan and specifically told me it was usually covered by medical insurance, so I was told not to worry about the cost. Several months later, I received a bill after my insurance denied the claim. I want to warn others to be very careful. The clinic is good at telling patients that services are covered by insurance, only to send a surprise bill later. I did not even purchase glasses from this clinic. After the assessment alone, I was billed an additional $300, with the original charges totaling around $900 before insurance. In contrast, I later did some research and used an online service, which cost me only $70, and my insurance covered it as an out of network claim. read more

My experience with Rouse Eye Care Center has been terrible, starting with my very first visit in 2024. I was told I had mites on my eyelashes and needed a special prescription drop to control it. The drops were only available through a pharmacy they partner with, and my copay was over $700, which I declined due to the cost. Later, I learned that everyone naturally has eyelash mites and that it's completely normal. I also ordered glasses during that visit, which took six months to arrive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called multiple times for updates and was made to feel like I was the problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thankfully, one staff member, Mia, stepped in and resolved the issue quickly and respectfully.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of her professionalism, I decided to give them another chance and returned for my 2025 exam, which was a big mistake. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Rouse was condescending and dismissive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The office tech conducting most of the exam was robotic and unfriendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked Dr. Rouse about the health of my eyes, he responded curtly and never actually answered my questions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What bothered me most was when Dr. Rouse suggested that if I were "trimmer" and exercised more, my vision might improve. My husband loved his visit here so I decided to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Front desk was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Was examined by a tech, not a Dr which was odd to me, she sounded robotic and like I wasn't even a person. It was really weird. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr came in and was irritated that I wasn't more friendly, even saying 'do you speak?' To me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He did a couple of things and then at the END puts dilation drops in my eyes and they send me out to buy my contacts. I'm sitting there unable to see, irritated at what just happened and ask the lady if this is my last step. Yes- so I ask WHY did he dilate my eyes RIGHT before sending me home? Did he forget to do it when he was in there? She says she'll check and the doc comes out and says 'were you trying to leave? We have one more test!' OBVIOUSLY covering his mistake. I was so irritated guys. On top of this/ they changed my prescription and said my eyes need time to adjust to it. If the prescription is right, your eyes will function properly- you don't need to adjust. I returned my contacts when I realized they were the wrong rx even according to their paperwork! Now I need to find someone else to give me an exam so I can get my prescription right. What a waste of time and money. And gosh don't be so snotty to your customers that aren't as fancy as you. I WOULD NEVET GO BACK or RECOMMEND "ROUSE EYE CARE" in LACEY WA. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE It was time for my yearly eye exam. I'm was hoping to get a new prescription. Previous prescription was in Oct. 2022, from Kaiser. On December 2023, I went to ROUSE EYE CARE in Lacey, nice office. Lots of nice, but very, very expensive eye glasses, I could not afford even with insurance. I got a new prescription, from Rouse, took it to an optical store to order my new glasses. I got my previous prescriptionat at that store and I was very satisfied. I got the new glasses. However, I had problems, I could not see the same or better than with my old glasses. I confirmed with the optical store that my prescription was slightly different than my previous. I wore the NEW glasses for almost 2 weeks to see if my eyes would adjust to the new glasses, but nothing changed. I went to Rouse and explained I was not able to see the SAME or BETTER with the NEW prescription glasses. The person at Rouse said it was because my eye were used to the old prescription glasses. OK... I explained I had worn the new glasses for almost two weeks, but nothing changed. I was given different reasons why I could have been having issues. Which none made sense. Finally, the lady suggested I buy a new pair of glasses from their office. I told her I could not afford them, so she started showing me the "AFFORDABLE" frames. They were definitely not the frames I would buy. They were UGLY! . I felt I had hit a brick wall with them. I gave up talking to Rouse Eye Center. I figure Dr. Rouse is probably a good doctor, but the person who did all the testing to give me the prescription was a young girl. Dr. Rouse only reviews the tests done and signs the prescription. I am 65 years old and I had never encountered anything like that. "ZERO" accountability, their office would not accept that perhaps the girl who performed the test maybe made a mistake or two. I took my 6 year old son in to see Dr. Rouse after his pediatrician mentioned that he may need glasses. Dr. Rouse and his team were so thorough and SO good with my son. The whole team was so personable and just very kind. My son was comfortable and Dr. Rouse was so gentle with him. They even had Yum Earth organic lollipops and as a parent who tries to avoid giving food dye to my kids, this was a nice surprise. Yesterday, at about 4:30 I injured my eye. I knew I'd scratched the cornea, I didn't know how badly. I didn't know if it would be an ER visit or not. So I called an urgent care facility, explained what happened. She said yes this should be seen immediately, but they would refer me to a ophthalmologist. She referred me to Rouse. I called them at 4:45, they close at 5 but when I explained, they said to come in, they'd stay for me. Everyone was so kind and so professional! Dr. Rouse was was so nice and helped me ease my pain and anxiety to get though the exam (pretty sure he could see me digging my nails into his exam chair). He was not in a rush, he treated the injury, made sure I understood the after care required, and told me when to come back to recheck. He even printed my eye photos so I could show my husband (I had multiple large corneal abrasions). In the lobby, the receptionist (who is the Dr's wife) chatted with my husband the entire time. He said she was also super nice as well. For me, the only downside to this clinic is that they don't accept my insurance. The fee was around $300, which considering he stayed open after hours, spent about an hour and helped me so much, I found totally reasonable. I wish they did accept my plan, I'd switch to them as a primary eye doctor in a heartbeat if I could. read more

I had my eye exam and contact exam awhile back they did a great job no complaints, I called them a few days ago to see if I could get a new trial for contacts (ordered from 1-800 and they would not arrive on time before I leave out of town) they stated that just because I didn't order directly them that I couldn't. My past experience with other offices they would always be willing and happy to give me trials while I wait for my contacts regardless where I would order or status of shipping. I guess you can listen to all the reviews on how they only want your money. Really disappointed in this experience. read more

I needed to use my yearly benefits and after switching insurances, Rouse was the only one in my network with availability before the new year. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Those are the only nice things I have to say and the reason for 2 stars. Once I was taken back the technician, not the doctor, performed the majority of the eye exam. I am used to a technician doing the pre-exam tests (i.e. puff of air, hot air balloon machine, etc.). Eventually the doctor did see me and performed the rest of the exam (actually looking in my eyes). He was very judgmental when I stated I had been to PearleVision in the past. He also did not explain anything he was rambling off to the technician while he was examining me. It felt very business transaction, like I was an object he had to look at and not a real human being. During his exam he put numbing drops in my eyes without telling me what it was and with no warning. I have gotten the picture taken of my eye (paid extra for it) in the past to forgo the numbing drops as they make me dizzy. I didn't even have a chance to decline them, he did it so fast. On top of that, I still had the picture taken, so there was no need for the dilation. At checkout to order glasses, the person helping me (Melissa) scolded me for wearing contacts too long saying I'd get an infection if I continued what I am doing. I've worn contacts for close to 15 years and have never had a problem. If she wanted to educate me, that's fine, but it was completely unnecessary to scold me like a child in front of other people. She was also told to educate me on Clear Care and did, but then never told me where to get the container or solution (not a huge deal as I won't be using it anyway). I also paid way more at this eye doctor than I have at my any other eye doctor (chain company or private practice). Needless to say, I should have trusted the negative reviews I read prior and gone elsewhere. I should have known that they had openings for a reason. I won't be returning. read more

My husband is a healthcare worker in a regional hospital. During one of his shifts last weekend he experienced an eye irritation that made it very difficult for him given he was wearing a respirator and face shield. I called Dr Rouse in his emergency line and was able to speak to him immediately. Dr Rouse provided the appropriate treatment right away so my husband could continue looking after patients in these most difficult times. Dr Rouse is a dedicated and compassionate professional. We would not trust our eye health to anyone else. There are many places that offer eye health care and have glasses and contacts to meet your immediate needs; but the true test of a provider is in the consistent quality of initial care and after care. This family owned business excels in both. Since our first visit for eye exams and the purchase of new eyewear we have been welcomed into this business like friends. There has been excellent after care follow up and tonight the Doctor, his family and staff hosted a wonderful Ladies Night Out. This kind of connection to patients/customers goes beyond transactional business to nurturing relationships that will endure long breaks between eye care needs. As a caregiver I arranged an appointment for someone who has a speech problem and does not have insurance. I was quoted $75. over the phone for a comprehensive exam (this was the least expensive I found in the area). Over the last few days I have had several friends and family members share the poor experiences they had with this service provider. After doing some research I found the Optometrist and Business Licenses are both in good standing with Washington State. However, the office is NOT registered with the BBB and has one resolved case with them. Quite a few of the Yelp reviews previously listed had a similar theme. As the patient I am arranging this visit for is on a limited income and has an anonymous donor for this service I can look past poor service, aggressive sales and insurance billing issues. However, the consistency in feedback related to inaccurate prescriptions (Rx for corrective lenses) indicates a pattern of poor technical skills - the most fundamental aspect for the visit. Therefore, the appointment was cancelled and rescheduled elsewhere. Buyer beware! read more

I hardly ever write reviews but this one was necessary. This review is way overdue. I vacillated between going to a large optical center vs a small boutique family owned business. After reading several reviews, I finally decided on Rouse and I am glad that I did. I brought my 10 yr old daughter to Rouse to pick out glasses. Kids can be challenging and very difficult to assess for glasses because of their shy demeanor and inconsistent feedback but Delia did a fantastic job with my daughter! My daughter has a difficult time finding the right pair of glasses due to the lack of nose bridge. We have tried glasses from Costco and suburban optical but was disappointed each time. As we all know, kids will not wear their glasses if they are not comfortable. Delia picked out an Asian optical brand and found the perfect pair for my daughter. I also appreciated that there was no hard sell on their more expensive line. The frames were picked out strictly out of compatibility and comfort. After a month of having the glasses, my daughter lost her glasses on a family vacation trip and we didn't have insurance coverage. The customer service I received from Rouse was amazing! Delia was able to provide me a warranty discount on the frames so all we had to pay for were the lenses! Also my designer sunglasses came apart due to lost screws. Delia fixed my glasses at no extra charge. Overall, my experience at Rouse has been exceptional. Customer service and product quality are two of the most important qualities of a business whether small or large and Rouse eye care center undoubtedly has both! I was a patient there for an eye condition. Dr. Rouse had me trying different remedies which did nothing but exacerbate my condition-I ended up developing an eye infection. After 4 follow up appointments, he finally told me he couldn't help me. Then, before I left, he asked to see me back in 3 months for another follow up. WHY, if you can't help me do you need to see me again? I questioned his wife, who was checking me out. about a charge. I decided to go to Rouse for the first time because I know a few people who go there and say they like it. My experience however wasn't ideal. I got my exam, it was all going well so I can get new contacts, however it quickly turned to annoying when they gave me a new brand to try out. I tried to say no and that I would prefer the Acuvue Oasis I've been using for over 13 years, immediately I felt really peer pressured and basically forced to try these new ones. Not much of a surprise to me when they weren't a good fit, it felt like I constantly had a hair or dust in my eyes and hurt when I blinked. So I stopped wearing them after a few days of trying them on and went back to my old contacts. Called Rouse EyeCare to update them on what happened. They wanted me to return with the trial pair of contacts but I had lost them somewhere and just asked if they can order me contacts from my regular brand with my new prescription. They told me no, I had to see the provider. Next, I asked if I can just have my new prescription so I can order elsewhere and I was told no, the doctor has to see me to finalize it and make the sure the contacts weren't hurting my eyes. That has me really confused considering I've worn them for over 13 years and he should have said something at the initial visit if they were hurting my eyes right? I get that it can be a typical practice to request follow up's to NEW contacts, but i'm requesting contacts that the doctor has seen me in before, that he got record of from my previous exam. Not sure if they charge for follow up's and trying to get more money from me or my insurance but it really put a bad taste in my mouth as far as my experience. The one star is for how nice the staff are because I can't deny them their customer service skills and it's the lowest I can vote. Not only that they've put my husband under multiple diagnosis without truly understanding his conditions, the provider repeatedly ensured him that his insurance is within network. However, provider did not figuring out what is wrong with his eyes, we also ended up with a large bill stating that the provider is outside of my husband's insurance's network. Please whoever is reading this review, make sure to talk to your insurance company before scheduling any tests or going under any services with this provider. They will lure you in first, then come back and bite you with a large surprise bill later. read more

I had an extremely bad reaction to lash extensions, eyes swelled, itched like mad, red as can be. My primary took one look at me & sent me to Dr. Rouse & I'm so thankful. Him & his staff saw me, last min, as a walk-in, right before close. They listened to me, didn't rush me & gave me the best care. My swelling was down immensely the next day after the drops Dr. Rouse prescribed me. I highly recommend Rouse EyeCare Center to anyone who needs their eyes looked at or just new glasses. read more

There is no better eye health care in this community than at the Rouse Eye Care Center. The center is staffed by friendly and competent persons who have provided for my diabetic eye care in a professional manner for several years. I am disappointed to learn that Tricare declines to pay this provider irrespetive of Medicare recognition and payments. I was led to believe that Tricare is a secondary insurance to Medicare, but something is awry here. However, I will continue to receive my eye care from Dr. Rouse, as the low $ share cost is worth the care for my eyesight. read more

First of all I have to start this review out with shame on me. My entire family and extended family has already stopped visiting Rouse Eye Care because of dishonest billing or overselling. My husband for example felt he couldn't trust that the eye glasses that he was being sold were actually what he legitimately needed or if they were simply trying to sell him the newest most expensive tech. My mother went in to have her frames fixed and was told they were not going to be able to be repaired and beyond that the lenses were scratched so she needed to purchase a new pair, immediately after that visit she went to Hawks Prairie vision for a second opinion, they fixed the frames and confirmed that the lenses were just fine and did not need any repair. I made an appointment for my annual eye exam after the office called to remind me it was time, I had been considering switching to Hawks Prairie Vision with the rest of my family but because of convenience I decided to schedule my appointment, I asked the receptionist to please confirm that my insurance would cover my visit, she confirmed that my insurance would cover my visit. I just received a $188.00 bill in the mail for my visit that was supposed to be covered by my insurance, of course this frustrated me so I went into the office to get an explanation, because I am diabetic apparently there's a different billing code for insurance and this is why my visit cost me so much out of pocket, I was however not aware of the extra scan that was performed and was an extra $60.00 out of pocket in addition to the added Diabetic coding,I feel it is the doctors responsibility to inform the patient of any extra services being provided before providing them, as a patient going in for a routine eye exam I do not know when the routine procedure ends and they start performing extra scans.I feel this is dishonest. Also when I specifically asked the receptionist if my visit would be covered she should have mentioned the billing as when I went in to ask about this bill back in 2015 I was billed this way, I have been in for my eye exams since 2015 so the fact that she had to look back to 2015 to find a this bill makes me wonder why the inconsistency was I not being billed with this code in the more recent years? In my frustration at the office I did not ask and I wish I would have. I will not be going back to Rouse Eye Care as well as my daughter. They have lost two more clients. read more

I was excited to get an appointment so late notice when all other places were booked out two weeks now I know why .What a mess! I was laughed at for my hearing disability after I miss heard the technician and treated horribly for not being about to hear and was talked to like I was stupid and the technician and doctor proceeded to discuss my needs outside the office door when she said she can't hear and they began to giggle about it and they walked in and began speaking to me in over exaggerated manor "Can You Hear ME" and laughing rather than greeting me and asking professionally about my hearing. A medical professional should not be participating in jokes about a patient and should read the room. I was not comfortable and for a doctor whom I'm suppose to share medical history was out of line. Prior to this was helped by the same technician who didn't greet me was aggressively moving things and pushing the back of my head aggressively when I needed to be up close on the machine. I tried to support a local business and ended up being completely disappointed. I spoke the the doctors wife who was professional and kind and refunded me but still could not make up for the horrible experience. I quickly went to Costco optical and they were appalled and scheduled me for an appointment. read more

Hands down the best Eye Care I have ever experienced. I trust my entire family to the expertise of Rouse EyeCare Center. Their technology is more advanced than I have ever seen. Dr. Rouse is very pleasant to be around and explains things so that they are easy to understand, that's a winning combo in itself! I have now purchased three pair of glasses there. Deliah & Elizabeth not only helped find the perfect fit for my face but also my personality. My OVVO glasses are so light weight I forget they are on my face! My Coco Song glasses are bright and beautiful. (Just like me. Lol). I also got a pair of Gazzel Sunglasses that travel with me everywhere I go. My 10 year old son got a pair of nearly indestructible OVVO glasses. They are so flexible I don't have to worry about him breaking them. Deliah & Elizabeth helped him narrow down a selection while I was still getting my eyes looked at and I was very pleased with the options. Lastly, my husband had NEVER been to an eye doctor before! He has a love for anything he can customize. He was fitted with the perfect pair of Gazzel sunglasses and Tom Davie frames. His favorite part.... He got to customize the Tom Davie's and have his name etched into the inside of them. BONUS! Needless to say, their selection of glasses is wonderful, I only wish I could buy a new pair every month. From the warm greeting at the front desk to coming back in to pick up the glasses it was a five star experience. I wont take my family's eyes anywhere else! What a great experience! At age 49 I decided it was past time to get glasses. After an average experience at another Dr, a friend recommended Rouse Eye Care. My first visit was during a glasses trunk show event. They were very busy, but still gave me excellent one on one attention. Dr Rouse gave a thorough exam and explained everything in detail. This is when I realized I had come to the right place and how average my experience had been. I choose a pair of OVVO frames. They are so light, I hardly even know I have them on. As a eye care doctor you should discuss everything you are doing and ask if it's okay to do a 'surgery' and charge me $167 to remove a eyelash from my son's eye. WOW Talk about excellent customer service! Earlier in the day my distance glasses fell apart when the screw popped out from one of the stems. I was on a long distance trip to CA, driving of course. Had my sunglasses but I knew that I would need my clear distance glasses at dusk. Stopped to eat lunch and saw this Rouse Eyecare Center in the center. I walked in, explained my situation, and the nice receptionist said it would be no problem to fix my glasses. Then this really nice lady, tall with dark hair, said no problem and fixed my glasses. When I asked how much the repair would be she answered no charge with a really nice smile. She saved me from not being able to drive in the dark that evening. Love, love, love, Dr. Rouse and the staff! Everyone is friendly and so helpful with what we need. We've been seeing Dr. Rouse for 3 years now. Unfortunately, Tricare dropped them so it's all out of pocket now... but they offer a pretty good discount when purchasing new glasses from them. Which, for me, is a huge reason why I love it here. I have a very petite head, (child size almost) and it's hard to find a place that will work with me to find something that fits my face and looks great too! I definitely recommend Dr. Rouse to everyone, even if we have to pay for the exam now ($65). It's definitely worth it! read more

How can I describe my experience with the folks at Rouse EyeCARE to people who have never been there before? How do you explain what exceptional service is to someone who has never received it. I would have better luck describing the color blue to a blind person. But I will indulge you, the reader. The year was 2007. I was relatively new to Lacey and found myself in dire need of glasses. I contacted my insurance carrier and they gave me the contact information for Dr. Rouse's practice. I called and scheduled an appointment. They were polite on the phone. Personable. I let it slide. I had partaken in this song and dance before. I had gone to a larger, chain clinic before. They would lure you in with their honeyed words and hollow smiles and before you knew it, you were little more than a number. I was determined this time. I wouldn't get burned again. But when the time came for my appointment, I found that the honeyed words were much more. No droning musak was being piped into the waiting area. Sure, they had a Highlights magazine or two, but no one had gone through and solved the Hidden Picture puzzles. It's almost as if they brought out new magazines just for me. I indulged in some idle chit chat with the staff and found that they seemed to actually enjoy talking to me, instead of just tolerating it. It was then that I knew what I had happened across...I had found a home (for my optometrical needs). I've never had anything remotely resembling a long wait. Quite the opposite. At my last appointment, I was taken back a good half hour before my appointment time. Since that first appointment, every subsequent encounter has been better than the last. Seven years and almost as many pairs of glasses later, I still eagerly await my visits to Dr. Rouse's clinic. I feel like it is my civic and moral responsibility to share my experiences with others so that they too may feel the same way that I have. I haven't so much found a eye doctor, I've found an eye family. If you are looking for a good, family-run clinic, look no further. In all aspects of professional courtesy, the fine people at Rouse are exceptional and above all others; supreme. First eyed doctor visit in ages. I was very surprised with their excellent service. I gave them my insurance information over the phone and made sure they took both insurances before I made the trip. Doctor Rouse is very polite and will answer all questions you may have. Even to my very fidgety six year old he was very patient and attentive. Ms. Deliah was understanding when I told her I didn't have the financial flexibility to purchase expensive eyewear so she made sure she showed me glasses within my budget. I made half the payment when placing the order and the other half was paid when I picked up the glasses. They were not pushy nor did they loose their temper. Great experience through out. I read the negative reviews and just want to say that what they reported is not our experience at all, in fact quite the opposite. Especially regarding billing, the staff was upfront about everything from start to finish. We couldn't be happier with the care, service and quality that Rouse EyeCARE Center offers. In fact we have been singing their praises to our friends, family and neighbors as we highly recommend them to anyone in need of proper vision care who wants to receive top notch stellar service. So before I went to Rouse Eyecare Center I initially saw another Eye doctor at another clinic and had a less than optimal experience and received a prescription for glasses that really did not meet my needs. So after that frustrating experience I paid out of pocket to see Dr. Rouse which was the best decision I could have made. Dr. Rouse discovered an ailment that the other doctor missed and set me up with additional tests to uncover what is really going on with my eyes. Also Rouse Eyecare Center has the latest tech and cutting edge testing equipment, it made me feel like other eye doctor visit was like going from the stone age to the modern tech world. Their facility is very nice, clean and elegant. I've since had my whole family in for their eye tests and moving forward Rouse EyeCare Center will definitely be our primary eye doctor as we were all individually beyond satisfied with the care, attention to detail, quality facility, selection of gorgeous frames, superior selection of precision optic lenses and overall experience. The very friendly staff are super helpful and loaded with educational information that my family benefited from. Can't say enough about how lovely we were treated here. I had questions...lots of questions, which they were happy to answer. I learned so much from Elizabeth and Deliah about frames, styles, what works, what doesn't and why, etc. etc. Their knowledge base about lenses, glasses and much more helped me and my family make excellent choices on the glasses we purchased. Deliah has a gift at looking at your face and finding the perfect options for you. She's a gem. Also the receptionist / assistant technician Secorro's cordial demeaner and uplifting attitude made us all feel instantly like we found the right place for us. Can't say enough about Elizabeth's acute eye for the tiniest detail and her desire to make sure we got everything just right and as intended. Plus the lead technician, Ashley was super friendly and has an easy going personality which made us all feel comfortable. Finally, Dr Rouse A) found a more serious problem that I have than my vision than the other eye doctor [just weeks prior] and B) Provided us with a thorough explanation of the eye lash mites and how to treat them, etc. Dr. Rouse took his time with my Mother [who can be difficult to deal with] and showed her microscopic detail on what's happening with her as well so that she fully understood her condition. The frame selection is very good and ranges from high-end on down so that there is a pair for everyone's budget needs. I love how they took the time to get precise measurements on the glasses so that they fit perfectly. Oh, and the lenses and options are exactly what you're looking for. No nonsense, your needs will get addressed and you'll receive the knowledge about the why and how which is an excellent service they provide. Education is just as important as the pair of glasses themselves. So that being said, thank you all at Rouse Eyecare Center, my family and I sincerely appreciate how we've been treated at your office, we feel like we've received a 5 star treatment here and couldn't be happier with your services. read more

Decided to go back and try them again and I was very impressed! The new staff was extra friendly and really helpful. It was a smooth transition to each area and the Dr Rouse was awesome. I chatted at the end with Delilah and she was so helpful to find the perfect pair of glasses for me! Will recommend to everyone! read more
