I was blown away by the pickle fries! I consider myself a fried pickle fanatic, and these left me wanting more! They do them as thin slices that if you didn't look too closely actually resemble a fry, impressive! The egg rolls aren't something you expect to find on a dive bar menu, but they were oh so crispy and meaty. It depends what you are after for this place. Weekend nights you will usually find a decent crowd and live music but drinks are small served in tiny plastic cups and averages $8 a drink. If you're looking for food I recommend the breakfast with all you can eat sweet cream pancakes and freshly made to order traditional breakfast items. I did get charged a $2 upgrade charge for a tiny amount of hashbrowns instead of potatoes of some sort. The food is good. They also have great daily specials and select happy hour specials. My biggest complaint about this place is it is always freezing cold and the smokers that go in and out to the patio don't make it any better. absolutely worst experience eating at Route 47 in coon rapids. Ewww. Firstly, we watched out beers sitting at the bar for 15 min. One of us was about to go get them ourselves. It felt like we were an inconvenience to all the staff. The fried pickles were wet and soggy. My son got the pulled pork, it was dry . He asked for more bbq sauce but it never was brought. We shared the wreck and both the pork and the ham was extremely dry and what "special" sauce . This sandwich really did need a sauce. Not worth 48.00 . This is the old Pickle Park location. It's kind of a strange shaped place, and I'm not sure if they still do live music but there was a stage at one end. Anyway, I was craving hand cut fries and I knew Route 65 had them, but we didn't make the drive so it was nice to have this closer. The fries hit the spot, my burger was pretty good too. I've actually been here a few times I roughly average this place between 3 and 4 stars. Service is great, this place isn't so busy as a new restaurant. This establishment has gone down hill after pickle park. It still has the same vibe as pickle park. Service was great, our server was very nice and helpful. Food wise: Pretzel sticks- it was mediocre, reminds me of Applebee's version, With a softer texture inside Margherita flatbread- crust very crispy!!! I think it was too much cheese and not enough tomatoes. Overall not bad though! Wings - I've eaten plenty of times here, the sauces are just ok(we had Jamaican Jerk) but the chicken wings are meaty and decent size. Burgers - we tried few times and always had a good turn out, this time we tried The Harley Inferno. Wasn't that spicy but the bun was very soft and fresh. Beef patty seemed fresh because it was soft as I took a bite into it. It came with bacon and pepper jack cheese. It did not come with lettuce or any kind of sauce. The fries that came with burger - few people mention it's soggy. They use fresh potatoes so it has the soggy texture. I would suggest to tell the server to have them double fried. Soggy fries... I didn't mind! We asked for Cajun seasoning to dip or pour over fries, so we can be a little extra! Ha! I looked around the restaurant and most were eating the special for the night or broasted chicken. Will have to try that next time. Terrific food and great service at a reasonable price. 1) The first thing we noticed was the super FRIENDLY staff. It was "seat yourself" at the front door, but everyone was either greeted at the door or greeted very quickly after finding a chair. 2) The second thing we noticed was the LARGE interior. The bar area is substantial. And the upper deck dining area is very big. The booths are huge - nice! Last but not least, there's a giant guitar hanging from the ceiling! 3) All of our FOOD and drinks were very good. To top it off, it all came out fast & hot and was served with a smile. I didn't get sticker shock from the tab either. The prices are very reasonable. A lot of the crowd was a little rough looking. But that's actually exactly the way I like it! The food is ALWAYS great and the waitstaff and servers are ALWAYS friendly, even when they are busy as he77. Kayla, Tiffany and Phyl are always prompt and full of smiles and Katie and Sam behind the bar are always sweet and fun. The venue has GREAT live music on the weekends, a great JAM Night on Thursdays and a fantastic sound system with Joe and John running the show. The atmosphere is fun and energetic. Our first experience here, walked in and saw sign to seat ourselves. We sat next to the dining area, and waited a few minutes for a server. They were apologetic and took our drink order even though they weren't going to be our server. Once our assigned server came, she apologized right away as it was just her 2nd day. Kind of confused on the menu, but understood. Bourbon burger came with wrong cheese, returned with correct cheese, but barely and bourbon sauce. Food was good. We got the mini tacos for an app and they had no flavor. I've never had such bland mini tacos. We got a burger and the broasted chicken. The burger also had no flavor and the chicken was pink inside. Most of our party ordered a burger and were very happy until the bait and switch when the bill came. My burger was $10.75 and all of the others were nowhere near the advertised $5. Ask for a small cup of BBQ sauce which cost .75 cents more. Food was good, service was 1st rate. Prices were within reason except what I previously mentioned. Glad this place is opened back up as a music venue, and that's most likely what we'd go there for. Our food service wasn't great. We had to track down the server most times. The fries were floppy, not crunchy. When I asked about that, she said it's because they're hand cut. In my experience, that has nothing to do with it. I've made them at home and had many hand cut fries out, and they've been crispy and delicious in both instances. The absolute worst food and service I've ever had. I had a cheeseburger (tasteless) I had to ask for pickles and onions . I didn't even receive a pickle chip. The waiter brought a dish of pickles and charged us for them. The fries we're dripping with grease and tasted like rancid oil. I sent them back and they just brought me more of the same and did not ask if I wanted anything else instead. The waiter never asked once how anything was.
