He and his son are a two man operation. He very graciously offered a ride home. And when he called me the next morning he confirmed what we believed was wrong. He said he and his son stayed late the night before and got it fixed and I could come pick it up. Fortunately this was the first issue I've ever had with my car and hopefully the last for a good while, but friendliness, great customer service and a job well done have ensured I'll be a return customer the next time I need a mechanic.

Maria and Luis told us where to leave the car and the keys. We found a place to stay. They were so kind and helpful knowing we had 500 miles of driving to get home. They prioritized our repair. Fortunately, they had the parts on hand, and we were on the road the next day before noon. The breaks are working beautifully! Very clean garage, great folks and very knowledgeable. No apology for not believing my mom dropped off the car or just general acknowledgement that their customer's vehicle was stolen. Again, this was not our first time dropping off the car before opening so we knew we didn't leave the keys in the wrong place.

I felt my alignment was off and went to TownFair tire and they quickly discovered that one of my Control Arms was shit and this was a repair that had to be made ASAP to avoid a major cluster F while driving. I was recommended Blackman's by the TownFair folks(great guys by the way) and i headed over there 4p on a Thursday with no appt. The staff i met were so amazing nd just regular guys who happen to be experts in anything car related.....they have all been mechanics their whole lives and i had my car back and good as new in less than 36 hrs. truly amazing interactions and i feel blessed to have found these guys and will be going there exclusively for all my family and friends car needs and i highly recommend this place in case you couldn't tell!!

Rob and Jerry checked it out promptly, and Rob called a couple of hours later to let me know it was a false alarm. Not only that, but he took the time to give me a detailed education about this car and transmission which will be extremely helpful in the future in deciding how long to keep this car on the road. Could not have been more informative! PLUS - he refused to take any money since he didn't actually need to do any repairs! Transmissions are not something I (or most people) know a lot about. If I was told it needed expensive repairs, I wouldn't have known any different. You can trust them!!! Jerry, Rob and crew are good people. They are competent, professional, prompt, reasonable and just plain nice. You can't go wrong here! p.s. over the years with those three previous cars, two of them had real transmission issues and Jerry recommended NOT repairing them; the third was also a false alarm. So - they have never actually billed me for anything. Scary honest people!

The Hyundai dealership noted that I needed to get my transmission serviced a few months back (car is around 78K, and I had already serviced it once before around 55K). I was skeptical, so I wanted a second opinion. I called Jerry's and they explained the policy- bring it in early morning, give them time to look at it and we'll go from there. They called around lunch with good news- nothing wrong with the car! I was curious why I would be told that and the simple answer was, " they wanted to make some $$$ off of you, but your car is fine." I will only go here for transmission issues from now on. I just wish they did more than just transmissions. Rare to find honest, affordable mechanics these days.

Quality, honest service! I brought my Honda in initially for repairs for significant body damage due to a collision with a deer. Frank and his staff were professional, accommodating, and, importantly, honest. As a young woman with little knowledge about cars, I often feel mechanics see me coming for miles and take advantage of my lack of expertise. Route 53, however, gave honest, fair, recommendations and explained the purpose of them. I was further assured by the great quality of craftsmanship and customer service I was provided. Consequently, I have returned to Route 53 on several other occasions, including for even minimal paint and body damage. I rate Route 53 with a well deserved 5 stars for these reasons. I just picked up my car after having two doors replaced on the passenger side and I am amazed at how great it looks! Route 53 Auto Body did a fantastic job. They were very professional from the time I took the car in for an estimate and walked me through the whole process. I dropped the car off and the work was finished right on schedule.This is very important because they understand how important it is to get your car back on time. Evelyn was very helpful and kept in touch to let me know how things were going with the work.They even cleaned the inside of the car- a chore I have been putting off and now don't have to do! I brought my porsche cayman in for repair of a bad scrape in the rocker panel on passenger side...I was so nervous....another body shop told me they would need to use a new panel and repaint the whole side of the car....Frank told me he could repair the rocker panel, and it would be easier to match the paint....painting only the rocker panel.....it looks as good as new..for almost a third of the quote from the other shop....thank you Frank and your talented crew read more

These guys are GREAT. I just picked up my Mazda, the workmanship was outstanding, they even called the insurance company when the estimate was below the actual damage. Can't say the same for the repair shop further south on 53 who basically told me to leave and call the insurance company and deal with it myself. These people called me to keep me updated on the progress, and even arranged my rental car. Evelyn and Frank are great. read more

My car had some significant damage to the back bumper from someone who had backed into it in a parking lot. I had checked out at least 3 other Auto Body Shops and ended up going with Dwayne (who was the recommendation of BMW Ridgefield). I care a lot about my car and keeping it in good shape, so giving it to the right body shop was very important to me. I can safely say that, after my experience, I will be returning to Dwayne if I ever need more body work done. The work was done with regular updates via their incredible online portal, which regularly sent status updates and pictures to me. The updates are extremely detailed, and so at every point I felt like I was fully in the loop with Dwayne. For perspective, the repair took a week, and I was receiving some sort of update about twice a day. Despite having to order more parts and add a supplement a few days into the repair (because of some additional damage found), Dwayne completed the work by the original date he had given me. I would honestly not expect any other body shop to complete this repair in the same time/with the same quality that Dwayne did. The bumper looks good as new, and the paint work is impeccable and blends in perfectly. Dwayne clearly cares a LOT about the cars he works on. He has great attention to detail, and it shows in the final result. Even though only my back bumper was damaged, he returned the car fully detailed, interior and exterior. He takes pride in his work, and that's exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended, even if you have to drive a little ways to get to the shop. You will not be disappointed.
