After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! I called them, and they came that same night which was way more than I expected. Jake has an amazing and impressive truck, and he very competently and professionally got my car out of a tough spot, taking care of it as if it were his own. He had to push through a lot of snow just to reach my car, and he did everything pleasantly and at a most fair price. I'll start w the point that I never make reviews but these guys tried to scam me out of $1000 and…read moremessed up my car so that's my motivation. I had my oil changed by these guys. My car was fine, I have my own mechanic but needed it changed quickly before a road trip. I get my car back, and it sounded like a motorcycle. I have a 1 year old with me and needed to get him home. I call them as soon as I get home and they insist on towing my car back to the shop. They call me at 10am and told me my exhaust fell off. It would be almost $1000 to fix it. The woman on the phone, Debbie tells me "honey, these things just happen" My exhaust and muffler were totally fine, my brother is a mechanic and we had it up on the lift the month prior to fix both swing arms and my rear hubs. Also, the rear exhaust is nowhere near the oil pan so how it just "fell off" is absurd. We threw it up in the lift, my brother said it was a couple bolts and a weld and the exhaust was good as gold. The sound I was hearing was because they loosened my bolts on my engine air filter. My air filter was brand new. No reason to go in there. Was it because I had heels on? How stupid do they think people are? Not cool at all. Stay away from this place.
