I was charged a high price for what should have been a simple oil change and cabin/air filter replacement, and I ended up waiting about two hours for the work to be completed. After talking it through with someone more familiar with car maintenance, it became clear that I was likely overcharged for a job that should have been quicker and more reasonably priced. What made the experience worse was the interaction before my appointment. When I asked for clarification about being told I may need "air," EU laughed at me for asking. I'm neurodivergent and sometimes take things more literally, so I was just trying to confirm whether I was being charged for something that is often free. Instead of explaining, I felt mocked for asking a simple question. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable or confident returning here. I'm sharing this as a caution for other customers--especially women and neurodivergent people--who may not be as familiar with car maintenance and rely on mechanics to be honest, respectful, and transparent.

You believe Tim's version of the story and didn't even listen to mine. Maybe ask Chris who was helping out that week. He was a decent guy. You owe me a refund. You just lost a great customer over $531. Your loss. First after replacing a few spark plugs and Ignition coils that burned out repeatedly - and was not the actual problem (took car home and it was shaking violently the next day again) Tim told Me ' you need to see an ECU specialist ( cars computer) and actually recommended me to one company that were specialists. Ok. As I was on my way to tow the car to the specialist, Tim called me back and said 'hey, guess what - it's the ECU( um, we already knew this and you said I need to go somewhere else for am ECU specialist). Tim said he had the last ECU new computer in the U.S. on hold. Tim, who said they don't do this type of work just the day before said "It will cost $3350 and we can program it too." Ok. Weird. Just before this conversation with Tim, I talked to 4 ECU Specialists in the area. Only one thought they could fix it and they would only charge $1150 for Parts, labor and programming. Tim suddenly decided they could do it. He can lie with a big smile on his face, sadly. And his boss didn't listen to what actually happened - he interrupted me and was really aggressive. He shut me down saying 'I was going to remove the ignition coils and give you a small, partial refund - but now I won't." Big man..."ladies, beware of these crooked mechanics." Seriously, I would never let these men touch my car ever again. If you want to be drastically overcharged and lied to - and not refunded when they misdiagnose the problem - run! Don't walk away from 'Sh*tty, Service' - oops, I mean 'Super' Service' - what a horrible and stressful experience. These people only care about one thing. Ripping you off. I have filed a BAR report on them. Hopefully they don't get away with fake repairs...I had a previous bad experience with Tim also - he tricked me into signing a doc that they would charge me $150 for diagnostics on the Engine light. There was a host of 'problems amounting to thousands of dollars. I left and got a second opinion. None of those issues were actually wrong with my car. And he wouldn't apply that $150 to my Repairs as promised. He took that money and didn't actually repair a thing. Very salesy 'fake friendly'. Watch out!! I hope businesses like this are quickly replaced by integrity-based, service oriented companies who stand by their word. Please don't let them rip you off too.

The dashboard had to come off for the work, so I understand some things had to be moved. However, when I picked my car up they hadn't bothered putting the passenger floor mat back down. Instead it was on top of the seat. They also didn't bother plugging my phone charger back in. I found it tossed in the back seat. The next day I noticed grease stains all over the interior ceiling. The shop let me bring it back in and cleaned them, but now there are just parts of the fabric with a different texture (and still slightly discolored...) from being scrubbed. When I'm spending $2,000 at a shop, I expect my property to be cared for and not returned to me in a worse condition. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

We reached out to Arnold for a pre-purchase inspection. While six other places quoted us $250-$350 for a "comprehensive" inspection, we paid Arnold $100, which was a STEAL for what he did, even more than what the others promised. He spent at least two hours thoroughly checking the vehicle, test driving it and walking us through every detail so we truly understood its condition. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. After browsing Yelp and reading the amazing reviews, we decided to come here instead and I'm so glad we did. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. He answered every single one with clarity and confidence and everything I was expecting to hear. My husband stayed the entire time, and Arnold patiently explained everything while inspecting the car. You can tell he was that kid that made the auto shop his playground growing up. He's passionate, meticulous, and GENUINELY cares. What impressed me most is that Arnold will never pressure you. He won't tell you "don't buy it," but he will clearly explain what could go wrong and what it might cost to fix. When I pressed him for his honest opinion, he said he personally wouldn't buy it at the listed price but if we negotiated it lower, then it might be worth considering. That level of honesty is RARE. They are your small local auto shop but I would choose them over any flashy, grandiose service center any day. Their integrity and transparency make them stand out. They called it a tear down inspection, but I had my doubts and brought it to V-Tech for a second opinion. V-Tech found all the issues, explained it to me, and were able to fix it in 1-day. The car definitely had issues, but it turns out it was due to drive belt, timing belt, transmission oil, and air intake hose. We also had a battery causing starter issues, but we knew about that. V-Tech took car of it and charged us a low price! The car is driving great and we're super happy!

After I bought it, he handled the oil change and brakes for a fraction of what the dealership would have charged. I haven't had any major repairs done there yet, so I can't speak to that personally, but based on my experience over the last three years, I wouldn't hesitate to trust V-Tech Automotive with bigger jobs if they came up.
