I previously left a five-star review because I had a good experience here. At the time, EU was honest enough to tell me I didn't need a tire rotation, which saved me money as a student. Because of that, I came back for multiple oil changes. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was completely different. I was charged a high price for what should have been a simple oil change and cabin/air filter replacement, and I ended up waiting about two hours for the work to be completed. After talking it through with someone more familiar with car maintenance, it became clear that I was likely overcharged for a job that should have been quicker and more reasonably priced. What made the experience worse was the interaction before my appointment. When I asked for clarification about being told I may need "air," EU laughed at me for asking. I'm neurodivergent and sometimes take things more literally, so I was just trying to confirm whether I was being charged for something that is often free. Instead of explaining, I felt mocked for asking a simple question. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable or confident returning here. I'm sharing this as a caution for other customers--especially women and neurodivergent people--who may not be as familiar with car maintenance and rely on mechanics to be honest, respectful, and transparent. read more

$1350 Repair Failed Immediately - Check Engine & Overheating Review: In May 2025,I paid over $1,350 at DHZ Automotive for a major repair that included a new timing belt, water pump, and thermostat (see invoice). The result was catastrophic. Immediately after driving away, the check engine light came on and the van began overheating again, reaching dangerous levels (see photos of the dashboard gauges). I returned immediately. Their own scanner pulled codes P1130 and P1135 (see photo), which are related to the air-fuel sensor and heater circuit--issues that were not present before their work. Despite this evidence, the service advisor and owner dismissed it as a "coincidence" and asked for more money to fix the problems they created. The disorganization was shocking. An employee actually had to call me and ask me to text them my own invoice because they had no record of what work had just been done on my car. How can you trust a shop to warranty their work if they don't even keep their own records? They refused to honor their own 1-year warranty. I've had to use my own scanner to monitor the car myself (see photo). The attached invoice proves the work they did. The attached photos prove they failed. This shop cost me over $1300 and left my van in a more dangerous state than when I brought it in. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

SCAMMER. Beware!! bought a used BMW from the owner Engin for my teenage daughter. After a week driving it, the DRIVE TERRAIN light came on, which stranded her at night in Los Angeles. We called him and he told us to bring it in. She drove it on the 405 going 60 mph with the lights blinking and now check engine light on too. Engin told us it was nothing, just a sensor. We took it to another shop who told us there's $5,000 worth of work needed and he wouldnt recommend fixing it at all. After avoiding texts and phone calls from us, we finally brought it back in. He told us too much time had passed and we drove it before buying it (yes around the block two times is a solid gauge). If he'd do this to an acquaintance, he will do anything to you or your car. Avoid this guy- this place at all costs! You will get scammed! read more

Came here based on the Yelp reviews looking to get my brake pads replaced on my Subaru. The guy (manager or owner I think) inspected it and gave me a good quote of $380 to replace. I was on the fence as I didn't really want to put any more money into a car I was going to be giving away, but my wife convinced me to, so I went back about two weeks later to get them replaced. This is where it went from what seemed like a totally legit place, to a totally dodgy place. A new (different) employee all of a sudden decided that it needed new rotors, etc as well -- even though it had literally NOT been driven AT ALL since they gave me the original quote. Instead, the guy just kept arguing with me as if I was making it up. I told him to look up the quote in the system and he just kept insisting I had to spend more money. So, either the first guy was wrong in his evaluation and quote, OR the second guy was just trying to milk more money because literally NOTHING had changed in the interim as the car had not been driven. Felt like the classic bait and switch that gives a lot of auto-repair shops a bad name. I guess you can add this one to the list of shady businesses that don't care about their reputation as long as they can get over on you. No thanks. read more

I found DNZ while searching for a used car. I didn't know DNZ from any other used car dealership, but it turns out that they have a great selection of nice, hand-picked vehicles. Great pride is taken in the vehicle preparation for show and sale. They seem to specialize in BMWs, but had a broad collection of customer vehicles being serviced. I felt valued before, during, and after our deal was struck for a BEAUTIFUL, relatively low-mileage BMW Z4. Not at all like some fly-by-night outfits that just want your money, then hope they never see you again. Ownership stands-by their products and service! The girl at the front desk was great . The service people were nice . Came in at 8:30 to ask for an oil change on my M BMW . Was told at other places it is hard to get filter. They said no problem. Came back and dropped the car at 1:00 . They said it would be ready at 2:30. Then they said 4:30. I show up at 3:30 they are working. on it . Not sure if I'm actually getting the real oil change . $ 166. Not sure it's worth dealing with this small owned business. That's why I wanted them to be good . Next time I'm going to dealership. First of all thanks to engin, I recently purchased a e64 M6 wanted it to get checked for codes and problems let me start with the place, it has good parking spot and waiting room, always call for appointment. Oil change for my e64 M6 is very affordable than the ones at LA and the freaking bmw dealership. If you want you're bmw serviced specially M cars , he's the guy to go too, he has extensive knowledge especially with the s85 engine, he is very detailed when accessing problems, he will let you know which needs to be done first. I did not know if I had to completely replace my breaks and more repairs on top of that, or if I just needed a minor fix. They told me exactly what I needed. They broke down the costs of each part, labor, and what is recommended. Very transparent and descriptive. This review is for the customer service, however, I did not get my car serviced here as I took it somewhere closer to where I live for convenience. I had what I assumed was a leak in my coolant and I called around closing time so Engin told me to drop my car off at 9am. I left my car in the am and about an hour later Engin himself let me know my diagnostics including the price for labor and parts. When I let him know that I was going to shop around he was very professional and even offered to give me a copy of the estimate for me. If the shop was a little closer to me and a guarantee same day pickup (needed car by eod in this situation) I would have gotten my car serviced here.
