Until our last experience at Roverland we very much appreciated their service and found their work to be quality. Unfortunately when they made a mistake at our last visit, rather than owning the mistake, apologizing and offering to correct it, Majed / Mark yelled at me for accusing the shop of making a mistake and told me never to bring my car their again. Obviously after that conversation and the way he handled the mistake, I wouldn't chance taking one of our vehicles there again. Our LR4 just turned over 100,000 miles so I took it in for an oil change and to have the hoses and belts inspected. We don't drive our LR4 off road, just easy driving around town. We hadn't driven the car for a few weeks since we were out of town, and just a few weeks later, after taking it to Roverland for the oil change, inspection and any needed replacements, while making a slow turn in a parking lot we felt a small bump, similar to if you barely bump a curb. We drove the 2 miles home and found fluid spewing from near the front axle area. The driver side wheel especially was covered in a grey-ish fluid. I texted Majed / Mark about what was going on and appreciated that he was quick to respond. He suggested we take it to someone local to figure out what the leaking fluid was since his shop is about an hour away from us. Since we didn't know what the fluid was and didn't want to risk damaging the engine, we had it towed to a local shop that a neighbor takes their LR4 to. The shop we towed it to said the transmission cooler lines were not in their clips, that they don't just come out of their clips, and that someone must have taken them out and not put them back in correctly. I ran the issue of transmission cooler lines out of their clips by another local mechanic and 3 Land Rover dealership service centers; they all said they've never seen those lines come loose on their own, that someone must not have put them back in the clips. As the transmission cooler lines were left hanging, the line by the driver's side rubbed/got caught in the steering column and slit open. (They showed us the metal lines and the gash.) Thus the little bump we felt. Since we just had the car in at Roverland for hoses and belts to be inspected, this is a pretty simple case that someone simply didn't complete the job correctly. I texted him about what the local shop found, that's when he called and yelled at me about accusing his shop of making a mistake. Majed / Mark also yelled at me that anyone who previously worked on the car could have left the lines out of the clips. But even if that were the case, since I just brought the vehicle in for Roverland to inspect the belts and hoses, they should have caught that the lines were not in their clips and put them back in. I texted the estimate for the repairs to get the LR4 driveable again through the local shop to Majed / Mark and asked how he would correct the situation. After 7 days I had not heard back from him and texted that we appreciated their past service and quality of work, and that the right thing to do would be to pay for the repairs caused by the mistake / negligence of someone at Roverland. He texted back and said that he doesn't pay for third party repairs and that he would repair it for free at his shop if we had the car towed there. I reminded him that he yelled at me to never bring my car there again. I sent him a copy of the receipt, totaling just over $1600, reached out a couple of times since, and he has not responded or reimbursed us for the cost to have Roverland's mistake corrected. What a horrible way to handle an obvious error on their part. read more

Where can I start with Roverland Detroit, their customer service is unmatched. Prices are more than fair with the quality of work you'll receive. I've been to other independent Range Rover specialists but hands down Roverland is best. I highly recommend Roverland to all enthusiasts. Great business / great business model. Yes, the shop is a little grimy and the neighborhood is a tad dodgy but the owner Mark makes it his mission to get you the Rover parts you need at a fraction of the cost you'd pay retail. Often times he'll even install them for you at a very nominal cost. Pat, the gal on the desk, is friendly and knowledgeable too which makes the Roverland experience even better. This is one of the worse shop to take a Range Rover. Almost every time I took my truck here to get work done I had to bring it back for them to check out what they done from not being satisfied I'm so feed up with this place. My car was on the ground the next day from me telling Mark I didn't want a used air compressor they took the used one off and after I said I didn't want it, and never hooked my old compressor back up just put in screws it was just making noise not gone all the way out. So my truck went to the ground I ask Mark why didn't u ask me if I wanted a used part he just looking crazy the new shop I took my truck to said why they do this I had them check everything they ever done its sad people get did this way trying to trust the wrong person.
