The 5-stars is mainly for being open year-round. Seward is a ghost town in the winter. It feels like 80% of business are closed, making it challenging and frustrating for Alaska residents to visit in the off-season. The main/only negative is that the prices are high, really high. Also, the anti-science rhetoric around GMO foods is a huge turnoff. We need more science in our food supply chain, not less. Fear mongering and food shaming (see also: "clean eating") by people of great privilege is not helpful to improving the outcomes of those that are less fortunate. GMO fresh veggies are about 1000X as healthy as non-GMO, organic, GF cookies. Not everyone can afford massively expensive organic/non-GMO/GF/etc products. And eating those is not necessary for good health for the vast majority of people.

I don't know how they do it, but after this every place in Anchorage we tried their halibut and nothing compared to this. I've tried recreating at home and failed. It's probably the garlic butter and fresh sautéed garlic on the top. So good. We also got their seafood chowder and side of sweet potato fries. Everything was superb. I really wish we would have known that this is the best halibut we found and should have ordered our own!

She deserves a giant bonus or raise for sure, and her customer care was so incredible that if I lived in Seward I would attempt to lure her away to work for me!! I had hiked 9 miles that day and the salad was one of the first things to come out, even starving I barely touched it. Go eat the fish, don't spend a dime on anything else. This menu needs some help they can't decide if they are the local pub or an upscale eatery. Prices show upscale but quality of food outside of the halibut and oysters scream pub food. No cohesion in the menu to a theme as well.
