Price way to expsive Food was good and service too

$81.23 For breakfast at this rate, they will price themselves out of business The people were very nice. The food was very good, but I'm sorry we don't live in Frontenac this Arnold Missouri, and it's not worth the money .

So glad we found Rowena's!! Our server explained some menu items and we ended up ordering Lumpiang Shanghai for an appetizer. They were made from scratch, came out hot & fresh. So delicious! The dipping sauce was also a winner. I had Pancit Bihon and my friend had Pork Adobo. Everything was so good! They will make it to order ... so no bell peppers for me. The food was so delicious that we had to order dessert. Leche Flan!! Wow!! Get it and just let it melt in your mouth. Rich, creamy deliciousness. I can't wait to go back and try new stuff ... but I'll still get the Flan! Please don't miss this hidden gem!

Delicious lumipa!!! I had every intention of taking pictures of the food but we ate it too fast LOL. We started with lumpia and then my husband had the lasagna (we both enjoyed it) and I had a BLT. We will definitely be back. The woman running it was a one woman show when we went but even with her serving and cooking the service was better than most places these days. Only thing is it was too warm inside but that is common with small businesses to save money.

    Chicken adobo

I grew up eating a lot Filipino food from my grand mother who was from the Philippines. This food is amazing. I got the Chicken Adobo. It almost brought me to tears missing my grandmother. It's like she took it straight out of her kitchen. The service is outstanding. The business is only 3 months old, with how good the food is I wouldn't be surprised if they start to sell out of food daily. I would drive hours to come back to this restaurant. Thankfully I live here in Arnold.

It's squeaky clean and has a nice inviting atmosphere in an old building on the main street in Trenton. Expect Randy, one of the owners, to greet you and his Mom to bring the food to your table. I confessed to Randy that I wasn't familiar with Filipino food, so to just bring me something as a newbie to their cuisine. He brought the Adobo Chicken, which is chicken braised in garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, peppercorn and bay leaves along with steamed rice and Lumpiang. The chicken was a very generous portion and silly me, I asked for a knife. I didn't need one as it was as tender as could be. My only wish was that it came with something green, a veggie or something, but there were lots of other dishes that had some green, so it was obviously just the recipe. The rice was also a generous portion and done perfectly. The Lumpiang were very tasty and the chili dipping sauce accented them nicely. While not crowded on a Tuesday at lunchtime, Randy told me they often sell out on weekends, so plan accordingly. This is the kind of place where you go when you want to try something different, but either don't know what, or are afraid to venture out. But do give them a try, and I think you'll go back. I know I will.

We've only tried the restaurant side but one of these days, I will try their cafe and the many offerings. They were busy when we came, had a huge party but they were able to seat us right away. The place was lovely with space to lounge around in the sofa. We started with some lumpiang Shanghai. While that didn't blow me away, the rest of our meal did. I had the pork adobo and my husband ordered the pancit. The serving is enough for 2 people but it was a great way to try different things and have some leftover for the next day. I had both leftovers. The pancit was really good. Not dry and not oily either, just right. Staff were friendly and pleasant. I can't wait to come back!

We both ordered the Filipino style chicken BBQ. To me it was somewhat similar to chicken teriyaki but better. I enjoyed everything on the plate. They all paired well together. I found myself eating the cabbage before anything else. I dipped it into the side cup of vinegar type sauce. My friend asked staff what the sauce was for and was told it's to dip the chicken in but he eats it on everything. . I took his advice and dipped my chicken in it and the combination was similar to a sweet and sour chicken. I also poured a little on my rice and that taste was good as well. The inside of the place has a cool relaxing vibe. The only problem I had that I drove past the restaurant twice without noticing it. I have added pictures from across the street hopefully that's helpful to someone else. I will definitely return soon if not this upcoming week for lunch.

I would like to preface this review by saying that I lived in Hawaii for five years. I have always been a plate lunch enthusiast. I was happy to see that Buzz's menu offers everything you could want to make a delicious meal reminiscent of the islands. Traditionally, plate lunch includes two scoops of rice, a scoop of mac salad, and a protein. Sticky sweet teriyaki sauce on chicken or steak, or crispy chicken katsu, or maybe Kalua pork are all good options. I went with the kalbi ribs and garlic shrimp. The kalbi was done well. The garlic shrimp missed the mark for me. In fairness, my frame of reference is Giovanni's shrimp truck on the North Shore of Hawaii. This shrimp was dry and was missing the garlic butter sauce. We also tried the lumpia, manapua, kalua sandwich, and an order of loaded fries. This is just a small portion of their amazing menu. I'm confident there is something for everyone. My favorite part of the meal were the signature Dole Whip. I was momentarily transported back to the Dole pineapple plantation! If you're more adventurous the lilikoi are absolutely amazing!! BUT entering, there was like, no aloha spirit, the vibes were so off, the music selected wasn't even, at least modern Island reggae, and the lights were really dim. That is outside of the HUGE wait times of DoorDash orders coming through and stalling the people waiting in line to order. The staff were working HARD to get through the line, but they were just overworked. We got an order of garlic shrimp that came with rice, mac salad, and a pineapple slice for some reason. We also ordered the Poke Bomb Flight which is fried tofu skins filled with rice and topped with poke. The Poke Bomb Flight, or inari, was pretty good! I liked the flavor of the poke and it was a great one bite situation. The garlic shrimp however was small - like not even plate lunch servings. It was 5 pieces of shrimp, two small scoops of rice, and mayo heavy mac salad. They must be doing something right though with all those DoorDash orders, but we won't be coming back to try more.

I know it's hard to compare restaurant food to home-cooked meals, and I wasn't expecting to be wowed. "Mid" would've been fine, but unfortunately, this fell below that for us. We ordered the menudo, chicken adobo, bangus, and lechon. Both the menudo and chicken adobo were noticeably sweet and not in a subtle way. The bangus only came as half with the combo (I'm not sure if that's standard), which was a bit disappointing since I'm used to getting a whole bangus. The lechon had a slightly off taste possibly from the oil used. I ended up cutting it up and putting it in the air fryer, which helped a bit, especially with Mang Tomas. My kids were excited for the ube bread, but there was barely any ube. Thankfully, I had ube jam at home to add more. That said, I'm still glad this restaurant is here representing the Filipino community. It's wonderful that they host gatherings and bring people together. I do think there's room for improvement, especially when it comes to showcasing Filipino food well for those who may be trying it for the first time.
