So uncomfortable, my husband and bro in law just went and sat in the car with the AC blasting. Waitress was sporadic to put it nicely. I had high expectations of this place, although I was hesitant of a place that declares "fine dining" in their name. After i got a groupon, I decided to try it out. We (2 of us) went on half price wine night. After looking at the fine print on the groupon, it only said not valid for happy hour specials. There was nothing that said not valid with other offers or deals, so I figured the half price wine would still apply. It didn't, no huge deal though. I had the flat iron steak for dinner. She had the salmon. Her salmon was great and looked great. The potatoes could have been a little better in my opinion, but nothing to complain too much about. My steak was good when I wasn't taking a bite and getting a strip of ligament or something that was running down the piece of meat. If the meat had been trimmed properly, it would have been great. This is something I might expect at a place that didn't have "fine dining" in their name. Other than that misfortune, the food was great. My steak was a little under cooked for medium, but i enjoy medium rare too so it wasn't too big of a deal. Better under than over cooked anyways. To sum things up, there are other places that are more reasonably priced with just as good food, and trimming meat should not be an issue at a place like this. read more

Our private party turned not-so-private when the owner/chef allowed several of his relatives to join. Each guest of the private party paid a flat rate for wine and beer and to use the restaurant to celebrate the New Year. However, our party turned ugly when the owner's relatives disrupted our party and refused to stop bothering several of the women in attendance. The older men were creepy, preying on twenty-somethings while the owner's nephew and friend kept pestering a female guest to come home with them. One of the men even grabbed a female guest, refusing to let go, cursing her when she asked them to leave her friends alone. Not to mention, a young boy slept on a table bench in the midst of our party while his family partied on. I will say the bartenders provided great service but my experience was so disappointing I will not be going there again. So much for a happy New Year! read more

I ordered a steak, my date had the lamb chops, and we had the standard potatoes and side. Across the board, everything tasted like it was missing seasoning. My steak was cooked below the temperature I ordered, and while I know a lot of people love a thick-cut steak, this one was just too thick for my taste. Without enough seasoning, it ended up tasting bland instead of flavorful. It really needed something as simple as seasoned salt to bring it to life. Considering the prices, I expected a much better dining experience. Great service and great drinks weren't enough to make up for food that didn't impress me. Overall, I'd give Buckhead's a 5.5/10. Based on my experience, I wouldn't go back, especially with so many other restaurants in Richmond to try.

We started with scallops that were absolutely delish. The field green salad had a semi-sweet, tangy balsamic vinaigrette, and the Caesar came topped with anchovies. I went with the prime ribeye, crusted in pepper just like our server suggested, and it delivered. Meanwhile, the halibut didn't stand a chance... the plate was completely wiped clean by the end of the table's attack. We took dessert home: a red velvet cake with beet purée and a goat cheese and blood orange icing.

The shrimp frittata was delicious! Beautiful presentation but even more beautiful balance of fresh flavors.
