    Onion Soup Gratinee

Buckheads was amazing as always! My husband and I came for our anniversary dinner. Each of us started with a soup. I got the onion and he got the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was creamy and the onion soup hit the spot. The onion had the perfect balance of cheese, bread, onions, and broth. My husband got the ribeye and I got the filet. Both were cooked perfectly!! Came out medium rare as ordered and they were juicy and simply seasoned. Side vegetables were perfectly steamed and the potatoes are always delicious. Our server was incredible and attentive. Will be back!

Salad comes with the meal. We did have appetizers but I forgot to take pictures. Spouse got the ahi tuna and I had the escargot. The anchovies on the Caesar salad were delicious. I loved the tuna but was not as fond of the escargot. There was a lot of garlic. But not overly flavorful. Service is prompt. Place is on the dark side. We sat near the window. I had the Cowboy cut 20 oz ribeye and spouse had the 14 oz ribeye. Both very good. Packed up the leftover baked potato and for me the steak. It was very good. But very large. Dessert we will share. We decided to share the lemon curd & mascarpone cheesecake. Leftovers were packed up for us. The cheesecake is delicious. I had stated in the reservation that it was my spouse's birthday. But there was no mention at all during dinner. That surprised me. Why ask if it is a special occasion if they don't at least say something.

Came to Buckheads with my gal pals for a nice dinner and Buckheads did not disappoint. Walking into the restaurant immediately gave me speakeasy vibes. The place radiates warmth and elegance because of the low lighting and wooden accents. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. They offered to escort me to the ladies room rather than telling me how to get there which is always nice. The food was really good I ordered a steak and potatoes. The steak was cooked seasoned perfectly and the potatoes were Devine. We also shared some onion rings. The onion rings are massive, I've never seen onion rings this big and they were really good. Overall I really enjoyed dining here and would definitely come back to celebrate a special occasion in the future.

We had a very disappointing visit to Buckheads for a special occasion. It was our first time but I don't think we'd give it another go. It started with us waiting for our table for about 10 min while they got it ready and once we were seated we seriously waited another 10 minutes to get menus. It was the weirdest thing. Service felt lackadaisical and extremely underwhelming. The steaks we got were near flavorless and the side options just felt very generic for an "upscale" place. The scallop appetizer was very good and the French onion soup was a hit but everything else was meh.

Buckheads has been on my list for awhile and I finally decided to go with a group of friends for a bday , a first time experience for us all. While this place has been around for a while it's in such an unassuming location... a strip mall! But parking was plentiful which I liked. Upon entering I got more of a homey/cozy vibes .. not super upscale but not rinky dink either. You can tell they have their regulars.. its like we stuck out to everyone bc everyone stared upon entry LOL. The hostess was kind of rude and stand off ish and would not seat us until our exact reservation time even though it was 8pm and tables weren't full. The food: I ordered the French onion soup as an app and it was delicious. I love a good French onion soup! For my main entree I decided on the filet medallions with the crab with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies as my side. I will say everything was seasoned to perfection and the portions didn't leave us hungry (which you don't get often in a steakhouse) My only complaint is that while my steak looked like it was cooked medium as I requested the texture/chew was a bit tougher than I'd expect for a filet. The entrees also come with your choice of salad which I chose a Caesar. The dressing lacked some depth but it was edible. Our waiter was nice however he didn't come to check on us as much as we'd like. We didn't get asked if we'd like more cocktails or refills on our drinks. However, he did bring my friend a dessert for his bday which was nice. Overall a decent experience.

From the service to the bill, everything was awesome. We celebrated my hubby birthday and wanted to so somewhere we have never been. We were skeptical at first glance but once we got inside, we noticed it was very nice. As for dinner it was delicious. I had a Cesar salad, salmon with vegetables and a potato cake. My husband had a 14oz medium well ribeye, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. For desert we took home crème brûlée, caramel pecan pie, and key lime pie(free for the bday guy). Our overall experience was awesome. And prices were decent. Oh and we had calamari as an appetizer.

Will they honor a gift certificate that expired 12/31/22? I did not know that there was a date that you had to redeem it by.

It's best to call Buckhead's directly and ask them. I would assume they would since it's not too long ago... but call to be certain.

What a great decision! When you walk in, you immediately notice that all of the wines are beautifully displayed -- it doubles as a wine shop, which gives it such a warm and welcoming vibe. It feels cozy but elevated at the same time. They don't offer flights for groups larger than five, but we were able to order one dealer's choice flight based on our preferred flavor profiles. From there, we could select a bottle inspired by the flight. A few of us gravitated toward reds. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable -- we told her the flavor profiles we liked, and she brought out three reds to try. The Wade & Wayfarer Pinot Noir was our favorite (so good!), though a bit pricier. We also tried the Alkoorai Cab/Merlot blend, which ended up being our least favorite. Ultimately, we chose the Denner Nightshade GSM -- excellent pick. Bonus tip: if you purchase a bottle $50 or more, there's no corkage fee; under $50, there is. Our waitress also mentioned that South American Merlots are the best Merlots as we all mentioned Merlot tends to be more dry. A few in our group ordered the Masterpiece Theatre cocktail on our waitress's recommendation -- she did not steer us wrong! Food-wise, everything was a hit. Our friends ordered the Cacio e Pepe burrata, pickled shrimp, Caesar salad, mushroom and leek flatbread, and the Brie and pear flatbread (both flatbreads were huge!). They loved every dish. My husband and I shared the bread with olive oil (simple and delicious), the charred octopus (tender with amazing flavor), gnocchi Bolognese, and lamb chops. Everything was fantastic -- the only small note was that the lamb could've been a bit more rare -- but still very flavorful. By the end of the night, all six of us agreed we'd absolutely be back. We're even looking into their wine club -- $60/month for two bottles (pickup required at the shop), which honestly sounds like a great deal. Apparently, they change up their wine flights weekly, which makes it even more fun and gives us a reason to return. Such a great experience all around -- can't wait to go back and try more wines!

They like what they are doing. It's in a strip mall parking lot so parking is pretty easy; if it's crowded, you might not be able to park right in front of the restaurant but there's still plenty of parking. We chose flights of wine to start out and really enjoyed each of the three we picked. For appetizers we got the pumpkin hummus and the Muhammara which is a roasted red pepper and walnut dip with toasted pita. My friends enjoyed their hummus, and my husband, and I thought the pepper and walnut dip were out of this world. We wanted more for dinner. The pita was the perfect crispiness and accompaniment for the dip. Having had limp pita at another restaurant recently makes me especially locked in on this detail lol For mains we got the duck confit tacos, the gnocchi bolognese and the hippie chick salad with roasted salmon. My friend enjoyed her salad, but I forgot to ask how she liked the roasted salmon on top. It looked tasty and was something I was considering for next time. I got the duck confit tacos which were definitely different from your standard fare and had a nice kick to it without being overwhelming. On my first bite I thought it was gonna be too spicy, but the heat did not build to unbearable. Still not sure I'm a fan of duck, but it was done very well and I wasn't disappointed. My husband's gnocchi Bolognese was done perfectly. I was shocked how light and pillowy the gnocchi were and loved the Bolognese, which was the perfect amount of savory without being too rich; elevated comfort food for sure . We were too full from dinner to order dessert which kept our bill down to a little over one Benji for drinks, one appetizer and two beans, , which is pretty typical for a nice meal out these days. I do miss the days when you could go out for $30-$45 a person even with a shared appetizer and drinks but WW is more on the reasonable side compared to most. We will definitely be back though and Iwoll be investigating the private room option for a milestone birthday or anniversary. Well done WW!

When we first walked in, the place was pretty crowded, but we were able to grab a couple spots at the bar and figured we'd settle in for a good night. That's where things went sideways. The bartender appeared to be the only one working, and while I understand being busy, the attitude and behavior were honestly shocking. Every interaction felt aggressive. Remotes getting slammed around. Napkins and pens tossed onto the counter. Water being splashed onto the floor like a toddler throwing a tantrum. The entire atmosphere at the bar felt tense and uncomfortable. It got to the point where we almost felt awkward ordering anything because every request seemed like it was ruining their night. At one point another couple sat down next to us and almost immediately started looking around like, "is this really happening right now?" I actually ended up warning them that no, they weren't imagining it, and that it had been our experience the entire time too. That alone should tell you how uncomfortable the atmosphere was. Which is unfortunate because the kitchen actually did their part. The food was good. Really good. But good food only carries a place so far when the service makes you want to leave before the meal even arrives. I've worked in and around hospitality long enough to understand busy nights happen.
