They kept my car for two days and charged me $200 just to "run tests." After that, they told me I needed a start sensor, new spark plugs, and an engine carbon cleaning -- with a total estimate of over $1,300. I specifically asked them to tell me only what was necessary to get my car running properly. Their response was, "We can leave the spark plugs and it will still be $800 for the sensor and carbon cleaning." At that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable and pressured, and it seemed like I was being overcharged. I decided to get a second opinion from Elite Exhaust & Brake in Plano, and the difference was shocking. They quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem by replacing the start sensor for $280 -- that's it. No upselling, no unnecessary work. Best automotive repair experience I have had…read more Christmas Eve, I called more than 15 shops. Finally this one answered with knowledgeable assistance and personable demeanor. I had to be towed an hour to get there. They diagnosed the problem quickly, had the parts brought even quicker and I was out there door with peace of mind for my holiday travels. They advised future issues that might come up, honored their parts and service with a warranty and have a very nice waiting room where I could work. Kudos to Kevin for his excellent customer service and the entire staff seemed to be friends and happy. Even on Christmas Eve.

However, the other guys did not install my manual shifter correctly after 2 attempts & having my car for over 1.5 months. The shifter when installed correctly, is supposed to prevent anyone from going to into reverse instead of 1st gear. I was told to drive it a bit & bring it back, that happened twice. The problem was never fixed. You would think they would work on it right away since they had already received my payment but my car was thrown to the back of the line. After literally being bribed by one of the service managers, which I provided proof to the manager, the shifter installed incorrectly & being without my car for a long time due to all of the errors, I regret the day I let them work on my car.

My truck stuttered and died on 1187 North of Forth Worth about two weeks after I got it and I had it towed to Permier Diesel in Mansfield, TX where they told me the head gaskets were blown and the costs would run about $5K. The dealership that sold me the car said he didn't want Premier to repair it and had it towed to Redline Garage, Farmersville, TX for repairs. A ASE Auto Repair shop. The dealership asked that I be patient for the repair. Three weeks later and I was told the valve covers were leaking. Finally picked up the vehicle and drove it home. Oil was still pouring from the engine leaving puddles in my drive way.. Contacted the dealership and was told to take it back to them, which I did. It is a 92 mile drive one way for me to get to Redline. Dale, the Diesel Mechanic, said the oil was leaking from the area near the Rocker Arms and would costs around $2800 to repair. I explained, I didn't have that kind of money as I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income. The warranty wasn't mentioned at all.... I will say, I got angry because they didn't fix it the first time and left. Dale, yelled at me "that he didn't want to fix my bucket of shit and not to bring my truck back there". The dealership said that Dale was going to talk about the warranty, but Dale did not do that. I wouldn't take anything here that is diesel related as he is a joke, and let me explain why. I took the truck to a diesel repair shop yesterday (9.21.20) in Cresson, TX. They only work on diesels - the 18 wheelers and little trucks, like my diesel. The diagnostics came back that the right side of the head was blown.. Now, if Dale from Redline Garage is ASE certified, why didn't he fix the problem the first time? I have two other shops saying the gaskets were blown... but Dale does not.. so who should I trust? A snake in the Grass that goes by the name of Dale - or two other ASE shops who reported the same problem... You be the judge, but be warned... condescinding money hungry little twirp.

After going round and round with both the local service dept and Honda corporate and even showing all the text messages and pictures of the error message on my dash prior to the warranty expiration date, they still would not cover the repair and wanted to charge me many hundreds of dollars to fix the issue. A friend recommend Malek at ESS and while it was a drive from where I am, I was so frustrated with the dealership service dept, I scheduled the time to meet with Malek. After doing a full diagnostic they found the issue which was based on an old lingering code that had not been cleared from the electronics. Taking my car to Malek (ESS) I learned that dealerships only want to sell parts to make money instead of actually fixing the issue for a much lower cost! My car works great now with no errors popping up and all the car's original functionality performing the way it should. I plan to bring my car back to Malek for all future maintenance and repairs! He is the best and so much less expensive than the high priced dealerships!

Bimmers said my coolant pump did not need to be replaced and this saved me thousands and fixed the problem I had taken to Autoscope to fix for over a year! They kept saying they fixed it and each repair they did was over $2800 - more than $10K in one year and problem was never fixed. Everyone at Bimmers is professional and HONEST and knowledgeable!
