= INTRO = This was not our first time at Parkway. I have used this facility several time. For State Inspections, vehicle repair and other services. The best place that I have found to have my vehicles maintained. Tony represents the facility as if it were his own. Thank you for that. = L O C A T I O N = 5 Location is in a conveniently located off Highway 66 (Lakeview Parkway). There is limited parking but plenty if you are just dropping off your vehicle. If you are going to stay, they will have your vehicle in soon and open another space for someone else. =ATMOSPHERE= 5 The facility is very clean and friendly. They serve coffee for you all day long. There is a restroom in the lobby if you are staying to wait for your vehicle, or drink too much coffee. The work bays are clean and ready for your vehicle. = S E R V I C E = 5 Service was very good. From the desk clerk to the mechanic, whom you don't get to speak to really but you can see somewhat through the door in the back or if the bays are open, watch from the outside. There is some sort of law that prohibits customers to be in the bay at the time of work. = P R I C E = 3 The price is a little high but fair throughout. I have used this facility and trust what they do. I have had to have only one re-work on any of the jobs I have had done. I've been here three times for an oil change, inspection, and another oil change and had no issues my first two times but the third time there was a different man at the front counter. I wish I got his name, but he had a mustache and was super grumpy. He was helping someone else when I walked in and when he finished with them I approached the counter and he didn't acknowledge me for a little while and when he looked up he said "oh. I thought you were her," and pointed at another woman sitting waiting. I guess if she had a question he didn't plan on helping her. I explained my situation to him, that my car was saying that I needed an oil change but according to the sticker that I got in February from Parkway Car Care I was still 2,000 miles or one month away from needing one. He told me that it's time or mileage, whichever comes first. I obviously know this, and it hadn't reached the mileage or time but he wasn't listening to me. He asked me how many miles were on it and when I told him, he said it would need an oil change in 500 miles and that I should go ahead and get one. I don't understand why there was a 1,500 mile discrepancy between what they told me in February and what he was telling me now. I went ahead and got the oil change which ended up costing $10 more than it did in February and I didn't even get my full time/mileage out of that one. The wait wasn't bad but the man complained about how much work he had (I was the only one there at this point), fussed at a few employees, and complained to me that they filled out paperwork wrong. Weird and unprofessional. One last odd note - he mentioned how Father's Day was just the day before and his birthday was in a few days, and that he was riding high. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET LIED TO & RIPPED OFF!! Brought my truck by for an inspection. In which they said would be fast but took them almost an hour. To make matters worse they said my it failed because of license plate light bulb, then tried to charge me $50 to replace it. I they said for "labor" , what labor I asked? I showed them in literally 10 seconds how to pull out the tiny light bulb. Then proceeded to try & charge me $10 for the single light (sell in 10 pack at storefor $3), then I guess it being close to the end of the day. Told me I would have to come back tomorrow. SURE enough, after I left my bulb was working the entire time!!!! LIED to the entire time. Won't ever be back. read more

Only reason I am leaving a one is because it requires it. I am posting to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Me and my wife had our vehicle repaired at this shop in the past and they were great however this last time they have definitely changed. I'm not sure if it's new management or new staff but this is the worst experience I have ever had at a shop. We took our vehicle in for a check engine light. They said they fixed all issues pertaining to the light and when we picked the vehicle up the check engine light was off. We could only get about 4-5 miles before the light was back on. After speaking with the shop they told us to bring it back to the shop. Before we could get it back to the shop it was barely running. We had to get the vehicle towed to the shop and they supposedly fixed it again. We went to pick it up and they charged us again!!! Told us they would give us a refund and we haven't received it yet. We drove for about 4-5 miles again and the check engine light was back on and the truck was back firing. Instead of taking it to parkway again we took it to the dealership and discovered the engine can not be fixed and we are out of a car. Don't take your car to this place it is a rip off and the quality of work is not good. Talking with them is useless he wanted us to continue to give them a chance and now that they know about the issue phone calls and text are few and far between. Took my vehicle in to have the sway bar end links replaced. Receptionist said I had to pay $99.95 for the mechanic to verify they needed replacement before they would do the work. It's a Minnesota vehicle with typical rusted bolts so they need to be cut off with a torch. I do NOT need this verified and am NOT going to pay 99.95 to have a mechanic look at rusted bolts. Will never do business with this shop. Think twice before having your vehicle serviced there. read more

Came in to have brake and rotors changed both front and back after I notice some smoke coming from my front axle and grinding noises. TJ was exceptional in getting me the information I needed and kept me in the loop throughout the process. It was discovered that a caliper was also in need of replacement which they took care of after letting me visually inspect it. Prices came in the lowest from nearby shops which I was ecstatic about. Update to my first review I took my 2015 BMW into Parkway for heavy smoke out of the exhaust upon start up. Since Parkway repairs I've taken my car for a second and third opinion elsewhere because of the heavy smoke out of the exhaust upon start up still existed after two repairs. Parkway did valve cover gaskets replacement twice for the smoking. In addition I was charged twice for parts and labor, this supports the statement that Parkway doesn't stand behind the guarantee on the receipt. I reached out to Parkway and told them the car was still smoking heavily out of the exhaust after the second repair. Parkway's suggestion was to drive the car more, put miles on it and eventually it will stop smoking out of the exhaust. They're the experts on BMW as mentioned on their page so I believed them. After being frustrated with the continuing smoke I decided to stop driving my car until I could get another opinion. I didn't want to pay Parkway a third time for parts and labor for the same job and to be compensated with a free oil change because the lack of the guarantee on their work. The guarantee on their work is on the bottom of their receipts. I received reimbursement for a part that I paid for months earlier and they were not proactive with doing so this was done after several conversations. Luckily I kept all of my receipts for repairs because it seemed as though Parkway didn't remember doing the initial repair J expected that they would have looked at the history of the repairs and would have proactively told us we've done this work on your car and the repair is covered. We had to dig up receipts and tell them that they did the first repair and begin to question them about the second repair being the same thing. The end result is we're out of money for labor on work they did months prior. Shame on us because we should have never went back to Parkway and allowed them to do the same repair twice. I should have took other actions however I listened to Parkway and gave them the chance to redeem themselves. Eventually I decided to take my car in for a second and third opinion, the third opinion is because I learned from the bad experience with Parkway not to trust the first opinion. I recommend a second opinion before allowing a major repair or just go to the dealership. Upon my seeking additional diagnosis I never mentioned what work was done only that my car was smoking out of the exhaust when I start it up. I will conclude that the valve cover replacement is not the issue why my car was smoking out of the exhaust as Parkway thought and it would have never stopped smoking like Parkway advised. Two mechanics diagnosed the reason for the smoke and both said the same thing. I'm not upset with Parkway because people make mistakes my disgust is I was charged twice for an issue that was going to continue because it's not the reason for the smoke out of the exhaust. I did reach out to Parkway before my initial post, the first call I was told they were busy the second time I set an appointment online and received an email that I was scheduled and shortly after that received another email stating my appointment was canceled and nothing was available until mid march. My post is only to educate, I will add that Parkways service was great for several years, however now the shop seems to appear more transactional it's quantity over quality and lack of accountability for mistakes. There's a happy ending I finally found out the reason for the smoke out of the exhaust from somewhere else, in addition I found someone trustworthy and knowledgeable about the BMW that can service my car going forward. My hope is that Parkway take this feedback and loss of five customer serious and work to improve what they lack in which is trust and gain or update their craft on repairing vehicles. read more

Talk about integrity and honesty, this place has it. I went to get and oil change and a tire rotation. The oil change was done, but the tire rotation was explained to me and showed that it would have not been in my best interest to do so because my back brakes, shocks and tires were not in good shape, and by rotating the tires it would mess up my front. So they didn't recommend doing it. I've had numerous negative experiences with car repair shops taking advantage of females and their lack of knowledge about automobiles, if this would have been all about the money, they would have done the rotation just to charge me. I was very thankful for their honesty. That, goes a long way these days. I saw several customers that came in and they way they treated them. They also have very fair prices. I will surely use them from now on and recommend anyone that wants good, honest service to use their services. read more

This is the last time I will use this place. I stopped by Friday afternoon for an inspection. Monday morning, I was told by the registration place that the year of the car was incorrect on the inspection. I drove back to Parkway and the guy at the front desk (Tony) said the mistake was probably made due to incorrect information on my insurance card. After confirming the insurance information was correct, then he blamed another employee for the typo. He then asked for the car so they do a re-inspection. I, unfortunately, did not have the car with me. I was then rudely told to return with the car together with a 'PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES!!!" All I wanted was an apology for my wasted time. "I told you that I was sorry...SHEESH!!" does not sound genuine to me. I understand people make mistakes, but there is no excuse for rude and disrespectful customer service. read more

I've used this place several times now (Close to home and at first wasn't too inconvenient). Every repair has taken longer than originally appraised. That extra time has ranged from 1 day to 5 extra days. The manager never called when he said he would to keep me up to date on any changes in time or repair status. This last time, they had to drive my car a bit to put some miles on it before finalizing state inspection. What they didn't have to do was drive on the tollway and stick me with the fees. I won't take my car here again. Even though they claim their work is warranted, they messed up the alignment and I still would not put my car back in their hands even to correct that. Be careful people. My wifes Lexus stalled out on the way to work, while trying to re-start the vehicle i heard the familiar click, click noise of a low battery. I jumped started the car and drove it to a local Auto Zone for a free diagnostic. The battery was low, but it looks like something was draining the battery (as i suspected the battery was only 2 years old). We drove it to Parkway to get the vehicle repaired. After a few hours their diagnosis was a bad battery hmmm....ok put a new one at a cost of $200....$120 for the battery and $90 for installation and diagnosis. Well, next day, exact same problem but this time at her office in Richardson. The car was towed to Parkway to see what was wrong now. NEW diagnosis....bad alternator. Price to repair.....$500.....ok, put my old battery back and return the $200! Not possible, I was told that the old battery damaged the alternator. Wow, i was just born yesterday and surely believe this. So Auto Zones FREE diagnosis was correct. I dont mind paying for the bad alternator...but a new battery....and a $90 diagnostic fee that was not correct......NO WAY!!! Be careful people. L Zepeda read more

Previously had all my vehicles repaired there. New owner or management took over. I paid for a new windshield washer reservoir for my wife's car. Found out never installed but was charged for it. Had passenger side mirror replaced but the electronics never installed. My video was disconnected and the interior door handle damaged along with the dash board when repairing the AC. Spoke with new owner who had attitude and challenged my issues. Never go back, dishonest and shoddy work. read more

Took my car in for a minor inspection, everything was running properly. They quoted extensive repairs which I questioned and refused. My car suddenly wouldn't start when I went to pick it up. Found body damage to my right front fender, stereo that no longer works, and even the hood stands were missing! They took no responsibility. Had to have my car towed out of there. I have been a customer of Parkway multiple times. The experience has been mixed but always average of acceptable. Something like Scott C., but the work and price have been acceptable. But my last experience has been a final straw. Had my timing belt and oil leak fixed, the serpentine belt was also replaced. When I picked up my van, there was an issue that had to be addressed. I waited for this to be done. The van squealed like crazy - this I was told would go away. It never did. While trying to solve / end the squeal, I found a bolt stuck in the hood weatherstripping. As an industrial / cnc mechanic this was alarming. This kind of sloppiness cause damage and injury. If a bolt about 5 inches long fall into rotating equipment... I returned to show and ask about the bolt. It was shrugged off along with the squeal, again. Well I finally fixed the squeal. But only after I replaced tensioner and idler pulleys, the alternator, and the new belt. Turns out, the belt was much shorter than the one sold to me by a parts store. To recap, the repairs made caused a problem, they refused to investigate it. I spent a lot of time and money to solve the issue. They could have put the original belt back on for less or checked the two belts side by side like I was taught. Also I added an after market guard for the serpentine belt. This prevents the belt from coming off during rain - a known issue for my van. They removed this saying it was unnecessary, I had to get another one, because it still is necessary. This last repair cost me out of their arrogance and ignorance. I cannot recommend Parkway anymore. read more
