This has to be the one time I didn't take my phone out to capture pictures of my meal lol so not 2022 of me! Went for a work lunch trip on a Friday as soon as they opened (11:00AM) - which thank goodness we had reservations because they were packed shortly there after. We started off with their complimentary bread with dipping oil & vinegar, very tasty! We then ordered some appetizers, shrimp cocktail and the chicken meatball sliders - both were amazing! The sliders were HUGE lol so if you think you are getting these as a small app - they are not! Two of us had the Roxx Caeser with grilled prawns - BEST Caeser salad I've had to date! Soooo tasty! The other had the special of the day which was clam chowder. Unfortunately she wasn't as happy as we were with our salads (it was runny and the potatoes in it were HUGE lol so definite room for improvement there). Service was a little slow but the ladies were quite delightful so no biggie there! I would definitely like to come back and explore some more of their menu! read more

Great food and great service! Fresh food and live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. They made today special for my beloved and thanks so much for making us smile. My first time here the staff was very versed in the menu and the food was delicious. A very nice downtown restaurant doing a job!

I arrived on a Friday evening at around 7 pm asking for a table for two. Sadly, I was treated very rudely by an inhospitable Hostess. It felt like racial profiling though she herself was Brown. I was with my partner to have dinner and asked to put my name on a waiting list. The Hostess flat out said "No, we don't have any tables. The kitchen is small & we're busy." When I asked if there was a wait and she said, "There are no tables at all. SORRY." Meanwhile there was a small, open table on the deck and the inside bar was also open. This is precisely the kind of behavior that is baffling to me in this place and age. Power trip anyone? read more

Our first time in 2024. The crab sandwich with fries/tater tots was GREAT. I could not finish it at dinner but ate last 1/2 for breakfast. Crab! The breakfast of champions. Our server was also spot on with her service and followup throughout the meal. We had brought 'old' Navy friends to dine with us. They also were impressed and had a great time. No way is this rating accurate! This place is horrible! I ate here a year ago with my wife and we couldn't remember why we hadn't eaten here since, until tonight. Oh ya their food is horrible! All of us had bad meals, from the overly sugared bread, to the really bad wine selection. The food is way over priced and so sauced it's just horrible. From the pasta Gemala which is 80% frozen vegetables with some cheap pasta to their pork chop which is just drowned in sauce and bland. All is bad, just nasty. Also watch out on the wine! They're ripping everyone off here! We ordered the McGrail 2016 for $59 (their best wine) supposedly. What we got was a smoke tainted 2020 McGrail that was sold through the wine auction houses from the insurance companies (major difference in price from a 2016 to a tainted 2020). Let's back up here a min, we all remember 2020 fire season, most wineries dumped their wine and some tried to go to bottle but realized it was bad so triggered insurance, who made them whole and bought all their wine. Now the insurance companies can sell their wine through auction houses and major discount house hence grocery outlet and others, now Roxx's. Now take a look at Roxx's wine list, 95% are insurance wines! Trust me I'm in the insurance mitigation industry so I understand it. These are throw away wines they are trying to pass off as 2016's and others but watch their labels, their all 2020 (basically fraud here), they're relying on most people not paying attention or knowing. When i confronted the bar tender he said "oh we just ran out and got these cases in, I'll have to update the list". Judging by how high he was I'm not sure it's getting updated anytime soon. Either way this restaurant would have gone out if it wasn't for their live music. Who brings in great local people to eat their horrible food, drink their nasty wine and listen to their great music. So many other choices in Martinez to try, trust me try them first. Even taco daddy's would have been better and that's freaking tacos. Roxx! Step it up, you have a great location no reason to have the worst wine list in Martinez and the sauciest food. Time to hire a new chef or fire yourself as CEO if you're making these bad decisions! We went to Roxx on Main for lunch one day, after shopping at the Farmers Market. There was 5 of us and was lucky to get seated right away. We looked over the menu, but a really nice waitress suggested the special which was avacado crab sandwich on sourdough toast. It was delicious & filling. We shared a really scrumptious dessert that was a chocolate bread pudding with chocolate ice cream. We highly recommend this place. Btw, Roxx On The Main will be featured on TV PBS on May 12, 2022. Had a great lunch with server Darlene. She certainly knows how to sell her products! The crab salad $37 was just OK. The black and blue salad excellent, flat iron sandwich excellent, Chinese chicken salad excellent. Very crowded during lunch. All in all a wonderful experience. read more

Came for dinner with the family on a Saturday evening. The hostess was very welcoming.We wanted to sit outside but there were no seats until after the street was closed and they accommodated us as soon as tables where set. My wife enjoyed the delicious polenta bake with chicken meatballs , while I had the flatiron steak that was cooked perfectly along with potatoes gratin. My son had the delicious burger with tater tots. We had great service from our waitress to the entire staff. read more

Wow! What a welcomed treat. I have to say... I had the most DELICIOUS lunch Roxx on Main today. This is a Caesare salad with chicken added. So fresh. Not that milky, creamy, "common" dressing... this was really delicious. Lots of different greens and SO So flavorful... just really delicious. They have a full bar, fresh specials, and have a beautifully decorative inside and a comfortable outside patio. It's worth the trip to Martinez just for ROXX on Main. read more

Had lunch there on Tuesday at noon. We had Chicken Meatball Sliders and a Turkey Avocado Sandwich. Our food was delicious!. Breads were very soft and tasty. They have daily specials! Service was superb! Very professional, kind and detailed in describing the specials. The atmosphere was comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this place. Absolutely some of the best food I've had in California! Started with the s'mores dessert. Had the steak sandwich with tater tots, soup. And salad. Everything had beautiful presentation, but the flavor was the best! The soup and salad were so fresh I felt like everything was picked fresh from the garden! Very impressed, the ambiance is nice, the music was great not too loud so you could still hear the person you're dining with. The bartender made me a special drink with strawberries in a large hurricane glass, it was made to perfection. I ordered the Gemelli pasta with roasted seasonal veggies, it was an excellent choice and big portion. The bread was fresh and irresistible. My friend ordered the steak it was lean and delicious. The desserts were to die for, loved the 'so much Mores' and I tasted the fresh seasonal fruit crisp both were dreamy. The service was on hit. Horrible service!!! My family and I came in around 6pm only a few tables were taken. We placed our order 10 minutes after sitting down and we didn't get our food until after 7pm. People that came after us were already getting their food. When I asked the server if we can just pay for the drinks and appetizer that came out,she assured me the food was next. The food was great, the service was ok. We got there pretty early in the evening and wanted to eat dinner and listen to the music and have after dinner drinks outside. We asked to be seated outside, the girl said we had to have a reservation to sit outside, so we agreed to sit inside. We were disappointed we couldn't hear the music while we ordered food and cocktails and possibly stayed and spent more money because all we really wished was to sit outside at this awesome place. I Love Roxx on Main's healthy dishes. Great combinations of tastes. You can get comfort food or healthy salads. This restaurant is my absolute favorite in the Benicia/Martinez area. We live in Benicia & gladly pay the bridge toll to come here. The waiting service is friendly and extremely accommodating. We love to come when Jeff T & Darby are providing the music. Or we come for an early dinner when it's quieter. Tables are situated close to each other. Not a lot of privacy when there's a full house. One private table in the house ~ but make sure to ask to reserve it by reservation. Overall, I'll make the sacrifice of sitting next to someone for their delicious, well priced food. read more

First time at Roxx! I walk by when downtown and see all the nice looking dishes but never stopped in to grab a bite! They have outside seating and now some indoor aswell! Service is fast, professional and friendly! I got a tuna salad sandwich with a salad to go and it was delicious! The sandwich was filling and the salad was also great! I will definately be back! The food is amazing, delicious with good portions. Sat outside with live music, wonderful. Children dancing in surrounding sidewalks, charming. We relized only one server worked inside and outside tables. The table next to us, locals perhaps, were read the specials (not us) and were attend to frequently. We rarely had contact with our server. 4 back waiters and they were idle, no water refills, etc. nice people but more attention to the front of the house is needed. read more

Fantastic menu with great service staff. Take a moment and thank the chef when you go, they are extremely friendly and appreciative. I love trying new drinks and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and can recommend a good pairing with your meal of choice. Best restaurant in Martinez with no other place even close. read more

We have been to Roxx a few times now and just can't believe how great the food is. By far the best in Martinez and I would say one of the best in the east bay honestly. We just were there last weekend and people were dancing in the streets to live music! So much fun. If you make a reservation the table is yours the entire night and the outdoor music was from 7-9. We tried the polenta appetizer, my wife had salmon and I had the pork chop. Then we had a smore desert with home made graham crackers. Amazing food and great music. Book early, you def need a reservations. read more

Based on the ratings I would have expected the food to be amazing. It was ok. Not worth taking home what we didn't eat. I found the chicken sliders to be really salty, and the mac and cheese, while it looked delicious, was pretty bland. The focaccia bread you start with was delicious, so we had filled up enough that we weren't left hungry when we didn't eat our meals :) The staff is very friendly, live band out front is a nice touch. I do think there are much better places to eat nearby in Martinez though. Perhaps we just had the wrong dishes. read more

Super good food, downtown, walking distance to the Courthouse. The service by Darlene was attentive and helpful, very enthusiastic. I had the veggie burger with side salad. It was tasty, served on a yummy bun with fresh tomato, greens, and hummus. The side salad was so fresh it seemed like the ingredients were fresh from the farm this morning. House dressing was delicious, they should bottle & sell it. Coffee was made fresh and served with almond milk as requested. I'll be back anytime I'm in the area, highly recommend!
