Roxy's does a solid grilled cheese in multiple varieties. I got their hot honey bacon grilled cheese that was pretty good but I wish was more evenly covered with hot honey. Their truffle tots are fantastic. The store sits right above their arcade, which is reflected in the several claw machines and arcade games located upstairs. I assume they are taking only online orders to stop customers from coming in contact with many other customers. If you have questions they do allow you to come inside to ask but there is no one there to take the orders so you are asking grill members. Again this is because they are not taking in person orders, you either call in or order online. Some of the options online aren't always in stock so they may ask you for substitutions as well as some items not being on the online menu but being on the in person menu. The Green Muenster Grilled Cheese (Guac + Bacon) was good, as was the Hot Honey Bacon - but the Chicken Sandwich & Onion Rings are where it's really at. Hands-down this was probably the best grilled cheese I've ever had. I ordered the southern which I had pulled pork and Grillo's pickles on it and it was DELICIOUS! I think it was about $10 which is a little expensive but it really was good. Also got the chipotle mayo to dip in and that was so good too. My boyfriend and I absolutely love it here. The vegan grilled cheeses are DELICIOUS!! I usually get the Vegan Allston which is a grilled cheese (daiya cheddar) with fig jam, caramelized onions, and arugula. It's always so satisfying and yummy. I've also had the buffalo tofu melt in the past, but I find that one to be pretty variable in terms of taste. Sometimes it's great but other times it's incredibly vinegary or salty, making it nearly inedible, so I just steer clear of ordering that now. My boyfriend also loves the vegan grilled cheeses as well as the beef burgers! He says they're very tasty. We recently tried a vanilla milkshake from here as well--OMG! My friend and I split the Green Muenster and the Mighty Rib, truffle tots and truffle fries and we couldn't finish everything. I probably ate 3/4 of a sandwich and 1/2 of my French fries and was very full. The fries and tots have a strong truffle essence, which was way better than other places that have "truffle" dishes with barely a truffle taste at all. I ordered the Vegan Allston ($6.77), which comes with daiya, arugula, caramelized onions, and fig jam, while my partner got the Vegan Buffalo Tofu ($7.71) which had daiya, buffalo tofu, lettuce, tomato, and house made ranch. We also got a side of fries each, his plain and mine the handcut truffle fries ($3.97). The Vegan Allston was well prepared, and overall a solid vegan grilled cheese. I was excited about the fig jam, since I love savory/sweet combos, but unfortunately I thought that my sandwich had a bit too much and the fig flavor dominated the rest of the sandwich. In the future (and I will be back), I would order the jam on the side to dip the sandwich in. I also tried a bite of the Vegan Buffalo Tofu and it was tasty, despite me not normally being a fan of Buffalo sauce. Surprisingly, the real standout dish was the fries, which were so fresh, tender, and crispy. We devoured both portions and could have probably finished a third (and fourth). I had the Hot Honey Bacon Grilled Cheese (7.99) and the rosemary, truffle fries (3.99) for lunch and it filled me up. It was very tasty. The inside is small, but very colorful and decorative. You can sit at tables, bar tops facing the windows to the streets or outside. They also have corn hole boards for people to play when it's beautiful outside. I've definitely seen and heard of this place a lot just walking around in Boston and also spotted their food trucks a few times. I decided to try it out one Friday and got the regular classic sandwich with truffle tater tots. Overall, the taste and texture of everything was pretty good! The 3 cheese mixtures blended well together and the bread was toasted to a buttery perfection. The tater tots held up their structure and were seasoned well too. Only thing is I feel like this is something really basic that I can just make at home and I can justify paying $6 for something that's basically just toasted cheese and bread.
