I was running some errands in Sherwood and wanted a quick bite to eat. I noticed that Roxy's had opened and stopped by. They face HWY 99 side of the plaza, they have ample small but ample seating area. The stay were very friendly and super helpful in adjusting my dish to meet my dietary needs. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken combo with a side of Macaroni Salad and Kimchi. So good, the chicken has that very distinct taste, well marinated and a nice portion of protein. The kimchi was amazing, very fresh tasting with a comfortable spice level. The Macaroni salad was perfect and finished off my meal. If you're in the mood for Hawaiian food this is a great spot. read more

Great staff and everything is made fresh to order! I was worried about stepping in to food under heat lamps or in containers but it was all made fresh and tasted delicious. The Kalbi plate with mac salad is all I got but I'll definitely be going back to try more. The girlfriend and I loved the tenderness of the beef (especially the fatty parts) and loved how flavorful it was. Most definitely finger licking good! read more

Just like the Beaverton location but not as crowded. Love the Shoyu chicken as not many Hawaiian places have that option. Portions are large and I usually have some to go and make another meal. I like they let me do all rice as I don't like macaroni salad. Oh don't forget the Hawaiian Sun and many flavors. Also I like the outdoor seating with the view of the fake lake. Inside has fluorescent lights so not my favorite. read more

This place is usually pretty decent but tonight we got the worst service from the lady at the cash register. She was extremely rude to my father, who was simply being himself making friendly conversation She's an older lady with a grumpy face, poor attitude and treated us poorly. If I ever see her there again I just won't eat there. It's pretty disappointing from a place that I frequent. read more

Portions here are smaller than other locations! flavor watered down! Not enough seasoning! They got my order wrong and customer service lacking... I ordered the Kalbi rib plate and a side of Kalbi ribs, and another plate with half pineapple chicken and half garlic chicken and I got grilled chicken plate instead of my Kalbi ribs plate! And when I called to tell them there was a mistake there was no sympathy from the person on the phone... unacceptable! Especially as an islander! This is bad on all levels! Don't go here! Go to the other locations in Cedarhills and Beaverton! They are so much better in taste and customer service! I would rate this place a 0 star if I could! read more

This is a welcome addition to Sherwood, an alternative to the burgers and tacos that seem all to common here. Roxy's Island Grill offers the stereotypical "Hawaiian Grill" fare. They've got the usual line up, shoyu chicken, Kalua pork, teriyaki beef, it's all here, all served with white rice and the traditional bland macaroni salad. And it's all pretty typical and pretty good. Nothing stands out as especially good. The Spam Musubi is disappointing. Not much flavor. Avoid this one. Portions are large. It certainly is a good value. Everything is served in plastic clamshell containers with plastic utensils. It's an environmental disaster. This is surprising for a restaurant operating in Oregon. It's 100% serve-yourself here. You stand in line to order at the counter, get your own drink and utensils, find your own seat (hopefully not too dirty), and wait for your name to be called. Then, get your food and bring it to your table. When you're done, buss up after yourself (and try to leave it clean for the next person). But, still, in this zero-service situation, the point-of-sale system is going to suggest a 20% tip! What for? A tip is for service and there is none here. Preparing your food is part of the price you pay for the food. You don't tip for that. MAYBE, if they do some special order or substitution for you, maybe a small tip. But not 20%, not at a restaurant like this. The whole tipping thing is just out-or-hand. Overall, the place is "family friendly," but there is no kids menu. Still, kids will likely find something to eat. This place is in the strip mall anchored by Hobby Lobby, so parking is no problem. Access is easy, right off of 99W at Tualatin-Sherwood road. Food varies in quality. I've been to this location at least a dozen times. When they first opened the portions were great, service was amazing. And not even 3 months since opening you can't call into the store anymore (phone line is always dead), so I've been ordering online. Well today I ordered online, about 30 minutes prior to pickup time. It collected my money and told me when to arrive. I arrive about 5 minutes after the scheduled time, the two guys in front of me also ordered online. They received their food, I went up and said I also had an online order. The gal couldn't find my order in the cubby and she couldn't find it on the register. I showed her my emailed receipt to the Sherwood location and she then came up with an excuse that their systems were down. How does someone in front of me get their order but I can't? I said: "well I paid. Can I get my money back or can you make my food?" She rolled her eyes at me and went to speak with who I assume the store manager is. The store manager said to her: "just make his food. He showed you proof." Thankfully the manager knows how to actually think, it isn't rocket science. It's really too bad the Sherwood location doesn't have the great customer service as the other locations do. It's so close to home, but I always feel like they're trying to avoid customers at all costs... phone lines dead, online order lost, rolled eyes, bad attitude. I should also mention that every once in a while I'll get barely enough chicken in my plate to even consider it a meal, a snack perhaps is the best word. As the sign states, this isn't fast food so be patient while your food is served up with care instead of being slopped into a container at other fast casual restaurants. The staff at the Sherwood location has always been courteous. I have yet to find anything I don't like on their menu so I hesitate to make a specific recommendation. Enjoy! read more
