I called in an order for our office and asked if each item could be labeled with our names since we ordered multiple meals. The person on the phone, Omar, simply said "No." I asked again to make sure I heard correctly, and he bluntly repeated, "No." When I arrived to pick up the order, there was only one table occupied in the entire restaurant. Omar handed me the food without greeting me, only stating the total. I paid for the order, including a tip, and he immediately walked away without a thank you or any acknowledgment. My receipt was still sitting on the printer, and I had to interrupt him while he was talking with his friends just to get it. Again, there was no thank you or any customer service whatsoever. Back at the office, we discovered that the chicken curry we ordered was simply chicken with gravy. After checking the restaurant's website, we found that the chicken curry was sold out, yet no one informed us or gave us the option to choose something else. The food was also dry and disappointing. Amazing! Large portions, uniquely delicious flavors. I have been hunting for good Hawaiian food, or at least something like the local joint I grew up eating at. I'm so glad to have found Shoyu chicken the way I know it to taste! I have also really enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, and pineapple chicken. All are very good. Aloha Grill used to be awesome; Unfortunately my family has dined here twice for dinner in the last month and both times now the food was subpar and our orders were wrong. About a month ago we ordered several 2 meat combos with Kalua Pork only to not receive any Kalua Pork. We had to make a second trip back to the restaurant to get our order corrected. Last night we went back again. The staff was not friendly and when we tried to order we were told that you were out of chicken. Half the items on the menu are chicken and it was only 5pm. We ordered two Napali combos (Teri Beef and Kalua Pork) and one Chicken Katsu. The clerk had to look at the menu just see what the Napali combo was to make sure it didn't have chicken. Clearly he didn't know the menu. (Apparently Katsu is a different kind of chicken?) When our order finally came out the two Napali combos came out wrong. Again there was no Kalua Pork but instead replaced with Chicken Katsu?! Again the food didn't have its usual portions or flavor. Instead the plates were stuffed with rice as a filler. This place has gone uphill for sure. I was here last week and had to come back. LauLau was a highlight, with the burst of flavor in every bite. Let me start by saying I'm pregnant and I requested something off the menu - I didn't mean to be difficult but saw so many combos and got overwhelmed trying to decide .. so I asked if it was possible to get the spicy garlic chicken in a combo, and the guy at the register said anything could be made spicy. So then i asked what he recommended and he said he only ever eats the loco moco so i was like oo can i get them together? And he thinks for a moment, disappears into the kitchen, and explains the situation to the cook inside and Long story short i got my combo plate with loco moco (hamburger patty, fried egg, and gravy) and the spicy roasted garlic chicken as well. It was The Bomb. Holy moly. The spicy garlicky flavors went so well with the gravy and egg yolk and the burger was a hearty foundation. And the gravy is so good here. A dark brown sauce that just rounds out everything. It's in the 40's today, dreary and rainy and cold, and i'm just happy as a clam because i ate some good food that doesn't make me feel gross. (And as a pregnant lady that's really important to me ha) Highly recommend. I recently moved to Tualatin and I have to say this is my new favorite hotspot to eat. They are rated 4.2 on Google but I think they are five stars all the way through. I have never had one bad experience and I've already eaten here at least 15 times. I have tried many items off the menu, but my favorite thing is the pineapple teriyaki chicken. Amazing quality amazing service. The people are so friendly and everyone that works there is so nice. The atmosphere and the restaurant itself is very clean and organized and it makes you feel like you're in Hawaii. I literally take a vacation there several times a week just by going to this restaurant. I highly recommend it. read more

The guy at the counter is Philippine and clearly knows what he is selling and cares about it! Customer service is 5 stars. You do not have to be at El Gaucho to get terrific service. The dude was great! I would give them 5 stars if I did not like the macaroni, or whatever that was. The rest is great, and I really do strongly recommend you try this place. Love hearing Common Kings, Kalohe Kai, Anuhea, and rest of my Hawaiian family. It really sets the mood. I ordered the Aloha Kalbi Ribs platter that comes with mac salad and two scoops of rice. The Kalbi portions rival my favorite Waianae spot. The mac salad flavorful but the Kalbi was EPIC. The marinade is just like I remember. I have not been on island in a few years but this place took me back to Makaha and eating my favorite plate lunch. I miss my Auntie and seeing the rest of the clan but this was a nice respite. Love love love me some Hawaii food baby! While at the office I decided to treat myself to something I've been missing. I could never get chicken Katsu right at home. I got my usual luau pork chicken Katsu teriyaki chicken Mac salad of course white rice. The chicken kachu was good they use chicken thighs which makes for a better fried chicken experience.. They did not include any kaysu sauce though only teriyaki... The teryaki chicken was on point very good very perfect charred edges all of the good stuff you want from fire on meat. The luau pork was so good but it always good how can you go wrong.
