I'm a sucker for good Hawaiian food. Roxy's is dynamite. I'm not gonna lie, I drive the 45+ miles to the closest one to my pad. Please open in SALEM. Hawaiian Time is straight up garbage compared to you guys. Roxy's is always consistent. That's the main thing with me. If you are off, ever, I might not come back. Not the case with Roxy's. I keep coming back. The ribs are OUT OF THIS WORLD. I haven't had everything off the menu. I have tried quite a few things and every single thing is delicious. Their rice. Sticky. On point. I have been wanting to try Roxy's. Walked in one evening after work. Saw the two people behind the counter watch me walk in, therefore thought I would be greeted with a hello. Nope....the guy went to the kitchen area and the women barely even looked at me. I asked her if the menu was only "plate" style as I didn't have my glasses (I KNOW, BAD,BAD,BAD) She said "uh huh". So I ordered a plate and then did notice a family style toward the bottom and asked if I could change to that. She "pffffed" and said yes. Any hoo, not very pleasant. Other people were behind me and the next lady she was much more pleasant towards. The next two gentlemen she was OK and then a younger couple and it was like they were me. So she was back to her "pffed" attitude. Interesting, I thought. Food....they give you a lot. The pork was so salty that I couldn't eat it. The teriyaki chicken, OK. Rice is rice and the Mac salad was ok if you eat it right away. So all and all,rude help and food is OK. I'm OK with not returning. read more

Gross. Not impressed. Ordered Kalua pork, definitely cooked poorly. Tastes and smells like a really bad smokey ash tray and is super dry... and I know what good smoked food should taste like. I've had Roxy's before from other locations, which is usually pretty good. My husband and I love this place. He's Hawaiian and is very particular with his "local" food. The variety is great and the food always taste fresh no matter what time of the day we go. Staffing goes above and beyond to be personable and nice. We've been here on numerous occasions and we're just as satisfied as the last visit! My husband went tonight and it was the star on top of the tier. He went in 10 minutes prior to closing and they still put in amazing effort to make him fresh food, that never happens in these occasions. Great start to a new business in this town. read more

A family member came home with a hot to-go box full of delicious teriyaki chicken, hot scoops of moist rice, some dark sauce, and a generous scope of cold macaroni salad. What a great combination of food on a cold day. I was so excited at the idea of Roxy's Island Grill in Canby that I purchased to-go food from them throughout the week. Generally--their online ordering system works pretty well. You can pull in out front and easily get an order in, and they call you when it arrives. If you have a hard time with that, just walk in and order. They make all the food fresh, so you may wait ten or fifteen minutes, but it's well worth it. The tangy, creamy mac salad goes well with the spicy chicken, but you can go lighter on the spice if you ask them. They can also add heat, so it's all depending on what you like. Roxy's has developed quite a following, and I love the simplicity of their offerings --but very well done, and the prices are good, about $10 per meal box. I recommend. Nice staff too. read more

We decided to try Roxy's for the first time tonight. It's been years since I've had Hawaiian food, and was a little hesitant, but I was not disappointed. My daughter who recently visited Japan said the chicken katsu she ordered was just like being back in Japan. My husband's beef ribs were sweet and flavorful, I was almost jealous of his order. Went to the Canby Roxy's location last night and the young lady at the register (Selena?) I believe was her name, was very cheerful and helpful. Primus was the cook and he was just as cheerful and smiling. I had the Pineapple Chicken with rice and Hubby had the Short ribs with rice and Macaroni salad. Now we have been to the Milwaukie location a number of times and the last 2 times we were not as happy with their food or their service. Mind you, not all the service, just one in particular. Not seen him the first couple times we went in but he was there the last 2 times and he was kind of grumpy. Hubby said that this time the Short Ribs were better and seemed like there were more of them. My Pineapple Chicken had Pineapple over the top where at the Milwaukie shop they did not do that. I realize that the Canby location has been in business longer, but Milwaukie you need to step it up if you don't want everyone to make the drive to Canby over Milwaukie. Definitely will make the drive to Canby again from Gladstone. Well worth the friendliness. read more

I was very disappointed in the hamburger steak. The hamburger patties were hard to cut, broke my fork trying to cut it so used a knife and it was the same, very hard to cut. They didn't even taste like burgers, they looked and tasted like pressed meat. I drove 40 minutes to come here. I most definitely won't be coming back which makes me sad because I absolutely love Hawaiian food and this is the closest place to where we live. read more

I'm so happy to have tried this place because we needed a solid Hawaiian joint in this part of town. I'm in Oregon City, but would happily make the drive to Canby instead of having to head toward the city. Everything we've tried on the menu has been fresh and delicious, and the staff is polite and accommodating. I used to live in Hawaii, and I love Hawaiian food, but this is not good Hawaiian food. This is a cheap crappy mainland version. They were good for a couple months at first when they opened up at this location, but I think they must have changed cooks or started skimping on quality or something because it has been terrible the last 4-5 times I've been there. How do you ruin kahlua pig or Hawaiian mac salad? Come on man these are Hawaiian staples. They havent had the spam musubi's either the last couple times. I wish someone would open up a true Hawaiian restaurant around here to show these mainlanders what real Hawaiian food is like. read more

Food is usually really good. It's really frustrating that they don't allow call in take out orders or online orders. If you want to get take out you have to order and sit and wait 15mins for them to fix it. They would get so much more of my business if they just found a way to be more accommodating of take out orders. read more
