Brandon and Ella are a great team. Despite it being 1/2 hr before closing you could never tell. They were as welcoming as if you were in the South. We ordered our classic roast beef sandwiches well done as a manager once suggested to us years ago and they were delicious after a long double header baseball evening. Stay far away if you enjoy not hugging a toilet for 24hrs!! Not really sure I can even justify the defaulted 1 star for this place. What started as an optimistic try turned into a giant ball of disappointment. First and last time here. Drive thru at 3pm, just so you know we were the only car there, and still missed an entire order. It's not that they got the order wrong, it's that they just completely missed it. Not the end of the world, we'll share what they did give us. But that's probably our mistake- for the last 24hrs my wife and 2yr old son have had food poisoning and have been violently ill since eating here. It's been over 80 years since singing cowboy Roy Rogers and his trusty equine companion Trigger rode the range avenging evil and swooning the female cowpoke. So you have to ask... what in tarnation does he know about fast food? Apparently not much. Whether you treat yourself to a burger, roast beef or fried chicken you'd be well advised to smother your meal in whatever condiments you can find. Tasteless except for the requisite salt bath, Roy's sing-a-long menu is just as forgettable as his reign as a B-movie troubadour. Roy, just be glad you're dead. One star. read more

Roy Rogers roast beef meals are good, with nice sides including side salads, cole slaw and fresh fruit cups. Their fries are really good! I found their cheese burgers to be average, and they have good kids meals. Prices are a little high. Hot fudge sundaes are really good! read more

I said to myself after the last time I went to this place would be definitely be last time since they completely screwed up my order then...well gullible me, I gave them another shot tonight and after I got home I found once again my order was wrong, I should've stuck with my original plan to write them off. Without taking everything out of the boxes they put the chicken in to inspect each piece, you would think since the amount items in the bags were correct, the order would be also. Guess what? Nope! Paid extra for breasts and white meat, get all the way home with my families order, and not what I paid extra for! Shame on me for not pulling each and every item out on the counter before leaving after being screwed over the same way the last time. Funny thing (satire) is I asked "Jared" the kid that took my order twice about the breast meat! Low and behold, wrong order, but right on the receipt and charged extra for nothing! My family and I stopped by for lunch today and had an excellent experience! There was a nostalgic part for my wife and I, but the best part was the food. My roast beef sandwich was great, and everyone else loved their meal too. Seeing the roast beef sliced for each sandwich let me know my meal would be fresh. As an added plus Ann at the counter was extremely nice and friendly. The restaurant was also very neat and clean, and the Fixin's Bar was well stocked. After eating our lunch we went back to the counter and ordered sundaes. They were also great and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be going back - well worth the 30+ minute drive. read more

This is a rare find, a standalone Roy Rogers not on the Parkway or Turnpike. The food is always worth it, bringing people back to its' 1996 greatness. Chicken is crunchy yet moist, roast beef is always a tasty item to order; beans, apples, and fries are delicious and the breakfast is top notch for its' price. Staff is friendly. when roy rogers first came to town i was so excited because i remembered going there in my youth. the first two times i went though i wasn't pleased. it's been over a year and i can now say that they have really improved. i went for lunch on a friday. i ordered a 1/4 lb cheese burger and it was a little over $5.00. it was a very good burger - hot and juicy and the bun was buttered. the sandwiches all come without condiments because you can dress your burger at the "fixin's bar". included in the bar are tomatoes, onions, pickles, salsa, ketchup, mayo, etc. i didn't order fries but i saw some in another tray and they looked good. they also had edy's hard ice cream and they make shakes and sundaes. the sundaes were under $3.00! oh let's not forget the fried chicken i'm going to try them both next time. they aren't many roy rogers restaurants but if you find one give it a try. read more

The bad reviews seem to consist of people whining about crowds, extra charges on sauce, and the prices being more than McDonalds. Well DUH! During the summer this place is obviously going to be packed but I would put the prices to be about on par with Arby's if anyone is familiar. It's like a KFC but with the addition of burgers. I would have given it three stars for your average fast food joint but after reading the bad reviews I didn't want other people to get the wrong impression. The place is clean and service is courteous and efficient. Nothing negative to report on regarding the food. It's not really expensive either and this is coming from someone who doesn't eat out much anymore. You just have to be skillful in ordering from the menu and maybe not get a LARGE combo if you don't want to spend $$ when you could be eating at a fancier restaurant instead of a franchise. read more
