He told me that the reason that the engine was extremely loud was because it was a HEMI. That was a lie. The Dodge Charger comes with dual mufflers. The second set of mufflers was missing and this resulted in the louder than normal sound. In addition to this, I was informed that the reason that the tire pressure sensor was activated was that there were after market tires on the vehicle. This was also a lie. Les Schwab replaced a sensor and the warning signal went away. In each case, I did not ask the question 'Why?'. The salesperson (Adonis) volunteered the information. But for the fact that he lied to me I would have given this business a 5 star rating.

I made reasonable offers based on Kelley Blue Book values, mileage, and the year of the vehicles, and instead of having an actual conversation, Adonis responded with laughing emojis and attitude. Cohen was even worse, after declining my financing offer, he sent sarcastic messages like 'Missed out on a great deal' after changing the listing price. I understand negotiating is part of car sales, but acting immature and disrespectful toward potential customers is not how a dealership should operate. JD was the only one who didn't respond rudely. He just didn't respond at all. The Jeeps also seemed overpriced for the mileage and age, and any attempt to discuss pricing was met with ego instead of professionalism.

My BF did some convincing for a few months before I started looking into used car dealerships. That's when I found Matthew Motors! Never once did I feel the pressure from them the entire time I was there. They just gave us the key to the 4runner we saw online and all the time we needed with the car. We tested the car as best as we could before finalizing the paperwork. I still remember before signing the papers, I asked what happens if there's something wrong with the car as I noticed the car was sold "as is" on the paperwork. They said to just give them a call and talk to them "after all, they are not in the market to sell defective cars". Fair enough. That same day, I drove 4runner around and my worst nightmare came true. THE. HORN. DIDN'T. WORK. Of course, I tested every button in the car BUT the horn *facepalm*. I immediately called them then took the car back the next day so they can have a look at it. Long story short, I had to take it to Toyota to get it diagnosed since they couldn't figure out what was going on. Toyota charged us over $500 just to DIAGNOSE what was going on and when I got the car back, two panels were missing, the cruise control and none of the buttons on the steering wheel worked. They insisted the issue was the spiral cable needs to be replaced which also caused the horn to fail.....alright(*eye-roll*) I took the car back to Matthew's Motor, gave them the diagnosis that Toyota gave me, then Jacob and Levi got to work. Not only did they get the horn working again, but they were also able to get the buttons on my steering wheel plus the cruise control working again(which apparently Toyota didn't plug my car back). Jacob and Levi, if you're reading this, I just want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" PLUS, the entire time I left my car there, Brian was extremely responsive to text and kept me updated with the status of my car at all times. I will recommend this dealership to all my friends and family and anyone I ever talk to around the Seattle area who is looking for a used car. They are an honest business, will do everything to make things right even though they contractually didn't have to. To Jacob, Levi, and Brian: Thank you for not traumatizing my first experience buying a used vehicle.

The dealership is spotless, organized, and everyone we met was genuinely friendly, not the "I've had six coffees and a quota to hit" kind of friendly, but actual friendly. Our salesperson Sean was an absolute rockstar. His knowledge of the Kia EV9 is next-level, seriously, the guy could teach a master class on this thing. He explained every detail in plain English, answered every question without missing a beat, and somehow managed to make torque, charging rates, and drive modes sound exciting. Sean made the whole experience feel more like chatting cars with a buddy than sitting through a sales pitch. Jacob was also awesome, super helpful and made sure everything behind the scenes ran smooth as butter. Together, Sean and Jacob made a dream team. The whole dealership runs like a well-tuned engine, clean, professional, and welcoming. Even the coffee was good (and I'm picky about coffee). You can tell they actually care about their customers and take pride in what they do. If you're even thinking about checking out a Kia, especially the EV9, go see Sean and Jacob at Kia of Puyallup. You'll leave with a smile, a great car, and maybe even a new favorite dealership. The Kia EV9 is flat-out awesome, it's like driving the future but without the sci-fi soundtrack. The instant torque, smooth acceleration, and whisper-quiet ride make every trip feel effortless. No gas stations, no oil changes, just plug in and go. The tech inside is incredible too, from the massive screens to the ambient lighting and smart features that actually feel smart. After experiencing this level of comfort, power, and efficiency, I honestly can't imagine ever going back to a gas engine again. Once you go electric, everything else just feels... outdated.

This my reply to Austin Dinsmore:…read more Austin, thank you for your reply. You said "we're sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience with us here at Puyallup Mazda." That's the same word that my daughter used when she said to me "Dad, I'm sorry I referred you to Puyallup Mazda." I said the same word to my friend for referring him to Puyallup Mazda. You also said "That's not the level we aim to provide, and it's not how we do business. We take pride in our customer service and always strive to ensure every visit is a positive one." Those are very eloquent words but I do believe not everyone in your dealership adheres to those principles; one being your sales manager. If he followed your principles, I would not be writing to you and daughter and I would not have to regret referring my friend to your dealership. In my opinion those words remind me of the culture created by Harold Milam in the early 1960's at the present dealership. Harold had nearly 60 years of experience to forge his culture of hard work, truthfulness and ethical behavior. After all, he grew up on a tobacco farm so he was not a stranger to hard work. Mazdas were added to his dealership in 1974. My daughter's mother bought a brand new Mazda 323 5 speed manual in 1987 from Milam Mazda. I drove that " matchbox" looking sedan for years. My daughter rode in that car since she was 4 years old which instilled in her a love for Mazdas. She later bought a 2008 Mazda 3 and a 2018 Mazda 3. Her husband bought a 2012 Mazda 3. Please note that all these Mazdas were purchased from Milam Mazda on River Road. I believe Harold Milam understood what real customer service was because my family purchased 4 Mazdas. His hard work, ethics and dedication to his customers' needs transferred to his employees. Sadly, I cannot say the hard work ethic generated by Harold Milam was evident in my purchasing experience with your sales manager. I believe the non performance of your sales manager contributed to my daughter and myself saying that we were both sorry for my friend purchasing a car at Puyallup Mazda. My daughter texted me saying "It just isn't the same place anymore". I agree with her. I wonder how Harold Milam would feel about your sales manager's behavior. Would he be proud of how business is now being transacted at Puyallup Mazda? Would he consider it a "disappointing experience?" I am looking forward to your reply.

A whole new fuel system was to be put in. After weeks of saying it will get started next week and stating they only have 1 lift big enough to lift my truck (highly doubt as they have service contracts with large companies), it was finally started. During the process they broke a bolt off in the engine. They called me asking for another $2400 to pull the broken bolt as insurance was not covering something they broke. After telling them I would not pay for something they broke either we are in limbo and I still have not heard back. We are now past 4 months of them having my truck. I called other ford service centers to see what their policy is on breaking something while they work and all said they would have just fixed it and not charged the customer. I am at a point where I am just ready to have the truck loaded on a trailer and start the process over again with another dealer. As I said earlier I doubt I will buy another vehicle here. Beware if you need service completed here.
