Do not buy a vehicle from this dealer we bought a truck with low miles looked and seemed to run good drove it home the next day it overheated took it directly to the mechanic we were told it had been rigged to run fine for a few miles the engine was shot!! Austins said we could trade it out for another our mechanic said whats the odds of it happening again lol!!! Well we traded for another to avoid lawyer costs the trade was,even worse someone had rigged a lift kit that was dangerous our mechanic said he wouldn't drive it because of the danger and the top half of the engine shot!!!! 20.0000 plus and 12000 dollars in repairs later We,still need to get the front end fixed and the tire was plugged illegal as heck! I made reasonable offers based on Kelley Blue Book values, mileage, and the year of the vehicles, and instead of having an actual conversation, Adonis responded with laughing emojis and attitude. Cohen was even worse, after declining my financing offer, he sent sarcastic messages like 'Missed out on a great deal' after changing the listing price. I understand negotiating is part of car sales, but acting immature and disrespectful toward potential customers is not how a dealership should operate. JD was the only one who didn't respond rudely. 1 month before: emailed and received no response. 2 weeks before: emailed again and received no response. 1 week before: called and messaged and finally heard back. They said they had the car in stock and confirmed the time. 1 day before: asked one more time if they still had the car because I didn't want to drive 2 hours for nothing, they told me they still had the car. Day of: as soon as I arrived after 2 hours of driving they told me the ignition was broken and had been for two days. I received no email, message or call informing me of this Beforehand. They told me they had KNOWN about this issue for 2 days and when I messaged them the day before they said the still had the car and said nothing about this issue. I couldn't test drive the car or get in inspected and I lost a whole day that I could have been working. Thanks a lot. Do not go to this dealership. I reached out to the seller with a few questions, but his responses were rude and unprofessional. He even called me names that I won't repeat. In response, I told him he was acting like a clown and advised him to communicate more professionally in the future. If you're posting an item for sale, you should expect questions and respond courteously instead of being rude. Not a great first impression or customer experience. Bought a used Nissan Pathfinder on July 7, 2025 for our teen's first car. By July 9, it was shaking at freeway speeds and losing power. On July 11, it died in front of the lot and had to be pushed back in. We asked for a refund. The answer was no--we were offered a repair or a trade to another car. A repair attempt happened, but on July 17 the car failed again (smoke, leaking transmission fluid) in West Seattle, stranding my husband and daughter. The dealership did not provide transportation; the vehicle sat for days and was towed back July 22. When we met again, we heard dismissive remarks (e.g., variations of "eight thousand dollar cars break" and "you should have bought your kid a better car," to the best of our recollection). Not the tone you want to hear after two breakdowns in 10 days--on a car intended for a new teen driver. In my opinion, Austin's sold us a car unfit for normal use and then refused a reasonable refund after rapid, repeated failures. Also note: test drives in their immediate area don't allow highway speeds, which is where our defect appeared. We have receipts, texts, emails, photos/video, and a certified-mail demand (sent Aug 5, delivered Aug 6) to back this up. Documentation available upon request. read more

My partner coordinated his flight with MO and Mo even picked up my partner AT THE AIRPORT. The first impression was great. Very helpful. Found a car that was perfect and bought it. 2 days later the engine light came on. Jerry said bring it in and we'll take care of you. They got the light off. A couple days later it came back on he said bring it back again. He said we'll get it fixed and will call to let me know when to bring it in. 3 weeks later, after multiple calls, he told me that they were not a "shop". Said it would cost about 300.00 and that he would give that to me. Got my plates and the money the next day. It is now going to cost me $6000.00 to have both catalytic converters and the fuel pump replaced. I find it hard to believe they knew nothing. So much for 1st impressions. read more

My experience with Austin's Auto Sales of Edgewood WA was about a year and a half ago, but better late than never for this review. Don't waste your time with these clowns. I tested drove a car and it seemed fine. I wanted to take it in to my neighborhood shop for a pre-purchase inspection, so I arranged to pick it up as soon as they opened. It's about a 45 minute drive each way and I arrived a several minutes early, before opening time. I parked in the lot, turned my car off, texted them that I'd arrived, and started reading the news on my phone. At some point I opened the car door and my car started honking. I got out and put my key in the door to make it stop. I got back in, and a tall guy with long gray hair and a menacing expression left one of the buildings and started marching toward me. He started harrassing me--he seemed sure I was trying to steal a car. He didn't seem interested in the fact that I had the registration in the car that showed it was mine, and he seemed annoyed when I showed him the text thread on my phone with his coworker arranging that morning's pickup. Finally he went back to his building, after issuing warnings and threats. But then he CAME BACK and repeated his warnings and threats. Then he left again. Another employee arrived--this one sane--and issued me the key for the car. He also took the key for my car so they could move it if needed. I walked up to the car to find it had been significantly damaged since I'd driven it a few days before. There was a huge U-shaped scratch covering much of the hood, and a fold in the side edge of the hood had been dented down. It looked like something heavy had fallen on it. Maybe that weird guy, under the influence? So this repair would require a new hood and paint, likely around $2,000. The price of the car was unchanged. I'm not sure why I went ahead with the pre-purchase inspection; I guess I felt invested? But there was no way I was going to buy without the price dropping substantially for that hood, which was highly unlikely to happen. I was being unrealistic to myself about the likelihood of them dropping the price significantly for that hood damage. After the pre-purchase inspection, I came back, returned the car, and got the keys to mine. I found that an opened bags of chocolates was missing. Bought a Dodge 1500, and after having it for one week, noticed the exhaust manifold was leaking. Brought the vehicle back and because of the financing being reworked to a lower rate, decided NOT to pursue the vehicle any further. Asked for the $4k deposit back, after being deducted $576 ($60 per day + mileage) was due back $3424 and was told we would be getting it back within 2-3 business days. It's going on over 3 weeks now and still have not received the money. With multiple calls and inquiries on where the refund is at, we were told the same thing time and time again that it was "In the mail." No offer on asking us to come and collect nor priority mail sent. Very nice people, but very poor in handling refunding deposits or communicating. read more

Last month I bought a 2008 Chevy Suburban 2500 from here with the intent to pull my travel trailer that I was moving into. While I was treated well, within weeks of purchase the car started pouring gas and when taken to a shop it was found there was a giant HOLE in the exhaust that had been there for some time and eventually melted the fuel lines. I tried using the "warranty" bought from them but alas, it does not cover these parts. After taking nearly 2 weeks of back and forth saying they would help me, I was told today their mechanic does not have time for this. Meanwhile, I have been without a car for nearly 3 weeks as I have been going between the shop it was towed to and the dealership. My trailer needs moved soon and I have to once again pay someone else to move it (which I just had to do 3 weeks ago), which defeats the entire purpose of buying this vehicle to begin with. I will be reporting this to every agency possible because I was told this was incredibly dangerous and my car could have blown up! Aside from the major issue, there were multiple other things including bad brake pads on the car. While I understand that there is always a risk of buying a used car, these are issues that are dangerous and the car never should have been sold like this! Shame on Austin's Auto sales!!! read more

I purchased. 2007 Chevy Silverado 6.6 Duramax from them, had very low miles and I looked over it and found little needed for the truck as I thought, no engine lights no codes dash was clear it ran good for the test drive and was sound. Truck ended up blowing two up pipes and leaving me down without a vehicle for several weeks and a huge repair bill. I was told the truck has nothing wrong with it but mechanics found Trans leaks, Several Boost leaks and broken hardware under the exhaust systems and the check engine light came on a day after I left with it. Be aware of what you buy here! They will finance you out the door any way possible and do anything they can to make a grimy sale and clear codes for the mean time. Another dealership that is a prime example on why people don't trust car salesman. My mother witnessed her son be murdered she got a small amount of money for a vehicle and she wanted to purchase my brothers dream vehicle for herself (deceased brother) She made the purchase on April 29th a little under 17k cash. Mother's Day weekend she took a trip to Seattle The vehicle overheated and died and will not turn on. She had to then pay almost 400 to have it towed to her home. We contacted the dealership for a week by phone and got no answer or promises that the lot manager to call back. The first person I spoke to was Julian and he was so apologetic and sincere every person after that was cold, rude, and heartless. My brother went up to the dealership today since getting the run around was getting old. The only solution offered was for us to pay to figure out the problem and their one mechanic would fix it at his leisure and that they weren't legally responsible since when she test drove it "it was fine" and "there aren't lemon laws in Washington." I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my enemy. For them to take advantage of a mother in her most vulnerable state is absolutely disgusting. My mother is now left without a vehicle and to fork out more money. read more

If I could give this spot 0 stars, I would. My wife bought a "2016" golf gti Volkswagen. After she bought it, she tried to drive it home. 5 min into driving it home the car started overheating. We had to wait for the car to cool down. We got it home safely, but after stopping a couple times. I was frustrated since my wife is pregnant and she spent 16k on car that is unreliable. The next day She drove the car to get groceries and then the car overheated again. She tried to drive it back to the dealership until smoke came out the hood. My wife knows about cars, so she stopped driving it. She called the dealership and they drove her back to the dealership. The car remained on the freeway and they said they would tow it in the morning. The car got towed by a 3rd party. they claimed the person towing the vehicle broke the passenger window so that they could tow it .Now this is where it gets insane. At this point I'm frustrated for my wife and we are at the dealership, my wife says sternly, this car has so many problems. She explained how it couldn't make it home. The owner, a pretentious, little boy, says if the car has so many problems, why don't you take it yourselves to get it fixed? He asked, like the idiot that he is. He cussed us out while he said that, this is the pg version of that interaction. I would never recommend this "dealership" to any of my friends or family. Those 5 star reviews are paid for. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT buy a car from this business. They are unethical and WILL scam you. This business gets zero stars from me. (I gave them 1 because the system made me.) I had the VERY unfortunate experience of purchasing a used car from them. When I brought it to a mechanic at a separate dealership to trouble shoot a sound I had been hearing since I bought it, I was told by the mechanic that this vehicle should not have ever been sold and he deemed it "unsafe to drive". I called Austin's Auto to tell them this and told them that I needed to return the car. I was told that they would not refund me at all, but that they would "fix it" for me. I told them that I did not want them to fix it, but they refused to listen to me. Meanwhile, my bank asked for the dealership to give them a letter saying that they sold me a lemon. The owner called me at work and proceeded to yell at me about this and refused to take responsibility for selling me an unsafe vehicle. After yelling at me for awhile about the whole situation, he verbally agreed that I could get a different car from them. So I found a car I wanted and signed the purchase order for it. The day my bank was going to send them the money, I was told that they sold this car to someone else. This business has zero integrity and does not care if they sell you an unsafe car or not! I later learned that 3 of my tires had the wrong sized lug nuts (too big), so this ruined the rims. The mechanic was surprised that nothing bad had happened. After replacing all 4 bald tires and rims, replacing the stretched out brake line (which they didn't replace when they replaced the control arm), this vehicle is finally safe to drive. The car has rusted parts on it's underside, but I am stuck with it for now since the value of the car does not equal the amount of money I owe on it. DO NOT go here! Nobody there cares if you get hurt in a vehicle they sell you. I honestly cannot believe they are still in business. read more

Drove from Portland to purchase a vehicle. We requested that the vehicle be detailed multiple times to multiple people. When we arrived, the seat belts in the car was covered in fresh mold and the car was absolutely disgusting even though they ensured us the day prior that they had detailed it. After driving the vehicle for 8 days, the motor seized. Thank god we spent $3600 on an extended warranty or we would have to be paying to replace the entire motor at minimum right now. CLEARLY vehicles are NOT detailed OR MECHANICALLY INSPECTED prior to the sale. This was not the only vehicle that was super gross inside. read more

The epitome of a "Used Car Lot" I went here to look at a van they had. True to their "look around" all you want line, which I'm fine with, i checked out the van for a couple minutes before being approached by a young man in jeans and an ill-fitting t-shirt. After telling him I was here to check the van out, he went and got the keys. Coming back up to the van he went to unlock it and all we hear is "ZZZZZZZZZZ"; again he tries and "ZZZZZZZZZ". I take the key fob and "ZZZZZZZZ" the doors wouldn't even unlock, to which he says, "Hmm, doors don't unlock" and proceeds to unlock manually. The car started fine, but it was me asking all the questions. I have never dealt with a more lackadaisical and uninterested salesman in my life. I pointed out the headrest was missing and got an "oh yeah, it is" . I also asked if he had the jump seat, and said there was no jumpseat, and then he opened the compartment and it was empty, to which he exclaimed, "no, guess it doesn't" I asked him if I could drive it and he went and got the key, copied my license and said "see you in a bit". The van drove ok, but the navigation console said CODE across the front, this controls the radio and dvd, rendering all inoperable. There was clear water damage in the interior looking like it had come from the moon -roof. The inside had NOT been detailed at all, and the outside had mold growing in the lines and molding all over the van. It seemed like a quick clean flip for them. At this point it was obvious I wouldn't be buying this van, but decided to see what the salesman would say. he still hadn't told us his name mind you. I returned to the lot and parked the car; no one came out of the office. I went in and there were two other guys in the office playing on their cell phones who nodded when i passed looking for my guy. I found him in the end cubicle and he asked, "so, whaddaya think" i asked him if there would be any movement on the price and pointed out the obvious missing items and broken doorlocks, etc. He responded with, "Sure, you paying cash?" I told him it would be cash and he said after the tax-title-license fees it would be 9300$ He also said this model doesn't come with the removable center seat, which it does, and which THEIR OWN AD says it has. So for a 8000$ car, with an accident reported, broken locks and missing equipment, you want 10K? At this point i asked his name, which he said Serge. I told him i'd have to think it over, and he restated that if I was paying cash we could make a good deal. The COMPLETE lack of care, car knowledge and customer service I was shown reinforced the belief I have that 90% of used car salesmen are dishonest. From his dress to his speech to his lack of education of the vehicles on his own lot, i was left with a disdain for places like this. I would stay far, far away. I'm not glossing anything over, and it wasn't an "off day' judging from the past horrible reviews from other patrons on MULTIPLE sites. This place seems to have shown an ongoing disregard for the people, CUSTOMERS they claim to serve. Get it together people. These are families, peoples lives, peoples hard earned money.
