I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share this experience so the restaurant can improve and future customers know what to expect. We visited for a birthday lunch after seeing many advertisements promoting this restaurant as a destination for authentic biryanis. When we arrived during lunchtime, we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Looking back, that should have been a warning sign. Since we wanted fresh food, I specifically asked the person taking our order to recommend the freshest biryani available. He suggested the Chicken Dum Biryani along with a chicken appetizer. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The biryani was mostly plain white rice with chicken masala mixed in, and the chicken pieces looked like they had been prepared earlier and simply mixed into the rice rather than cooked together as a traditional dum biryani. More concerning was that the food did not taste fresh. It had the flavor and texture of leftovers that had been reheated. We ended up leaving nearly three-quarters of the biryani untouched. The chicken appetizer was overcooked, slightly burnt, and much too salty. We shared our feedback politely with the staff, paid our bill, and left. Since we were still hungry, we stopped at a nearby Indian grocery food court to finish our lunch. Another disappointment was that the restaurant's restroom was unavailable because it was "not working." Overall, we spent around $40-50 and left feeling disappointed. My biggest concern isn't whether a dish is perfectly authentic or the best tasting--it's that customers deserve fresh, properly prepared food. Freshness should never be compromised because it directly affects both the dining experience and customer health. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves. Until then, my advice to other customers is simple: if you walk into a large restaurant during lunch and you're the only customer, you may want to think twice before ordering. read more

Their menu is different than what they give. Shahi paneer is not supposed to be shredded photo shows paneer pieces and they gave me shredded paneer. This is wrong. When I called they just told me this is how they make. Very disappointed service. Never going back. read more

I went here with some friends and the food was amazing! The servers were extremely attentive and always made sure we were doing okay which I was very appreciative of. The restaurant was also quiet and had a pleasant atmosphere which made the experience quite enjoyable. The appetizers were excellent and the Biryani was truly exceptional! Sent an online order in about 10-15 minutes before I got there. It said a little longer than that to get my food no big deal. I ended up sitting in the front of the restaurant for another 45 minutes waiting to get my food along with another guy who was there before I was. There was 3-4 different guys working, no one seated and eating so no idea what the hold up was. The biriyani sadly was pretty mid tier but not the worst I've had. Love this place, its not the biggest when it comes to tables ans everything, but their outdoor seating opens them up more. The workers are kind and will edit your dish as tou desire. The food is delish! I've had the gobi manchurian, which is crispy and full of flavor with amazing balance of the sweet and savory of the indochinese sauce. I've also tried the goat curry, which is spectacular with its delectable tender goat and delish flavoring, it is a little sweet for me so i ask for extra spicy and they make that burn!! i also tried the chicken 65 biriyani which is super yummy! overall im not a big fan of the rice in the biriyani as i think it's a tad sweet? but the chicken 65 masala mixed into the rice makes it perfect! love this spot! read more

Smaller, watered down mango lassi; the palak paneer that only had 5 small cubes of paneer in a 16 oz container. Just disappointing. Love this place. Great food. Quick service for pick up. Anytime I get my order there are always orders being picked up or ready to be picked up. Never ate at the location but it looks well taken care of and clean. Prices are right. Portions are reasonable. Only wish is the spice was a little more consistent. One day 2 star is perfect heat. This is a small location with great service. The portions were generous enough for me to get a to do box. The eating utensils were made out of wood which was different but not a problem. We have been regularly ordering at this place everytime we crave indian food because their food is good however, today their food changed the taste and most of all the amount of meat in it. We ordered two buttered chicken and it BARELY had any meat in it, 5 SMALL CHICKEN CUBES in each tub! Thats a rip off what a disappointment! It was all just sauce! This was the first restaurant we ate at when we moved to Katy. With a comprehensive Indian menu with tons of biryani options, this place has definitely become a household staple for us. My only complaint is that recently they started charging $1 for bottled water and there's no other option which was a bit off for me. We came here because of the review... but it was the worst mistake ever. The food took over 45 mins to come and when it did it was just the butter chicken masala. The rice and garlic naan that we ordered with it didn't even come out. The butter chicken had a few pieces of chicken. There was nothing special about the butter chicken and it was all just sauce; might as well call it butter masala. We were at the hour mark and no lamb biryani, no rice, no garlic naan. Ordered a togo today 25-may-24, ordered Chicken Tandoori, kadai chicken, shahi paneer, paneer 65 biryani and gobi Manchurian. Every thing was bad, should have picked with other place. Chicken tandoori was so dry seemed like completely over cooked. Kadai chicken had foul smell, literally had to throw it. Shahi paneer was Ok, paneer 65 biryani was ok too. Work-in-progress restaurant. Went there on a Saturday night for dinner at the end of September'23. Still no liquor license. Still serving food off of plastic/recycled stuff for ease of disposal. Food was pretty good, but disappointing in some respects - a lot of bones in the goat, little or no vegetables in a vegetarian biryani order. Service is pretty bad but not rude. TV screens mostly frozen on one image or playing Bollywood stuff. My recommendation - give it try for take-out only. This seems to be most of their business anyway. Delicious food. Best malai kofta I've had in the Houston area. They will make according to your level of heat (spicy) tolerance. Just one suggestion: give a little more attention to your customers.
