Chicken Curry

I went here for the first time as a night out with friends and the service was awful. We got sat and then it took 15 minutes for someone to come take out orders, then another 40 before I even got my food. The service took so long I had to take my food to go. I ordered the chicken curry and rice, and the curry was absolutely awful. Despite having full chicken inside of it, there were also loose bones that I kept having to pick out. I also didn't get my rice that I ordered, and instead I was given something else entirely. Update: This food gave me food poisoning. I don't know what they put in my curry, but I'm never coming back here.

Even the white rice was bad. How??

Wow the food here is...not good. I only came here because my go to Indian places were closed and I regret it. There is no balance of flavors in their food. Just bland, but spicy and in some cases too salty. I never waste food but I threw out everything I ordered and ended up eating a frozen pizza. Their food is that gross. The minute I opened the biryani bowl, it smelled like Shan biryani masala I use when I'm not inclined to make biryani from scratch. Unfortunately they must have used less of the masala than I use bc the rice was severely lacking in flavor. And every other dish was similarly disappointing. Even the raita and plain white rice tasted weird. I knew I should have just waited until my favorite Indian place opened. I'm beyond annoyed I spent my money at Hot Bits. This was some of the worst Indian food I have ever eaten and I'm wasting food and money because the thought of eating any more of it is nauseating. Nice decor in the restaurant though. I do not recommend and I will not be back.

Mixed Grill Paneer Butter Masala Garlic Naan

It was the first time trying this place. My wife and I were looking for a good Indian restaurant since we just moved to Katy, Tx. We tried the mix grill, butter paneer masala, Po tote samosa and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the ambiance. My favorite was the tandoori chicken in the mixed grill. Chicken was moist and the grill charred bits were delicious.

This is a small Indian spot in south Katy that we love. The owner is usually always there and takes great care of us. In fact, he even knows what/how we're going to order as soon as we come in. The food is always delicious, but sometimes inconsistent with spice. We don't mind spicy food, but sometimes is much spicer than we expect. Try the Chili Chicken, the Cheese Nan, and the Butter Nan. You're welcome!

Chicken Curry

Tried their chicken biryani and chicken curry for a quick dinner fix. Biryani was good with nice fluffy rice. Amount was good, enough for 2 light eaters. Ratio of rice to chicken was balanced. Not the best biryani in the area but decent option if you are in the neighborhood. Chicken curry was simple, it came with plain jira rice. When I opened it, it was not appetizing at all. Gravy was kind of lumpy and meat pieces were not tender. Not really a dish I'd try again. Place was nice and clean. My order was ready within the said 20-25 mins. Staff member was wearing mask. I may return to try out other dishes. I'll update my review if there is any changes.

I don't remember which one this is, but its chicken, and it's DAMN GOOD

Can't say enough good things about this spot. Meaty dishes, full of flavor, and such nice welcoming people. Masada, Chicken appetizer, cauliflower, more chicken, Naan, I love all the food I've gotten from here! ORDER IT NOW DAMMIT!

Tandoori Chicken

Amazing Indian food. The smells inside are intoxicating. The food is beyond amazing. The breads were beyond what I could have imagined. The lamb korma sauce was perfectly blended and made a wonderful "dip" for all the breads. The tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly. It was still moist and perfectly flavored. I can't wait to come back and try more off the menu!

He said the family is very, very nice and the food and atmosphere is wonderful. So we decided to take the trek to Richmond to see what our friend was talking about. He was absolutely 100% right; we were warmly greeted by Tehmina and when we told her it was our first time visiting and first time even trying Pakistani food, she was so happy and excited to share what they had to offer. Everything looked so good and the prices were shockingly fair - so we decided to have her help us decide and she offered two chicken dishes and two beef. Each were splendid and amazingly delicious and prepared with love. I placed my order in advance for a set delivery time. Prices are very reasonable as well. When I came in to pickup my order 25 mins late, my drinks were sitting in the refrigerator waiting. My food was still warm. The cashier was in a call and asked me to wait a few minutes. He promptly gathered my order and I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. I love their pizzas, ordered hand toss Mexican street corn and the paneer tikka. Both were so darn good! Here are the other items I would recommend: mango lassi, Dahi Bhalle, Mirchi Pakoda (chewy tapioca texture), Bombay Vada Pao, and samosas. Prices are very reasonable for my standard. I spent $130 and it was enough to feed 6 people. I can't wait to try their other food! Everything looks and smells so delicious!

It was fine for me, though I had no issue. The girlfriend on the other hand thought it was super good too, yet too spicy! The place actually makes these Indian style pizzas too. However, in this case, I think I'm going to make an exception. lol! Yep one of these days I'm going to order a chicken tikka pizza. It's good! In health and happiness! Cheers! Danny

We visited for a birthday lunch after seeing many advertisements promoting this restaurant as a destination for authentic biryanis. When we arrived during lunchtime, we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Looking back, that should have been a warning sign. Since we wanted fresh food, I specifically asked the person taking our order to recommend the freshest biryani available. He suggested the Chicken Dum Biryani along with a chicken appetizer. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The biryani was mostly plain white rice with chicken masala mixed in, and the chicken pieces looked like they had been prepared earlier and simply mixed into the rice rather than cooked together as a traditional dum biryani. More concerning was that the food did not taste fresh. It had the flavor and texture of leftovers that had been reheated. We ended up leaving nearly three-quarters of the biryani untouched. The chicken appetizer was overcooked, slightly burnt, and much too salty. We shared our feedback politely with the staff, paid our bill, and left. Since we were still hungry, we stopped at a nearby Indian grocery food court to finish our lunch. Another disappointment was that the restaurant's restroom was unavailable because it was "not working." Overall, we spent around $40-50 and left feeling disappointed. My biggest concern isn't whether a dish is perfectly authentic or the best tasting--it's that customers deserve fresh, properly prepared food. Freshness should never be compromised because it directly affects both the dining experience and customer health. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves. Until then, my advice to other customers is simple: if you walk into a large restaurant during lunch and you're the only customer, you may want to think twice before ordering.

Kurry Walah -- Mother's Day Uber Eats Review…read more For Mother's Day, I decided to try the Uber Eats route and create an Indian buffet at home so we could relax by the pool. I'll say that was what my wife wanted, but truthfully, I wanted to hit the buffet myself. That said, the food was flavorful overall, and the cuts of meat were better than I expected for delivery. We definitely over-ordered and tried a little bit of everything, so there will be a ton of leftovers. The butter chicken was my biggest disappointment. I ordered it extra hot, but it came out about as spicy as the medium items we ordered. The chicken biryani was a little salty, but not inedible. Honestly, I would rather it be slightly over-seasoned than under-seasoned. My wife loved her food. My daughter was not as impressed and felt her meal was average. I was somewhere in the middle. The one pricing miss for me was the side of white rice. At over $4, that feels like highway robbery for a basic side of rice. To be fair, I only ordered it because I wasn't sure what came with rice and wanted to have extra in case someone needed some. Everything else felt pretty much in line with market pricing, especially given the portion sizes and the quality of the meat. My score: 3.5/5 My wife's score: 4/5 My daughter's score: 2.9/5 Overall, call it a solid 3.5 to 4, depending on what you order. Good flavor, generous portions, and plenty of leftovers.
