I have been using Royal Buick for about 13 years as I'm a big Buick/GMC guy. I got off work and got to Royal Buick at 1515 I needed a oil change. It took them almost 10 minutes to tell me they could not get me in However Watson Chevrolet got me right in. It's hard to be loyal to a place when they can't squeeze you in for something as quick as a oil change. Whatever there reason I'm not ready to give up on them yet. Dont buy from this dealership or there so called warranty forever. Sold me a nice lemon which in 4 month the transmission gave out and paid out of pocket 6k to repair. so bought Suburban used certified with the warranty as the dealer pitched the warranty forever which was the reason I bought the SUV in the first place, as i have had vehicles in the past break down Needing major repair. There here after 4 months it started having transmission issues to the point it could not be driven. When i called to the warranty place to file a claim they told me my warranty i just purchased was no longer valid Because I was not servicing the SUV properly, an when i asked its only been 4 months an stated all that needed to be done was an oil change. the representative then proceeded to tell me because i had it serviced not at Royal the warranty was no longer valid. The dealer didn't tell me when i purchased the warranty that all maintenance was required to be performed by Royal even the oil changes. Now this wouldnt be an issue but i live in another state where i can just drive down for a oil change to a different state. They known I lived out of state and told them many times before I even stated the process and they reassured me that i could do all the maintenance offsite as long as i keep the paper work which I had done for the one oil change at a different dealership GMC and they performed the oil change. i tried calling the dealership and the warranty company. One the warranty company stated since I got the oil changed they would not cover my cost, and when i try to get dealership to help they plain out said i would have to cover the cost of the transmission repair out of pocket as they are not affiliated with the third party warranty company and if my warranty was canceled there is nothing they can do. So i had to take it to a dealership where i live at it cost me over 6k to replace they entire transmission as the current was completely unrepairable. never going to buy from this dealership again. read more

Our 2011 Buick Regal has 108,000 miles and has been well taken care of with updates and oil checks. A multitude of dash lights started appearing in April, 2023. We made a diagnostic appointment at Royal Buick in Tucson and were told that both the auto stabilitrak system and the airbag release mechanism on the front passenger seat needed repair. After 4 days in the shop, Mr. Germaine Kendrick, our GMC Service Advisor, summarized the problem and stated that 1) a new seatbelt assembly is needed and 2) the service technician states that they cannot replicate or repair the stabilitrak problems. Mr. Kendrick texted me that the seatbelt "parts are on backorder", and the Assistant Parts Manager will check for "sourcing the part". I phoned Mr. Kendrick on June 5, 2023, to follow up on the necessary seatbelt part. I spoke with a service person named Chris. Chris reported that the new seatbelt assembly had not been ordered. I made another diagnostic service appointment, and the next available appointment was on June 20th, 2023. On June 26, 2023, Mr. Germaine Kendrick told my husband and I that the Buick Regal 2011 needed parts for the airbag and the Electronic Brake System (EBCI) module. The new seatbelt assembly had not arrived (since April?). Mr. Kendrick, in front of the cashiers, myself and my husband, explained that the EBCI module is also necessary to coordinate the braking system of the car. On August 3, 2023, we received an email and a phone call. The communications stated that the part had arrived. Yay! We could not get scheduled for 2 weeks. On August 15, we dropped off our vehicle at 7 am. I asked for a new service advisor. Mr. Justin Smith allowed me to work with Alexandra Rigaud. I received an update that the airbag system had been fixed on August 16th, 2023. We borrowed a car to go pick up our Buick. We arrived and went to the Cashier desk to obtain our keys. The charge was $300 now, airbags fixed, and no work had been done on the brakes! We complained about the process, the lies, and the lack of care. Mr. Smith and Ms. Rigaud then ordered continued assessment and repair of the Stabilitrak system by first installing a steering angle sensor. Ms. Rigaud stated in a Voice Message that we could not get charged for this repair. Once that repair was completed, the EBCI module was ordered (again?). On August 18th, Ms. Rigaud called to say that the EBCI module would be in on August 19th, 2023. I borrowed a vehicle and went to Royal Buick on August 22, 2023. Ms. Rigaud said the module had not arrived and she did not know when the part would be available. The Buick was finally finished and repaired on August 24th after being in the shop for 6 days. In summary, my husband and I are very grateful to Mr. Justin Smith and Ms. Alexandra Rigaud for the fee waiver and for most of all, listening to us and pursuing the problems and repairs. We received a thorough invoice and explanation of the repairs. Unfortunately, complimentary service does not include any warranties or guarantees of parts or services. We imagine that is just asking for too much. Our vehicle is now working, no dash lights, no intermittent self-braking and we have Mr. Smith and Ms. Rigaud to thank for this success. read more

Pros and cons to my vehicle buying experience. Pros: -I was able to return my 1st purchase after 24hrs after realizing I needed a bigger vehicle. No hassle. -Sales person was knowledgeable and offered many resources to help guide the decision. -flexible when it came to us having to bring in our down payment. Cons: -Aggressive sales tactics to purchase axulary warranties and protections. Scratch and dent, tire and so on. -Sales Manager was "cockey", often made remarks that degraded our opinions. -2nd vehicle was not sales ready. Vehicle was not inspected, cleaned or detailed. Vehicle 2 had quarter tank of gas when we left. Had to return the next day to have dealer service and clean the vehicle. Overall our experience had its moments. We take the good with the bad. We are truly grateful for being able to return our initial purchase. Our 2nd vehicle is much more comfortable though we wish we didn't have to go through the trouble that surrounded it. The end of service with Royal. We received such poor service and response to their breaking our dash and air vent that we have stopped using them for service. We brought our truck in for an airbag recall for the passenger side. After nearly 4 hours for an appointment recall, I receive my truck back with what was a small design crack by the airbag panel now fully cracked across. Additionally, my passenger side air vent was cracked down the side with a missing piece, most likely as they used that spot to pry open the airbag panel. Truck returned with an apology by the service person with the assurance that the vent would be ordered and put in at a later date. Called a week later to check on status of vent as the only thing we can get repaired only to be told, no part on order. Connected me to service mgr.and left a message. No return call or email. Left 3 more messages over 2 months with full contact info, with no remediation. What a shame after several years of great service with our vehicles for maintenance, repair and recall updates. read more

I purchased my car here and I've always had my car serviced here even though sometimes I felt like I was being "mansplained" to. I figured as long as my car was being taken care of, I would deal with that. A couple of weeks ago my car broke down and I had to have it towed to Royal. The mechanic called me and told me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. I agreed, paid the money and drove home. Three days later my car broke down again with the exact same light on the dash. I again had it towed. This time the mechanic called me and said he was skeptical the first time he diagnosed it and he then quoted me double what I paid the first time. I told him to fix it then called a manager to let him know I didn't think it was fair for me to have to pay that amount. He investigated, called me back, did a bit more mansplaining but agreed to discount the repair. I paid for the repair, and drove my car away. I noticed that all the AC settings were set to auto which has never happened before but I didn't think too much of it. The next day was hot and I tried to use the air conditioning and it doesn't work. I have never had a problem with it before. I am not going to call Royal again because I don't think they will take any responsibility for this. I will have to find a new mechanic to diagnose this. To add insult to injury, they left a flyer on my passenger seat offering me "great deals" on a new vehicle. Ironically I am planning to purchase a new vehicle this year but I won't buy from Royal Buick again. read more

I highly recommend this chain of Royal. I recently participated in a lease pull ahead in order to get into a newer car for our growing family. As the son of a GM employee, I've been around dealerships my whole life and have seen the good and the bad. Unfortunately, multiple GM dealerships in Tucson have been horrible from past experience. I hadn't tried Royal Buick-GMC-Cadillac yet, so I decided to give them a shot. I inquired VIA email and received almost an immediate response from Roy, one of their salesmen. I told my story to Roy and made it clear I wanted to come feel the dealership out before I purchased a new lease. He answered every question, was available when I needed and kept in touch over multiple months until the time was right. Horrible Customer service. I bought a brand new car and needed a repair that was covered under warranty. Service department was unprofessional and had absolutely no follow through. Picked up my car and had to turn right around and take it back again. Called manager and still no response from him. I bought my car in Phoenix and the dealership there was so much better. I used to drive a Ford and local Ford dealership is 100 times better in regards to customer satisfaction. Since I posted this review I have received a call from one of the managers (Quentin) who listened to me without interrupting (not everyone does that) and apologized for what I described as horrible service. He understood my side of the story and I felt that he would take my feedback back to the service department and hopefully make some changes to better serve their customers. When I picked up my car it was dirtier than when I left it with them. I would think that for a $2000 repair they could've run the car through the car wash before giving it back to me. Many years ago, out of the blue, and the kindness of his heart, my dad bought my husband and I a brand new car. My uncle and I went with my dad to the dealership. A few hours later, the 3 of us walked out with the keys to my new car! My dad was a professor and his brother, a PHD. I had an appointment at 730am. Usually there are people in the Service Area to help you. I drove up and no one helped me for 5 minutes. I drove around and went into the main entrance and was directed to the cashier who came out into the Service area to help me. I finally got in touch with the guy that was to handle my appointment. He said "Well it will be awhile" and he gave me no time limit. Usually they give you an update on your vehicle. I am still sitting here after FIVE hours and nothing has been told to me. We bought a new GMC Terrain from Royal GMC back in 2018. Royal has serviced it exclusively. We thought we bought a lemon because our car has been towed back to the dealer four times in four years. It got to the point we were afraid to drive our car out of town. Within the last year twice the car was towed back to the dealer for the same issue. It gave a lurch, the service engine light came on, also the "reduced engine power" warning came on. After "fixing it" twice on this third incident with the same problem we decided to take it to our previous mechanic who kept our old GMC Jimmy on the road for almost 200,000 miles. This is a locally owned auto repair shop known for it's quality work. What they found was "substandard auto repairs" on our car. The fuel pump that Royal replaced just a month ago was improperly installed. "The pigtail should have been soldered and crimped" instead it was "butt joined". Also both fuel lines were improperly installed. The fuel pump that Royal GMC replaced just a month ago was dead. So we parted with $1400 to have the car repairs done correctly. Our car is under extended warranty by GMC but because the last repair was so recent they refused to cover this repair. They had no problem with the certification of the mechanics at the new repair shop but they felt that Royal should be responsible for fixing their own mess. We disagreed and paid the $1400 repair bill ourselves. A fuel pump should last longer than 30 days and it probably would if it had been installed correctly. My point in telling our story is to warn others. We trusted our dealer to do honest and quality work and our trust was misplaced. Thankfully our extended warranty allows for outside repair shops as long as the mechanics have the proper certifications which they do. We've lost trust in Royal and have returned to our original repair shop. read more

I had a 2019 Yukon, which I bought from another dealer and then sold less than a year later because it was having too many issues. Every time I brought it in to Royal's service I was always taken well care of. My service rep no longer works here, his name was Eric, but he was always super helpful and kind. After selling the '19 I kept eyeing the new Yukon's and tried to get one from salesman Roy for several months. I held off because I was hoping some rebates would come out towards the end of the year but due to the shortage of vehicles I didn't see it happening so I finally agreed to get one at MSRP. Roy was helpful in finding us one with all the features we wanted even though it wasn't our primary color choice. We love it! We also love that they have a the "Warranty Forever" program. I had one issue where I couldn't figure out how to get the rear entertainment system to work and they got me into service right away even though I didn't have an appointment. It was a really silly issue that got resolved right away but I was thankful that they were ready and willing to fix it rather than turning me away and asking me to make an appointment. I took my 2020 GMC AT4 to this dealership on May 3 for a couple of warranty items. One was a whistling or chirping sound that comes from the motor. It happens every time the vehicle is started and sporadically when it is being driven. The noise is very annoying and sounds like a fan belt slipping but at a higher pitch. My service person is Jay. After a couple of days Jay says that the noise is coming from the GM installed cold air intake. Since the vehicle is still under the bumper-to-bumper and the drivetrain warranty, I request that the intake be either replaced or repaired so that the noise goes away. They acknowledge that the noise is there but refuse to fix it because a new GM intake "will eventually make the same noise." Jay gives me the number to GM Customer Service. The Customer Service person spends a couple of weeks telling me they will fix the intake problem as soon as she can contact the service person. After pushing a little harder following two weeks of no results, she basically parroted the works of Jay the service person. After another week or so she said her supervisor would call. Still have not heard back after about 5 weeks. Called Customer Service again on June 5 and they assigned me a new case. Was supposed to hear back on June 7 but I didn't. I called again June 8 and left a message. Heard nothing. Called on June 9 and notes on the new case say she called and left message on June 8. She didn't. Left another message June 9. Still waiting for a call. I emailed Todd who responded below without leaving a phone number. He emailed back also without a phone number and said someone would contact me on June 12. I was pleasantly surprised not only with the above par level of care and service at Royal Buick but the wonderful help received by Patty Loster. Patty did not approach with an overbearing sales pitch but rather with genuine courtesy and and offer to help or answer questions if needed. By the time of my final purchase signing, I felt the process to be smooth and effortless. Patty helped my understand the car and all its many computer components and made herself available to me in the future if I should need a refresher course as well. I bought a VERY expensive 2021 Yukon AT4 and you would think that given how new it is and how expensive it is that you would receive de ent service period.... NOPE! It's been crap service since the first time I brought the vehicle in. You would also think that they would at least wash the vehicle for you after they work on it especially being there for days to weeks on end repairing an issue that shouldn't even be an issue this early I to the vehicles life but NOPE! I washed and detailed the vehicle before I took it in for a third time and just look at how they left it, full of oily finger prints, layers of dust!!! White crap on the interior, I mean I guess it takes a doctorates degree to do a simple wipe down or know what customer service really is. But again.... Nope... garbage service and the quality of care is absent and disgusting !!!! Regretted buying from this dealership because this is how they treat their customers! read more

I do think this is as good as it gets. Perhaps not perfect, perhaps not totally transparent, but overall a darn good deal. I would have used the other word, but you know the deal. Ahmed was our sales person and you couldn't ask for a better one.
