Our first booked airport transfer driver and the vehicle was great! Fr Home to ORD. Mist recent drip off to MKE, the driver dropped us off at arrival vs departure and Delta vs Southwest. The sedan also smelt like cigarettes! Our return transport was late due to previous customer's flight delay but that was ok. Absolutely do not use for your wedding Posting this on both Google and Yelp due to the huge disparity in their ratings across both platforms. Hired for my wedding (June 6, 2026) for three distinct buses/rides. Each trip had a significant failure: - I Paid upcharge for a trolley - a party bus showed up instead, no notice given and no refund offered. The driver tried to cut short our contracted photo stop at wedding photos and leave us there. As the bride, I had to argue to be taken to my own wedding. - Family shuttle was 30+ minutes late and/or driver parked across the street and never called my planner, as discussed. My planner had to track them down through a centralized phone number. Our photos had to be moved from before the wedding to during cocktail hour and we had guests arriving for the ceremony before my family even arrived almost 45 minutes late. - Final round trip shuttle contracted 9:30-11:30pm bus never returned to do a final pick up at the end of the wedding at 11pm. He left at 10:50pm and never returned. Bride, groom, and guests were stranded and had to Uber home. Trust me that I was incredibly clear with Royal Carriage about the time sensitive nature of the request as my one and only wedding day and made all of these items above clear, in writing, with them as we were working through the details of the contract. I have been seeking a restitution since June 8th. They made an inadequate partial offer and have not responded to my follow-up sent via email on June 23rd. I am awaiting their response as of today, July 2, and am open to continuing to work through this. This is not only an issue in the quality of their product delivered, but also in their customer service. I would not recommend this company at all. read more

WARNING: DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY!! If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I made a booking with this company, fully paid and confirmed, and on the day of the appointment, they simply never showed up. No call, no message, no explanation -- they just left me hanging after I had planned everything around this booking. To make matters worse, when I reached out afterward, instead of taking responsibility or offering a quick resolution, they have been holding onto my money ever since. Every time I contact them, I get the same runaround: "please wait for your refund." It's now been two weeks with no actual refund, no real updates, and no accountability whatsoever. This isn't just bad service -- it's completely unprofessional and borderline unacceptable for a business that takes people's money. If they can't even show up for a booking they confirmed, and can't process a simple refund in a reasonable amount of time, I have zero confidence in their ability to operate honestly. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. There are plenty of other companies out there that actually respect their customers and follow through on what they promise. This one is a joke, and I would strongly urge anyone considering booking with them to look elsewhere. Two weeks and counting -- still no refund. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after hiring Royal Carriage for transportation during a four-day conference, I feel obligated to share our experience. The biggest issue was that the company never updated our schedule after we sent a revised itinerary on May 13, despite confirming via email that the changes had been made. Nearly every problem that followed stemmed from this failure. On Wednesday, our second vehicle arrived 30 minutes late, and instead of the mini coach we had contracted, a party bus showed up. Even more concerning, the driver attempted to give our attendees beer and made many of them uncomfortable with his behavior. I also received multiple complaints about unsafe driving. On Thursday, we paid for a motorcoach, but a mini coach arrived instead. Because there wasn't adequate transportation for everyone, our conference attendees were forced to either carpool in severe weather or miss the event entirely. On Friday, Royal Carriage was unable to provide a driver at the correct time because they were operating from the wrong schedule. We ultimately had to cancel the service altogether. On Saturday, the driver was scheduled to leave at 3:00 PM instead of the contracted 4:00 PM, leaving our guests to figure out their own transportation back from an activity. As the host organization, these failures reflected poorly on us, even though they were completely outside of our control. Our attendees expected professional, reliable transportation, and instead experienced delays, incorrect vehicles, inappropriate driver behavior, and repeated logistical issues. I have coordinated transportation for many conferences and events over the years, and this was by far the worst transportation service I have experienced. I cannot recommend Royal Carriage to organizations that rely on dependable service and accurate scheduling. read more

DO NOT USE!! I booked a sprinter van in Feb. 2026 to take my family of 8 to the airport and pick up on return. Ride there was good. Pick up on return was a nightmare. Time was confirmed but no one showed up! We were left stranded at the airport. We had small children, everyone is tired from the trip, and no one at this company cared. I called the driver listed and he had no clue. He gave me the number of a different driver, who when I called said he didn't know anything about it. I called dispatch multiple times and the person who finally answered, sounded like they were at a party. They told me my sprinter van driver wasn't answering his phone because it was prayer time!! Dispatch said they would try and find a car and they would call me back in 15-20 minutes. I've already been stranded at the airport for an hour and they are confused,non-apologetic and now ask me to wait 20 more minutes to find my family a ride home. We all had luggage, since we were returning from my daughter's wedding. Finally they call back and say they are sending an SUV. An SUV only holds 6 people! I had to explain again that we have 8 people plus luggage. Again I'm told to wait. I get a call saying they will send another SUV, like they are doing me a big favor. I explained to them that I paid extra for a van. I wrote them an email a few days after we returned, explaining again all the phone calls, waiting for over an hour and not getting the vehicle I paid for. They did not respond of course. The driver of the SUV I was in, said he had been called 20 minutes prior and didn't even work for Royal Carriage. He drove very nicely. I would NEVER book with Royal Carriage again. I'm not sure where they are getting the great Google reviews from, but don't believe them. Very unprofessional company. read more

If we could give this company ZERO stars, we would. Avoid using this car company at all costs. We booked a sprinter van to pick our group of 9 up for a reservation in Chicago scheduled months in advance for a special event. Not only did we confirm our ride over the phone with a customer service representative two days prior, but also received a confirmation text an hour prior to our pick up time that our ride was on its way. After our ride did not show for 10 minutes after the scheduled time, we called the appointed driver number who stated "they had been assigned to a different ride" and they would call us back with updated information. We heard nothing back for 10-15 more minutes. At this point we already would be late for our reservation in the city. We called dispatch. Not only could they not give a direct answer as to what was going on, but they were INCREDIBLY unapologetic and rude. Finally, after 30 minutes of calling them several times, they stated the driver "had a flat tire" and a new ride would there to pick us up in 40 minutes. What a joke. We missed our reservation, which could not be rescheduled in the city. In addition, we lost the deposit we put down for it. The company said they would "talk with their accounting team" about refunding our appointment deposit in which, no surprise, they completely stopped responding and refuse to follow up. Shuttle we booked looked nothing like the one on the website, it was old, spray painted damage to the roof and side, dirty, you could see the road thru the bottom of the door. The driver missed turns, almost hit a motorcycle and did 83 in a 70 with children in the vehicle. Definitely not worth what I paid for. read more

We booked a service to and from wrigleyville for a cubs game . The agreement was a 6pm pick up. At 6pm the driver informed us they were "overbooked" but on the way. They would be 1hr+ late. We asked to cancel and be compensated for half of our booking due to the fact that we would need to secure new transportation home. We have babies we need to get home to. We couldn't wait. The person on the phone helping me named Bail wasn't an ounce remorseful or apologetic. All he repeated over and over was that there is no refunds if the driver is on the way. He said if we cancel we are still obligated to pay full price and "I need to read the policy." I would never book with this company. They can show up 1hr+ late and still not refund you because the driver is technically "on the way". read more

Horrible experience, the bus was over an hour late. We didn't get an estimated time on arrival and even tho the bus was an hour late they didn't give us extended time on our trip. Other than the bus being late the bus we got was not the bus that we confirmed 3 days earlier before the trip. Will not be using this service along with the 30 riders on this bus for the future. Booked a party bus for a special birthday/concert night and it turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. For the trip down, the driver was late, making us late to the opening acts of the concert, there were no cups or ice on the party bus, so we had to stop, adding to the late arrival, and the driver came to me hand out stating what was collected at time of reservation was only a partial payment. Never once did the website state it was partial payment and the amount I paid is what I was quoted for the total, so they wait until it's already too late to book elsewhere and demand money while you have a group of people on the bus waiting. Price gouging and embarrassing your customer was not a good look. For the ride home, our original driver was already late and could not communicate where the pickup location was after the concert. I called the company owner for help and was hung up on twice while simply trying to figure out where our driver was. Then we were reassigned to a second driver who also could not provide an actual pickup location. Repeatedly saying things like "I'm over there" is not helpful when trying to locate a vehicle among thousands of people leaving Soldier Field at night. After waiting over an hour, I called again explaining that we were now some of the last people outside, traffic on Lake Shore Drive was moving (he kept using traffic as one excuse), and we simply needed clear instructions. Instead of helping, the driver began screaming profanities at me over the phone and yelling that it was not his responsibility to tell me where to meet him. He literally screamed that he was "going home" and hung up. At that point we had no choice but to pay for an Uber to get everyone home safely. Being late is one thing. Traffic happens. But hanging up on customers, failing to communicate pickup instructions, and screaming obscenities at women stranded outside a stadium after midnight is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Not only did all that happen on Sunday, but the driver that screamed obscenities at me texted me again Monday night calling me names, using obscenities and threatening me again. This man, who is clearly looking to cause trouble, knows my home address. Being made to feel unsafe in your own home is by far the worst part of this whole experience. I officiated a wedding this weekend where this company was responsible for transporting the wedding party, and they arrived 45 minutes late. For an event with a tight, coordinated timeline, that kind of delay is unacceptable and created unnecessary stress for everyone involved. The delay also put a prepaid reservation for the group at risk, which added to the impact. What stood out most was the complete lack of follow-up. There has been no outreach, no apology, and no clear effort to resolve the issue, which reflects very poorly on their customer service. For a company that handles major life events, the lack of professionalism and accountability is concerning. Horrible service and brutal representation from the owner (Richard). We booked their services for a wedding from a recommendation (they have since cancelled their booking with the company). MANY Problems occurred 1. Driver showed up 20+ minutes to pick up the groom and his groomsmen 2. Driver brought kid with him. 3. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM, THE DRIVER DROPPED OFF GROSSMEN AND NEVER WENT TO PICK UP THE BRIDE AND HER BRIDESMAIDS 4. Several calls into the dispatch and nothing got resolved 5. The bridesmaid and bride had to be picked up by guests at the wedding 6. Wedding started 45 minutes late, pictures were cut short 7. No call from a manager or the owner for 72 hrs. after several calls, the owner called 3 days later and stated he knew about the problem. What A liar!!! The service booked and paid for was an executive black sedan for transportation from Airport to hotel. The service was nothing like this. The car that showed up was an economy sedan that had not been detailed recently if ever, with a driver who seemed to have no experience as a professional limo driver. Not a black car. DON'T WORK/DRIVE FOR ROYAL CARRIAGE. These guys will ask you to be an affiliate, and not pay you after you complete services for them. The whole company is a scam, they evade being available. They will "call you back" and "forward information to a manager", but there is no communication from them. Calling and asking to speak to someone specific and being told they will be available later several time. They overbook themselves and reach out to people (myself) and have them drive for them. Clients are expecting a specific experience. Their website states: "Drug-Tested + Background-Checked Chauffeurs", however I was called on a Sunday afternoon, and within an hour, I was driving for them. Very disappointing experience for several reasons. I reserved a white stretch limo for my daughters wedding well in advance. The day of the wedding I received a call that there was not going to be a white stretch available due to a scheduling conflict and they would "upgrade" me to sprinter. This was not considered an upgrade for the bridal party nor what we reserved but we did not have an option. Sub standard vehicle , driver did not load our luggage of assist us , including the bride and women in heels into the vehicle and the back door was not latched and flew open when driver started vehicle. To make matters worse I sent several emails on the days following sharing my dissatisfaction and disappointment and did not get a response!! I would NOT reccomend this service as there are many other options to choose in Chicago that are reliable , consistent and courteous. read more
