Not crazy about the experience or the food. The customer service wasn't very helpful or friendly

We've been here a few times over the years. The food is good. The restaurant is clean. Your order at the counter. The service is generally quick. They no longer serve in house on plates or bowl. Everything gets packaged in styrofoam which ruins anything fried. Additionally I very much dislike eating out of styrofoam as a general rule, cheapens the experience and taste of the food. Because if this I can't give more than 3 stars. read more

Stopped for a quick bite before heading back to work. The outside appearance of the restaurant gave me the 50' & 60's diner feel you would typically see on the East coast. The service was speedy and to the point. I ordered combination fried rice (no pork) and chicken wings. Rice: Delicious....An even ratio of meat to rice and ur even had sprouts in it. I LOVE SPROUTS!!! I barely ate a fourth of my order. Very large portions. Chicken wings: Horrible....smh Overly breaded with no seasoning whatsoever. I would've asked for a refund, but I just didnt want to stand in the line. I would dine here again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't recommend the wings at all. read more

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I've passed it many times wondering about the quality of the food. I'm so glad I decided to stop and try the food. The service was great. The woman taking our order was nice and helpful. The wait wasn't long. We ordered the crispy spring roll which has both chicken and shrimp. I was a bit doubtful about the combination but it was really tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp fried rice is delicious! Also had the Beef in Garlic sauce and the Orange Chicken. Both were really good. The ingredients used in the Vietnamese shrimp roll were fresh and delicious. The steamed chicken pot stickers were really good. I'll be going back for sure. read more

I've watched this place grow and it's remained my absolute favorite. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. There are many seating options and TVs, you can see the working kitchen as you order so you know it's always fresh. Lomein, fried rice, the beef egg rolls!!! Mushroom chicken, sweet and sour chicken, the wonton chips - it's all so good! There has indeed been a time or two that I've been taken aback by the food but I'll say 9/10 it's delicious and no regrets. I've moved 2 towns over and still come once a month for my Chinese fix. I haven't found another place that compares. Not even the other location. I like that their systems keep track of your previous order making it super easy to order ahead for to-go. read more

First time to order arriba place. Definitely not true Chinese food!! Worse food ever. We ordered wonton soup, that was wares down no taste whatsoever. I had the chicken chow Main I asked if wet nobles the cashier guy said yes and when I got it it was crunchy ones. The fried rice , did not have any veggies, it was stray up white rice with soy sauce. Stopped by here to get a egg fried rice my family loves. While waiting my brother in law suggested I get something and I decided ti get their broccoli in garlic sauce. We asked how long it would take to make it and the lady responded saying its less than 5 mins :) Sure enough it was ready in under 5 mins. I absolutely loved the broccoli in garlic sauce. It reminded me of a place I loved in Champaign 10 years ago and instantly transported me there. read more

Best Chinese food in the area. I hadn't been here since Covid (used to be a weekly go to when I was going into the office) and I was pleased to see their quality and customer service is still as great as ever. The egg drop soup with the fried wonton wrapper things is delightful, as is the fried rice. The hot and sour soup was quite flavorful for this September 2022 return visit. Also, Mongolian Beef, tender sliced beef stir-fried with sweet onions in Mongolian sauce, was also quite tasty in our takeout order. I'm so glad I ordered and ate my food from Royal Chopstix before seeing a few of these reviews. I ordered via Uber eats and was so happy with my order. I'm not a huge Chine food fan. So when I have a Chinese meal, it would have to be stellar for me to be impressed. I was impressed. So impressed that I ordered again via Uber eats the next day. Ordered pick up as I was craving something Asian. I wanted to substitute my rice that came with the beef and broccoli for noodles and they said they don't do that. First time I've ever been told that, no problems at any other restaurants. I also got the combination fried rice. The prices are good however if you want noodles you'll have to buy that separate. The food was okay but honestly nothing special that would make me come to this particular restaurant again. Update: Decided to give this place a second chance since it's so close to my house. I'm glad I did the noodles were so flavorful. The chicken was really good too. I will be back and looking forward to trying more things on the menu. read more

Well this was for a take out order! Pork Lo Mein, Moo Goo Gai Pan, egg rolls, cream cheese wontons and large won ton soup. Not the most exciting order but we were both sick and wanted bland, I know quite a rarity. Bland is okay if executed properly but this was marginal. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was limp, the Lo Mein noodles were lacking in personality all blended with sauce to the point of being translucent and over cooked, while the pork was almost nonexistent! I wouldn't try this again even if I missed the mark on menu choices... no wok mastery here, no chop sticks, and frankly boring! read more

I ordered through a third-party app since I was craving Chinese food. I feel like the price and portion offered were great. I do miss a good americanized Chinese food because it brings back memories where I used to live. The wonton soup and broccoli chicken were fresh and tasty. I love this spot! I'd probably driven past it plenty of times but never tried it until recently. The prices are great and you get a generous amount of food. Just disappointing. I ordered The tangy and spicy chicken, lots of water chestnuts and green peppers, very little chicken. I like to think my expectations of a restaurants quantities are reasonable, that being said, the lack of chicken in this dish was laughable, to huge scoops of fried rice to go with my almost vegetarian dish. Those beef egg rolls remind me of the ones I used to eat back on the east coast when I was little. The fried rice is o.k. not what I am used to but I do like the royal chicken dish. Certainly cleaner than most Chinese places. I like the business model and simple menu. Portions are appropriate and have a decent value. My dish left something to be desired. I ordered extra spicy eggplant in garlic sauce and it was loaded with an unfavorable amount of Chinese chili paste. It didn't make the dish necessarily "hotter" it simply made every bite a seed covered grind. Rather than a nice squishy eggplant I got a seed ridden mash. Kinda bummed. I have to admit the presentation was spot on and the flavor was decent but really not exceptional by any metric. Brown rice was a little clumpy and cool. Not a fresh fluffy scoop you may be hoping for. If you want to hit that sodium rich deep fried frill this will certainly hit your dimension. I wouldn't advise it for a date.
