When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me. I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't argue with me and they were fixing it. Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them. CROOKS. Update: Subsequent to the original post, Jeffrey F from Arctic Mechanical wrote a reply to my post, inaccurately characterizing the events, but more importantly, listing my name and home address in his reply. This attempt to intimidate and chill my right to post about their business practices was appropriately taken down by Yelp. But this is further evidence of Arctic Mechanical's business practices and aggressive and shady front office.

This year I lost A/C after paying Arctic Mechanical to inspect and replenish proper refrigerant levels. Two weeks after Arctic Mechanical service, I lost A/C during dangerous heat. Failing to detect leakage BEFORE adding refrigerant is the service problem. Arctic solution is to now install a new A/C, after spending over $3,000 dollars on Arctic Mechanical service. In past, Artic quoted me a heat/hot water unit, and after accepting the quote installed a different brand. No explanation for this bait - and- switch maneuver. No longer quality service, little value, but unreliable response to emergency. Buyer beware.

Mr. Valenti was patient and expansive answering our many questions during the proposal phase, providing information that enabled us to complete the upgrade and stay within our budget. The work included a redo of our zoning controls, so now each operates independently and as needed, with new thermostats that tailor system operation to our zone preferences. After assessing the unit, he explained that the unit is dead and provided me with a few recommendations, replace what's required or the entire unit. He was very patient with me and explains the pros and cons. At the end, I decided the right thing to do is to replace the entire HVAC unit since the original unit is more than 13 years old. They have done a ton of work for me over the years including full replacement of our heating and AC systems for high efficiency ones, thermostat upgrades, water heaters, duct work... They have shown up at my house at 5AM in the morning to trouble shoot and replaced my old system on one of the coldest days of the year for me. The work is always quality and they always stand by it- if something isn't right they come back and fix it right away. What is the best about P&M to me is that they don't oversell you. I don't know anything about HVAC but Phil does not take advantage of that. He tells me what's practical and what he suggests, what will save me money now vs in the long run and let's me make my own decision. He consistently comes in cheaper than anyone else but more importantly I feel comfortable that I don't have to call around and get ten quotes when Phil tells me a price I know it's a fair one- this is rarely the case anymore. I once had an issue with a neighbor complaining about some construction happening at our house, Phil managed to smooth things over when it didn't even have anything to do with him. New review July 11. In February Robison did a complex job at…read moremy house. They removed an old central air conditioning system and all of the ductwork. And they replaced it with a Bosch pump system and two splits. As well as brand new ductwork. They returned just recently to fix a couple small problems that popped up. These problems are not unexpected given the complexity of the job. The crew arrived on time for the repair. Both of the gentleman knew the system because they were part of the install team. They were very courteous and proficient in completing the job as always. They diagnose the problems quickly and had solutions in place quickly. A few years ago Robison installed the system 2000 heating system run by oil. Another complex system and it was installed quickly and efficiently. They found that the system did not produce enough heat for my house. So within a couple months they returned with additional equipment that got attached to the system that somehow or another increase the efficiency of the new system 2000 and that helped a lot. Just another example of the fine work and craftsmanship of the Robison team. It's always a pleasure to deal with the crew of the Robison company. I've been a customer for many years and have never been disappointed. They certainly train and select their people well and their people are a wonderful representation of the brand. It's great to work with a family owned company. Nothing like it. Tim Fernandez in sales put the proposal together and was able to get me a substantial rebate I believe due to the two ductless units - which I appreciate. as expected, the Robison team has been extremely professional, efficient, courteous and neat. these folks know what they are doing and it a pleasure, as usual, working w them and having them in my house. they work well as a team and show a lot of respect for each other. they are excellent representatives of the Robison brand. earlier post: i have been a robison customer for about 18 years and they continue to provide outstanding service and high quality products. you get what you pay for - as they say. all of the service people i deal with - phone, on-line or in my home - are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and when on a service callin my home very respectful of keeping things clean like floors. they explain everything in plain english so somewhat complex issues are easy to understand. initially they installed the "system 2000" oil burner. the service team was experienced (average 25 years w robison) and incredibly knowledgeable. they did a great job and, i believe as part of their QC, sent someone back to my house to make sure i was satisfied and that the install was proper. as usual, superb service and knowledgeable staff. could not be more satisfied with everything they have done for me. all of my interactions w phone staff and field staff have been excellent. they stand by their products and i very much appreciate that. on the coldest day of this past winter - 4 degrees - the thermostat shorted out at about 9:00 on a saturday night and by 11:00 it was about 50 degrees in the house. i called for service and the service rep showed up at 3:00am (i was given this time frame re his arrival) on sunday and swapped thermostats to solve the problem. a real lifesaver as the temp was dropping by the minute. thank you, robison.
