Came here for a business meeting during lunch hours and we were the only ones there. Good thing for us, that meant no waiting and we never had to wave down our server. I ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan and rice. The price is fair, but the quality was beyond average. Never in a million years did I expect to find a decent Indian cuisine here in Burien, but this place proved me wrong. The chicken was tender and full of flavor - so savory and creamy too! That dish really blew me away. The garlic naan on the other hand was mediocre. Nothing that would make me jump out of my seat for. And out of all the Indian restaurants I've been to, I've never been served such a small portion of naan (maybe it's just me). Regardless, the butter chicken really makes up for it. I ordered from here about two years ago and wasn't impressed but decided to give them another chance tonight and am disappointed I did. I ordered the tika masala lamb and it had 4 tiny pieces of lamb in it. I called to see if it was a mistake and the person working assured me it wasn't an issue error with my order and that they can't put much meat in it because of Uber charges etc. So I wasted $35 for a bunch of sauce and a bowl of rice. read more

Wonderful Indian spices bloom from every dish. We had the Keema Samosa (Lamb) Chicken Tikka, Bhindi Masala (Okra), Baigan Bhartha (eggplant) Biryani, and Garlic Naan. It was all amazing and so fresh tasting, the Keema Samosa, Biryani and Bhindi Masala blew my socks off and the garlic naan was soft and flavorful, just wish I had ordered extra naan. Been here twice, once for dinner and once for there weekend buffet and both experience was great. The food is the fairly standard Indian restaurant menu, though the dinner is fairly extensive with everything from various type of naan, currys, grilled items and biryani. The lunch buffet is kind of limited compared to some other Indian restaurant I been to in Seattle, but everything is well cooked and refilled often. The price of the food is pretty affordable. The service is great with the food coming out quickly and the servers regularly coming to check in and refilling water. The space is fairly large with a lot of booth seating. We were in the search for a good Indian take out place. Yelp sure led us to a gem. Located in the center of downtown Burien, you can't miss it on the main strip. We were able to order our food thru yelp/Eat24 and headed straight away to pick it up. Yelp/Eat24's app was great, it allowed us to pick our spice level per dish. The only thing that wasn't very clear was the option of meats per dish. I didn't see an option so the establishment needed to call me to confirm my protein in each dish. Upon entering the place was well lit, clean, and someone greeted us right away. We had a few minutes wait so we were able to sit on their red couch in their waiting area. There were multiple parties dining in the restaurant and all seemed pleased. When we got home we were pleasantly impressed with the spice levels, and everything tasted amazing. We ordered chicken tikka Marsala, butter chicken, and two sides of garlic naan. It was more than enough for the both of us and we had left overs for a amazing lunch the next day. Excellent food and service!!. We will come back again soon. We made reservations for a group of 18 of us on Sunday afternoon. Everyone ordered different meals, and we were all very happy with the freshly made, warm food with delicious flavors. They accommodated one guest who wanted no spice, and one vegetarian. The curries were delicious, the Tandori meat dishes were seasoned just right. They also brought out extra rice and warm naan bread for the whole table. The meal for two with a variety of dishes fed a family of two adults and two boys , 5 and 10. With our large group it took about 20- 30 minutes from ordering until we received our main dishes, but we expected this and we weren't in a hurry. Appetizers were brought out right away. The chicken biriyani was really good and I usually think that at restaurants like these it's not that good. Butter chicken and naan were also really good. The varieties of naan were fire. I love Indian food. So had to try this new local Indian food restaurant. They have some strengths and some areas to improve on. We dined on a Saturday Evening around 7pm. Restaurant was clean and well presented. We were greeted promptly, given menus and water. A good variety of dishes are available, I ordered the tandoori chicken and Keema (lamb and potato). Not a big fan of the Samosas here, bland and not well spiced. The tandoori chicken was outstanding, the garlic naan was perfect. Then there was the service... Area for improvement, for sure. Our waiter disappeared after dinner came out. No check back to make sure we had everything, no water refill, had to flag him down for to go boxes, even though our forks had been down for more than 15 minutes. I have high hopes for this restaurant! It's caused quite a buzz on local Burien Facebook groups, and we're all excited to have a new lunch spot right in town. For all the rave reviews in those FB groups, this place really lives up to the hype. Affordability: $10 lunch buffet, 7 Days a week from 11a-2p. Most everything on their menu ranges from $2.50 to ~$16. Big portions, a great deal for lunch or dinner. Service: For a family-owned, brand new restaurant without a bunch of staff... they're pretty top notch. Attentive, quick to seat you and get your water, quick to take your order and offer naan. I've only had takeout and the lunch buffet so far. The takeout was ordered on their first day, took about 30 mins, and came with free papadum and tamarind chutney. For being their busy first night, this was IMPRESSIVE. The lunch buffet was yesterday, a slow Sunday (was packed on Saturday). The owner (?) walked me through everything in the buffet, refilled my water personally, shared deets about his cook, was excited about Yelp reviews and the Burien groups, and even shared why they have which things in their buffet. He introduced himself and chatted with everyone in the restaurant, not just me! Food: So tasty, and wonderful quality. I could drown in the Chicken Tikka, or at least eat it every day for a while. Owner convinced me to try the Korma (?) which was equally creamy and tasty. Same with the tamarind chutney - I'm used to mango and other fruit ones, but I think tamarind is a new fave. The lunch buffet (I added pics) looks small, but it really has a little bit of everything and is very very filling. Decor, Atmosphere: Similar to the previous arrangement, nice lighting. Re: previous reviewer, they have music now! Tips for owner: - Take used buffet plates from tables asap. They can build up quick, especially in groups of 3+. - Have at least 1 spicy curry in the buffet, not just hot sauce on the side. I know you want "American spicy" safety but sometimes, a good kick in the taste buds can really make a patron appreciate the creamier things on the rest of the menu / buffet. For our extremely SUBPAR meal this evening, we had to wait outside in our car even longer after having placed and paid for the order an hour before that. Upon receiving the food, I mentioned the issues of them not fulfilling the paid order (as it had been overlooked) was and was met with a resentful attitude from the man who took the order and was working the register. THE FOOD-- Chicken tikka masala, being my favorite meal, I am good judge of. This one is extremely average or below at best. My serving came with only five small chunks of chicken in it. Only five pieces. This has been another complaint by many that I have spoken with and that have posted on here. -- My boyfriend ordered the Brown Curry. As soon as he sat down and started eating, he asked me to bring him some seasonings to add to his food. We also received no rice with these. We are regulars here and because of my love for Indian food and the fact that is extremely close to us, I have continued to order with them. After tonight, I will not be doing so ever again. I hate posting reviews this harsh, but I feel that in this case it's important to let others know my experience. My partner, friend, and I went to dinner here after all coming from different locations - I had been traveling in CA, my friend was traveling from another state, & my partner was here in WA. The three of us went to dinner at Royal Everest right after my friend & I landed (arriving on separate flights). We shared the vegetarian combo and butter chicken. Within about 8 hours I started vomiting profusely. Within 12 hours my partner and friend started vomiting; we all had additional GI bowel symptoms and all cleared the bug in about 24 hours. When I called the restaurant to let them know they didn't care at all. They didn't ask what we ate or any other questions. They simply told me "I'll have a manager call you". A manager never called. My dining party was all healthy people. With an underlying condition this could have been a much more serious outcome. Regardless, 24 hours of vomiting & GI upset is unpleasant even for the healthiest of us. I will never eat at this restaurant again and hope that if others experience this they leave a review &/or report this restaurant to the King County Health Department. read more

Found this gem not too long ago and ever since I have been coming back. Whenever I am craving Indian food, Royal Everest I my go-to spot. The service is decent and friendly. Food is good and seems fresh. My favorite food/drink items are always the butter masala, garlic naan, and the mango yogurt lassi. When I have time, I hope to come here during their lunch hours where it's a buffet style. I highly recommend coming here if you live around the area and craving Indian food! read more

A sweet surprise to get super tasty food here.. we were famished after long travel and even though the place looked a bit dingy i am glad we decided to stop by here. The food came out really quickly, and was hot and tasted really good. We even ordered seconds of a few dishes. I ate here last night for the first time and liked it so much we returned for the lunch buffet today! Extensive menu with both meat and vegetarian options, great food and a very nice staff. Prices are reasonable. I have tried and can recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, Karahi Gosht with lamb, Tandoori chicken, Lamb Sheesh Kabab, Chana Masala, Daal Makhani, and the Shahi Korma. We called in an order on Sunday 12/13 for delivery and spent $117.20. The food was cold. The meat was dry and overcooked. The portions were incredibly small. And, we were charged $2.00 for a single CAN of Sprite. We reached out to the establishment immediately. I, personally, have tried to call as well as leave a message via the website. I have received no response. We have ordered many times in the past, however, this delivery was beyond disappointing - it was terrible. One of my friends became extremely sick. I am all about being understanding during these difficult times, but this was really out of character for your establishment. I would appreciate a refund and at minimum an explanation. read more

Burien is SO lucky to have this place. This is some of the best Indian food I have had. Many order and pick up to take home, but eating there allows you to enjoy their delicious chutney, mint relish, and homemade carrot pickle with ginger - all of which are delicious with most everything. Ive frequented quite a lot of indian shindigs in college because of the seattle indian food night life and post college software engineer lifestyle of working with mostly desis. So i know a good joint! We got the goat tikka masala extra spicy, samosa chaat, and garlic naan. Amazing. Next to us someone got tandoori chicken and that smelled amazing too but they didnt seem like folks whod enjoy sharing with a stranger. The tikka was spot on not too creamy or americanized with a bunch of cream or anything. Extra spicy was just spicy for us which was great. The goat was super delish with some tendons thrown in but there were bones and was a bit tough to get to some meat. Garlic naan was great. Same as other places Samosa chaat had less chutney and yogurt than i like but was still clean and delicious. Prices were awesome so much more affordable than redmond or bellevue. Spent 25 for the two of us. The service was also super! They were super calm and nice. Very accommodating and helpful took really good care of their guests and made sure to make us feel comfortable. I really hope they keep this up so that we can say we have a close ish local ish indian go to spot! read more

Meh. This place isn't anything special. I was recommended to come here by a local, while I had time to kill for a plane to arrive. First off I'm not one to talk how lack of service but damn. The wait staff is new or they clearly do not know much. Never once was checked on to see how my food tasted and they wanted to refill my water when I was wanting to pay and leave. I waited 10 minutes to get a box to go and pay to leave. Waited that long because I didn't see one person who worked there. When I had left overs my server looked at me and the way he talked to me was rude. He needs Bette manners. I ordered one dish and he acted like he was surprised and annoyed. Like sorry I was solo ‍ and when I had left overs he had the same rude/surprised tone. Idk if he thought I was just fat or what but I'm 9 months pregnant. Thanks. They also have zero info on any alcoholic drinks they offer. (Table next to me wanted wine and they didn't even know which ones they carried. I get not knowing details about the wine but at least know the basics.) was I ignored because I wasn't a big party and was by myself? Idk. I've worked in restaurants for 5 years and know what crappy service is like. Now onto the food. The rice is bland, worse than the rice I make at home. I mean come on!! I've been to a bunch of Indian places and the rice has never once been this bland. I ordered the coconut chicken curry which was meh alright. Also lacked in flavor. Wish they had salt on the table. We also love the garlic naan and samosas, which pair perfectly with tendori chicken (mmmmm) and the basmati rice which is always on point. I've eaten here for dinner and lunch buffet. I was impressed by the food both times. The servers were friendly and efficient. I actually forgot the name of the chicken dish I had for dinner the first time I went, but it was a specialty of theirs. The lunch buffet had the usual chicken tikka masala, goat curry, saag paneer, gulaab, keer, salads, etc. For $10 a person, it's a good way to satisfy a craving without breaking the bank. I don't know why yelp blocked so many reviews that I saw the first time around. They were what brought me to this place and it definitely deserves more than the 3.5 stars it's sitting at now. read more

Best Indian food I've had. The food was prepared quickly and served at a desirable temperate. The presentation of the food was very lovely which complemented the amazing flavors. The paneer in the paneer tikka masala was fresh and soft. The flavors from the tikka masala were the best out of all i've had before and the portion was very generous. Each dish is served with rice which is great as many places charge for rice. My mother ordered a vegetarian masala with potatoes and peas which she described as "yummy". I also ordered an Aloo Naan which is naan filled with mashed potatoes. This was a step outside of my comfort zone as I normally order plain naan and I was very pleased with what I got. The naan had amazing flavors which complimented my dish and a decent serving size. I will be saving my leftovers for another amazing meal, tipping well, and returning soon. read more

I ordered online for takeout and the minute I arrived,y food was just being carried out of the kitchen. I got home and tried the veggie samosas. The crust was crisp as it should be, and the spices were fresh and sharp. Perfect. The paneer butter masala was delicious. I requested medium heat, but found it mild. Perhaps they don't have a scale and simply make it mild as that is the local market of milquetoast suburban Seattleites. However, despite this the depth of flavor in the smooth and savory sauce made up for the lack of heat. I will be back, but possibly requesting more spice. read more

The restaurant was not very busy on our arrival and we were seated promptly. The familiar smells of Indian spices were warm and welcoming. There appeared to be 3 or 4 waiters moving about however, it seemed there was an unnecessary delay and someone taking our drink order. After finally ordering an iced tea and a mango lemonade, we waited and waited. Our appetizer came and we had to ask again for our drinks and still waited for them. The place did not appear busy. Once our entrees arrived......OMG! They were spectacular. Hubby ordered lamb coconut curry and I had butter chicken masala. They were absolutely divine. My husband still struggled getting refills on his tea but we were enjoying our dinner so much that it wasn't as irritating as it could have been. If they were more attentive to their customers, I would give them a 5 star in a heartbeat. The food is certainly 5 star worthy but the service is not. read more
