Mixed Experience - Some Hits, Some Misses I ordered takeout based on the positive reviews here, and had a mixed experience overall. Aalu tikki Burger - this is good, love the crispy aalu patti and overall burger. The chips was mediocre, it didn't feel fresh or crispy as you expect from potato chips! Chicken Masala burger - this isn't made with Patty but julienned chicken which makes the bun soggy for a take out order. It feels like the same chicken used in the chicken jungli roll. Chicken jungli roll - while the chicken was spicy and juicy, the roll was seeping of oil in the end. Chole batura - the baturas were small 3 baturas which were ok but the channa masala had 4 tsp of oil which i had to throw before even I tried to taste. Chicken biryani - this was a let down, the biryani has a rose water or a different unusual flavor that was making this biryani different than other biryani I have eaten. The chicken wasn't that tender either. The raita was overpowered with chat masala. Peri Peri fries were ok, the masala was different than what I have eaten before but the overall fries could have been better. Overall, the food is decent but each dish seemed to be missing something to make it really shine.

First Things First -- What's a Tapri? A tapri is a small, humble roadside tea stall -- the kind you'll find all over India. Think steaming chai, quick snacks, a bit of organized chaos, and casual conversations among locals, students, and workers. Nothing fancy, but full of soul. Now About This Place... [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the outside, it almost gives off a Mexican roadside café vibe. Step inside, and it's full-on tapri vibe -- cluttered, unpretentious and small. Half the space is under a sunroof, which I actually liked. The interior isn't upscale -- it gives off the vibe of a quick bite spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Now for the quirky part: orders are taken via Zoom. Unique? Definitely. Smooth? Not quite. Overall a bit unassuming. But let's move past the quirks and get to the good stuff. The Chef The real highlight here is Chef Sujan, originally from Bengal, and previously a chef at the Taj 5-star hotel in India. He came out to talk -- friendly, humble, and clearly passionate about his craft. What I Loved: Dahi Sev Puri Lightly sweetened yogurt bursts in the mouth, puris filled with spicy mashed potatoes and topped with crispy sev -- this felt straight out of a Bengali-style street cart. And for the record, Bengal makes the best sev puris in India. I absolutely loved this one. Jangli Chicken Kati Roll One of the better kati rolls I've had in Seattle. Since Kolkata is the birthplace of kati rolls, this one felt authentic. It even comes with a simple coleslaw on the side -- a nice touch. Chicken Dum Biryani This might be a different kind of biryani than what you're used to -- because it has Kolkata-style touches! The aroma, boiled potato, bone-in chicken, and caramelized onions all point to that. It was fragrant, balanced, and delicious. My only note: the portion of meat could've been a bit more generous. Butter Chicken with Jeera Rice I'm picky when it comes to butter chicken -- and this one passed with flying colors. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and paired well with cumin rice. What could be better: Chicken Masala Burger An Indian-style burger with chicken cubes. It was okay -- not bad, but not something I'd go back for. If you're short on appetite, you can safely skip this one. Masko Bun An Indian tea-time classic. Here, it's served pressed like a panini, with a sweet, caramelized filling. Personally, I wasn't a fan. Traditional maska buns (like in Hyderabad) are soft, buttered, and unpressed -- I prefer that version. Chai? decent -- but slightly pricey for what it was. This is the closest Indian restaurant to SeaTac Airport, offering authentic Indian street food, with several items clearly reflecting a Bengali twist. Between the delicious flavors, the warm and talented chef, and the raw, tapri-style vibe, it's definitely worth checking out -- especially if you're craving no-frills Indian street food just minutes from the airport. * They use both zabiha halal and machine-halal chicken. So call ahead to ask what brand they are using now.

Had Chicken roll and chicken biryani. Both were delicious. Chef Sujoy was kind enough to chat with us. Biryani today was Kolkata style and we loved it. Masala Yogurt drink was tasty and authentic. Would definitely be going back.

this place has great food! service and interaction with clients, not so much. it's a bit awkward when you walk in because there's no one to greet you and a live screen with someone who looks like they're on a zoom call. there's a tablet on the front counter for ordering, unless you intend to eat there. i would hope if people do enter with the intention to eat n house that someone comes out to not only greet them but provide some customer service. i ordered on the tablet and had no interaction with anyone but i could see and hear them working in back. whether they were working on my order was unclear until someone came out, said, "hello?!" and handed me my order. in that regard, i think their system could be improved to include more interaction and welcome. their food was great! i ordered a paneer kathi roll which really did look like they had used a tortilla but taste-wise, i was back on the streets of delhi. i also ordered chaat and i had my doubts, especially given that i was taking it to go but let me tell you: as long as you know how to assemble it (which i do,) this was the star of the show! super flavorful, plenty of individual ingredients (as a matter of fact, tons of yogart which i plan to incorporate into other meals.) it was hard to comment on overall ambiance. there was lots of light and some decor as well as a pile of games i suppose people sitting at tables could use but while i was there, no one else was occupying a table or coming in to order/pick up food. if you live near seatac or in tukwila this may be among your usual haunts however this was out of the way for me and not necessarily easy to get to since you're having to go around the airport entrance and also the runways. that said, i WOULD go back because i do crave the midan street food on a regular basis and the flavors were spot on. id probably opt for take out again because [[HIGHLIGHT]]despite seeming clean, the interior wasn't a place i could see myself wanting to hang out in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Just under 5 minutes from SeaTac, Urban Tapri is a hidden gem that delivers a serious flavor punch! Every bite was bursting with bold, delicious spices. We tried the Masala Peanut Chaat, Paneer Kathi Roll, Peri Peri Aloo Kathi Roll, Masala Fries, and the Aloo Tikki UFO Burger -- and loved every single dish. The Carrot Halwa made for the perfect sweet finish to an already fantastic meal. The Chef was very pleasant to talk to; such a humble fellow! But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the unique ordering process -- we walked in to find a screen with a live Zoom call! A warm, smiling lady greeted us remotely and took our order through the screen. Totally unexpected, and honestly, kind of amazing.

This place went downhill so fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's gotten super dirty -- food all over the floor, tables not wiped, and the seat cushions are covered in stains.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I even saw silverfish crawling on the furniture. Be careful, you might end up taking them home with you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]Prices have gone way up lately, which makes no sense for a place that's nowhere near Seattle or Bellevue. There's no staff anymore -- everything's done through a screen, and the person taking your order is overseas. That would be fine if they were passing the savings on to customers, but instead, prices keep climbing. If there's barely anyone working there except the cook, why is the food more expensive than actual restaurants in Seattle and Bellevue? And they still ask for tips on top of that. The internet connection is terrible too, so half the time you can't even hear the person on the screen.Worst part? I paid $22 for a basic chicken biryani with no condiments, and found a bug in it that looked like a small roach. Totally disgusting. Threw it straight in the trash

The ordering was a little quirky with using a screen to order, but the food was amazing. I've been twice and the quality is consistent.

But portion size was pretty small. I'll try the "extra crispy" option next time to see what that's like. I used the kiosk to order. Easy enough. When my order was ready, a few orders were ready at the same time. It was a little chaotic. It's hard to give them a rave review. The burger scene is crowded. Firebite Burger and Katsuburger are tough to beat. And Red Robin is across the street. The "haystack double" at Red Robin is only $12.99, with bottomless fries.. But if you ad a $3.99 soda, it's more expensive with the tip, but not by much, and you get a double cheeseburger, and free refills on the drink. But this is better than the fast food chains in overall quality. Ambience? I don't know what I expected. Interior was kind of spartan, yet kinda loud and hectic. They have outside patio seating if the weather is nice enough. But there is traffic noise and clowns in the parking lot with loud aftermarket pipes.

After 7 nights of cruise food, we were ready to try something new and local. Sharp's was only 5 minutes from our hotel, and highly rated, so I figured we would give it a shot. We arrived at the restaurant to a full parking lot with people standing outside. However, when we went in, the wonderful hostess informed us there was no wait. The seater showed us to our table, and chatted with us about our day along the way. He also explained the 3 menus that he gave us, and informed us we were right in time for happy hour. Our server, Sam, greeted us promptly, and she was so incredibly welcoming to our family, answering questions about the menu items. It was so hard to decide what to order, so we ordered several small plates (Brisket nachos, Wings, Brisket tacos, fries, and mac and cheese, along with the complimentary cornbread). To our surprise, everything came out so quickly. This was probably the fastest service I've ever had at a restaurant. The servers who delivered our food were friendly and welcoming as well. Not only that, EVERYTHING we ate was phenomenal. The fries were flavorful and perfectly salted, the wings were fantastic, and the brisket nachos? Wow....the brisket was some of the best we've ever had, and the nacho chips even stood out. The biggest compliment is from our 15 year old who said that the mac and cheese is some of the best pasta she's ever had. Throughout the whole meal, Sam was so attentive and chatting with us about the restaurant and dessert options. I truly enjoyed everything about our experience. The food and service both were top notch. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is that I'll have to book another flight to Seattle from Michigan to eat there. I'll be recommending it to everyone I know though!

I always believe in second chances, so today I stopped by again. Again, they were one of the most crowded spots in the food court and service was a bit slow - yet picked up when the lunch hour hit. I was happy with the cheeseburger, which was tasty even without any condiments (I just added lettuce and tomato). I also tried the tiramisu shake. Thoughts on that: 1) I've never felt that shakes that include coffee really do anything coffee normally does and this was no exception (to be fair, tiramisu doesn't give you a buzz, either); 2) don't forget to chip away at the cookies inside the shake because getting those cookie bits into the mix really ups the taste. If you are vegetarian, they have some options. They will also do lettuce wraps instead of bun or gluten free buns. Pretty great. Hard to rate ambience - it's a food court. But there was plenty of empty seating nearby, even during lunch; many people come for takeout orders or are dashers.
