Only two of my hot sauces give me that satisfying tingle, and both of them are labeled like triple x or something that suggests they should blow your socks off. They don't. We've been driving past Dave's Hot Chicken since it opened, as one of Jeremy's best friends lives in Pasadena. And I've been curious how it compares to Hangry Joe's (which I LOVE). We finally had the chance to try Dave's Hot Chicken yesterday while we were on our way to a job for Jeremy's new mobile auto repair business. And it was INCREDIBLE. You can choose your spice level. I went with HOT, which is in the middle of the scale, and they weren't kidding. It was actually hot! My faith in my tastebuds was restored! I was ever-so-grateful for the cooling power of Dave's Sauce (which is basically a delicious yumyum sauce) and the coleslaw. Im not a fan of dill pickles, but Jeremy happily devoured mine. The Dave's Sauce is also great on their fries, which are seasoned and crinkle cut. They're fantastic when they're freshly made. Jeremy got a sandwich as well, and some nuggets. He could not have been more delighted by the meal. Neither could I. Would absolutely recommend

I love the…read moregentle Cajun flavoring of the coating on this fried chicken, and you can get additional gently-cajun Krunch sauce or spicy buffalo sauce or other sauces on the side. I stopped by at 11am on a weekday, and the chicken was piping hot and juicy, much fresher than other fast-food chicken places. The tasty coating had a nice slight crisp to it, though it wasnt as crunchy as the fast-food brand that starts with a P. As I ate in my car, several roadwork crews walked by with their KKC© bags, so it's pretty well known along this part of US-40. There's parking out front for about 30 vehicles, and it's just a few steps from a large mall parking lot. This place is between a Goodyear and an AT&T, all in a little strip mall of their own. It's easy to find. When you're driving west, just turn in at the several Krispy Krunchy Chicken banners on the westbound side of Baltimore National Pike just west of I-695 and look for Poblano. It's a little tricky coming east: you have to drive past Alexander Av, (no matter what your map-app says), and do a u-turn where you would be going into the Lidl - Home Depot parking lot. I mention this because of course I made the wrong turn the first time. Then come back to those KKC banners, and go into Poblano Halal Mexican Grill.

We had a super friendly, helpful server, and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. So much looked good, and I knew I wanted some fresh crab (when in Rome!). I got the crab benedict, and while I don't usually go for benedicts, I was really in it for the lump crab. The flavor and freshness were able to shine in this dish, and it was honestly perfect. My friend liked his crab cobb salad, and my husband wasn't super hungry, but he enjoyed his popcorn chicken appetizer. The food and drinks are both incredibly creative as well!

My group of five decided to try Bunny's Buckets & Bubbles for Saturday brunch and came away happy with the experience. Bunny's had been on my list for a minute, and once I saw they joined the InKind dining app, I was sold. We wanted the full experience, so we ordered most of the appetizers along with their infamous fried chicken bucket to share family style. Our spread included both styles of deviled eggs, one with pimento cheese and the other with lump crab, hash browns with salmon caviar, waffle fry brunch poutine, and of course the Bougie Clique and Caviar shot with Veuve Clicquot champagne and a paddlefish caviar chaser. We also went through several rounds of cocktails, with our favorites being the Cotton Candy Spritz and the Cedar and Cider. The spritz comes with a big piece of cotton candy on the rim that dissolves into the vodka and prosecco, while the Cedar and Cider is a smoked tableside old fashioned with salted caramel sugar. Both were fun without feeling like they were all gimmick. Service was great as well, with food and drinks coming out at a nice pace throughout our leisurely two hour brunch. My only gripe was the main event, the eight piece fried chicken bucket. At $42, with sauces another $2 each, it is a pricey bucket of chicken. It was tasty, but in a city where you can get absolute fire fried chicken from a chicken box joint for $8 to $10, you better bring something out of this world at that price. Our standouts were easily the lump crab deviled eggs and the hash browns with caviar. Overall, Bunny's made for a really enjoyable Saturday brunch and is definitely worth trying, especially if you want something a little more indulgent and fun.

The menu noted that the price was 16.49. When the young man brought me my food, I asked him to let me speak to the manager as she was the person who took my order. She came over and asked what was the problem. I pointed out that the menu noted the dinner was $16.49 and she had charged me $19.99- which was $3.50 more. She asked where did the menu say this price. I showed her the overhead marquee and she responded that they have two and the wrong one was up. I didn't argue- although I could have. Instead I told her she might want to make sure she update the marquee if she wasn't going to honor the price. While there are a lot of young people who work here- the manager wasn't- thus her reply was not anchored in inexperience. I was disappointed that she didn't offer to make it right or acknowledge that it was their error. That's poor customer service. Usually service is good and the food tastes close enough to grandma's that it addresses the craving. Just check your receipt.

For ten minutes the people behind the counter completely ignored me while I was standing there waiting to get my food. No one looked uo at the front counter. Eventually a new customer came in. The person I spoke to when I first arrived came from the kitchen. They walked past me - ignoring me - and took their order. They then turned to go back to the kitchen. At that point I yelled " May I please have my order that's been ready for ten minutes ." They looked at me - went back to putting their dressing cups in a refrigerator- then came back to give me my food. Customer services is everything. They should have been paying attention. They should have apologized for the food taking so long, They were rude and just did not care. I put their cash tip back in my pocket and returned it to the people ordering the lunches. I warned them of the lack of customer service and advised them to go elsewhere in the future. I'll do the same.

The fries are good but not worth the trip. Fresh cut, skin on fries. Keep it this simple, which they did, and you can't go wrong. The burger, which was supposed to be 1/4 lb seemed on the small side. The pineapple slice (got the Hawaiian burger) was almost tasteless such that I had to check a couple times if I there was still any in my burger. Also, the restaurant was very cold! I happened not realize that the thermostat was on the wall in front of me and it was set to 66°. That's probably fine if you're popping in to pick up an order but not fine at all if you're eating there.
