He was friendly and well informed. He. Went over several options. Our 42 year old ac unit finally died. When we were having problems with our credit application he took time out of his Sunday to help us. That's above and beyond customer service. Our installer and his assistant, Francisco and Kevin did an excellent job. Again very friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the job. All things were installed perfectly and they cleaned up after themselves and went over everything about the new system. I've used Air Depot several times, no longer. AC wasn't keeping up with the summer heat, guy came out and inspected, tried to immediately sell me a new system, after I said no, he sent actual technicians to diagnose the problem. They decided the evaporator coil had a leak because the system pressure was low. After the coil was replaced, they didn't seal the unit in the attic so it was blowing cold air into my attic, they had to send someone out to finish the job. Paid ~$2500 to replace the coil only for the problem to persist. They came back out 2 weeks later and said the compressor was going out. Had to pay for an entire new system because the old refrigerant is no longer legal. So was it the compressor or the coil?? They installed the new system and 2 weeks later I had a leak in my ceiling because they installed the system incorrectly. Through all of this was a very combative and rude office lady who argued that my drain line was plugged and it was my fault because that's related to plumbing. The technician confirmed that they installed the system unlevel so all the condensation ran out the back of the unit instead of into the drain pan. Had to have extensive drywall repair because of their bad install. They'll never be back to my house and I advise anyone to avoid this business. Train wreck from the very first phone call. read more

I got their number from Daikin and called Air Depot because they are only about 1.5 miles from my home. I wanted a price quote for a 24,000 BTU inverter and another for a dual head inverter. Ignacio who returned my call told me how expensive the Daikin is a price that was double the price of a nearby competitor, and that was a cash price. It was obvious that they did not want to drive 1.5 miles for an estimate or toe give a realistic price. They have been in business for a long time, but it is obvious that they do not need more business. I had wanted to buy several split systems, but I will use a competitor with a motivate estimator. It seems that their service experience has been generally bad over the last year or so. I am sorry that I wasted their time and my time calling them for a simple estimate. read more

I scheduled an appointment today to have my A/C repaired and was told someone would be here between 12 and 2 p.m., ($89 to show up plus the cost of the work). After two hours, someone from Air Depot called to say there was a "ladder fee" of $85 that they forgot to mention so the fee doubled even though a technician did not show up. Ten minutes later, after canceling several important business meetings to be home to have my A/C repaired, the service repair person called to tell me he was not coming and he was only available 8 -10 pm tonight. Very similar experience to another reviewer. Furnace not blowing warm air. Tech came out and determined the part needed and would need to order. Few days later someone from the company called and said it would be be $360. I checked and this part (pressure switch) cost $19 online and takes less than 5 mins to install!! (2 screws --Which I installed myself for $0) Are you kidding me? When I asked the gentlemen on the phone for the parts and labor breakdown -- - he would not do it!! ( this is where it gets good) He says "we don't price like that" I asked why not? He says it's like a steak at Perry's -- they don't quote the meat price separate from the cooking. Showed up late , explained to him that AC has been running although not cooling the house. The tech was asking me why it's not !!! I think we called/hired you to troubleshoot and advise. Then he stated that they would charge $ 500.00 hour beyond the inspection. Ten stars!!!! I strongly recommend using Air Depot for purchasing a new a/c. They have 30 years experience and you can tell by the way they handle their business. I believe their quotes are very reasonable and fair compared to others. I purchased a Lennox 16 seer which comes with a 10 year Parts warranty and 1 year labor. They also have a maintenance plan they offer to help you through the year! :). The owner and his employees go OVER and BEYOND to make sure you get the best possible products and services for your budget. And most importantly, their follow up is amazing!!! I even got a call from the owner, later in the day of my install, to ensure I was happy with the new products/services, even though the day before Thanksgiving. He made sure I was taken care of in EVERY way!!! Within just a few days of me contacting them, they had replaced my entire system and upgraded mine tremendously. I also appreciated my salesman, Joe, who originally came out several months ago with give me a quote for redoing all the ductwork. He took his time and gave me a lot of great advice. Ken, the owner of company, called me SEVERAL times and even came to my house a few times to ensure I was getting everything done correctly, like I had requested (including purchasing a new A/c unit, getting new duct work, a new filter in the attic so I don't have to replace the other smaller ones, and installing a smart thermostat I had received from my electric company, and balancing my air throughout my house which had never been done before.). My bedrooms have always felt very hot and all the air went into the main living area. Joe, Ken, Ricardo, Francisco and their team went way the extra mile to make my new system work so much more efficiently. I've never seen a company work so hard improve the system and replace a 19 year old unit that had finally died out. Ken, thank you again for being so kind and patient and thorough with me, answering all my questions. I truly appreciate it and you taking so much time with me. This is the 3rd time we've had to deal with Air Depot for issues concerning our AC unit. The first time the coils were leaking and the second time the fan motor (something like that) went out. Those two times we were lucky because our AC was still under warranty. This time it wasn't. I was terrified!!! How much is this going to cost? Well after a quick google search of the symptoms I found out what it was and it was cheap, but did I really want to risk messing with electrical wires? Yeah, I'd cut the breaker etc, but not sure I like the idea of messing with this. Because of this I decided to call Air Depot. Since they worked on our AC previously and did great work (and were great at communicating said work), I decided to give them a call to see if they could come out today. They were at my home, part installed, etc all within an hour! Mind you, this is the middle of the day on a Saturday. I can't say what would happen at midnight on a Sunday! But once again, the tech didn't just explain the problem, he even showed me how he diagnosed it. Then he stayed until we were sure the fan was coming on and cooling. Now, yes, this cost much more than if I had done it by myself, and maybe next time I would do it by myself, but I much prefer knowing it is done right than having something blow out because I put the right wire in the wrong spot! read more

I purchased a complete system replacement from Air Depot, including two complete units. There were some challenges with the equipment when it arrived on site, but they worked through the issues and had the systems operating well until they could get the entire thing fully corrected. They replaced the defective unit with another new unit without being asked (even though the defective unit was repaired, they didn't want to leave me with a "fixed" unit when I paid for new - I didn't have to ask for this they did it on their own). They were very conscientious while working in the house and had no issues working around the dog, they kept their mess to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves when completed. After several less than wonderful experiences with other HVAC companies in the area, I was thrilled to find someone who took pride in their quality of work and did the best they could just because they should. I normally have to stand over folks to get things done correctly, but that was NOT the case here. Called Air Depot on Saturday July 29th because AC unit wasn't cooling and temp in the house was at 82 degrees. Was able to get an appointment for the same day. My tech was Oscar. He was running a little behind but did call and advise he would still be by and provided me with an updated ETA. He arrived and was very friendly. He was very thorough and didn't rush considering it was a little after 7pm. He ran all the necessary tests and found the problem. He even called back on Monday Morning to follow-up and let me know whether or not the replacement part needed is still covered under my warranty. Our A/C stopped working on a Saturday morning in July (temps in high 90s) and Air Depot was recommended to us by another local company who couldn't fit us in quickly, so we took a chance. When the tech arrived, he first told us that the diagnostic fee was $120, but that money would be credited towards any labor for any needed repairs. We agreed and let him go to diagnose the issue. He found the blower motor had gone out and said he had one on his truck but wasn't sure if it was the correct fit. He offered a price around $700 and we agreed. That motor did not fit, so we had to wait until Monday for the correct motor. He gave us a written estimate for $694. He then told us that the $120 fee would NOT be applied to labor since it was a weekend. He left and took our broken motor with him. We didn't feel obligated to use this service since the $120 we paid wasn't going to buy us the labor fees for the repair. This is BAD business practice and I would consider it a bait and switch. We called and insisted he bring the motor back the next day. His answering service said they were closed on Sundays, we threatened to report his license and suddenly he called us back and said he was on a job (supposedly closed on Sunday and he was on a job???) but he did bring our motor back. We called one other company and told them the problem and they had the part and made the whole repair for $255. If we had gone with Air Depot they would have received $570 MORE than this other licensed HVAC service. Also $120 diagnostic fee is much higher than all the other local HVAC companies. The company we used (in business since 1992) doesn't even charge a diagnostic fee. I will never use Air Depot again nor would I recommend them. Stay away from those looking to take advantage of you in a desperate situation. read more
