The service team was able to fit me in same day by putting me on standby. Nick was able to diagnose, stop the leak, inspect that the leak had done no further damage, and ultimately get the water heater working within 5 minutes of his arrival. Better yet, he said it was a simple fix and did not charge me, but just asked that I keep them at the top of my list for my next job! Very friendly and presentable all the way. He also assessed my heater and said I probably had about another two years to go before needing to replace, and gave me a written quote for a new water heater and to replace the saddle valve with an angle stop. The angle stop cost was a bit high, but the water heater replacement was very reasonable (just being fair). I am definitely going to reach out to them for my next plumbing job.

Not only did Green Tech Plumbing check all these boxes, but they also offer fair pricing. A unicorn of a business. After being overcharged and underwhelmed by our previous plumber, I was on the hunt for a capable plumber to install a whole house water filtration system. From the moment I reached out to Green Tech Plumbing, they were nothing but responsive and helpful. I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. Once our system was delivered, I emailed to set up the installation. His team came out the following week for the installation. The tech Kevin sent was just as helpful! He moved the 100-pound tank from the garage to the basement, which wasn't part of their scope. The tech had to make a run to the hardware store to buy connection pieces that weren't included with system, but he knew exactly what to buy and did so in a timely manner. The install was speedy and flawless. The tech was even willing to stay while I called the vendor's water filtration system customer service expert to walk us through the start up process. Because of MY scheduling conflicts, he was the LAST of three quotes I received. But as the saying goes.. "save the best for last". That statement couldn't me more true. I was lucky enough to watch him work and actually TEST what was going on BEFORE telling me how bad of a problem we had. The other two quotes I received saw the problem, tested nothing, and said they needed to excavate and because of that, the price was going to be way more. Their process was..."break the concrete, THEN rod the pipe to see if there's a clog", which would also be an all day job with a team. Andres insisted on rodding the pipe first, and that he'd be done in 20 minutes. He said IF that didn't work, (because he was going to test it again), THEN he would have to break open the concrete. I don't know about you, but that seems like a much more sensible option. He let me watch as he pulled all kinds of debris out of our kitchen stack drain. By the end, he had a nice sized pile, and water was flowing through there like Niagara Falls. He was done in 20 mins, as promised. Since he was there, I asked him if he had time to check our tenant's unit because they were having some drainage issues. He said he was trying to avoid rush hour, so why not? Lucky for us, he fixed another clogged drain, and a leaking pipe that we had no idea about! While we were talking, I asked him if he has a team he works with. His response: "No, I work alone because I don't trust other people to do good work and do it right". He also cleaned up after himself (you'd be surprised, but this is not always the case when people come work in your home), and I insisted on cleaning so he could leave, but he refused.
