Not only is the food spectacular, but the service and attention is outstanding! I ordered through Grub Hub today, and Grub Hub failed to deliver. Royal India however called me to communicate the situation and offered to completely remake my order when Grub Hub was taking too long. When Grub Hub finally cancelled altogether, I drove to Royal India to pick up my order. As the order had been cancelled by Grub Hub, Royal India insisted that I not pay, and the owner even told me he was ready to drive the order to me himself. I've tried every Indian restaurant within a 15 mile radius of the Manchester area for takeout during the last 9 months and always went back to royal india. Goat byriani and saag paneer are good. I also enjoy their mint and tamarind chutney. Don't forget to order a side of their mixed pickle too. read more

If i can give this place a 0 star review i would...when ordering on the phone i made sure an order of chicken masala came with naan bread, guy on the phone was yes it comes with the order. when i got to the restaurant i checked my food and there was no bread i told him i asked him on the phone if the chicken masala came with it and he said the whole restaurant was full and my phone sign was bad so he didn't hear me. keep in mind the restaurant was dead only one person was in there. continued to ask him if i can just get the bread he was so rude and said no i have to pay for it although it was him fault and his confusion. such rude people no manners, never going there again read more

For the first i wish there was an option to give negative rating. I am writing the review sitting in the restaurant. It's been 15 mins and we were not even served water. And after sitting for 30 mins unattended we just walk out of the restaurant hungry. I don't understand how are people impressed by this kind of service. Took my girlfriend here for Biryani & Chicken lollipops a couple times. All of the food is delicious and high quality. Mild actually means mild, which can be a rarity at Indian restaurants. Had a hankering for Indian while up in Manchester from Boston for the NH Democratic convention. So glad I saw this place on yelp because this is top-notch Indian food and far better than most of the Indian Restaurants in the Boston metro area. The Veggie Samosas and Chicken Tikka Masala were great. What really impressed us was the Lamb boti kebab which was cooked and spiced perfectly. The portions were generous and the prices are very fair too. If it wasn't an hour drive, I'd come here often. read more

I have been looking for a new Indian restaurant, this place is wonderful with fantastic customer service. They served papadum as a free appetizer, with excellent onion chutney. I mentioned to my husband that I can never try his food because he orders it too spicy. They overheard me and brought a side of the same dish in mild! Then they packaged extra rice for our leftovers! Prices are reasonable, it is clean and friendly. Very enjoyable dinner! read more

Wife and I on a few occasions a year we are in Manchester together sometimes stop in for Indian buffet lunch. Manchester has at least three restaurants that offer one. After being disappointed in our last try of one on South Willow Street, we tried Royal India also on South Willow (the other one we know of is on Elm St). Royal India not only did not disappoint it was the best we have had in many years. The variety of dishes, varieties of flavors and variety of meats, not all chicken, this chicken that, was fantastic. The service was great, and, as we can recall, the price was not different than the other places. Next time we're both in Manchester, we'll be back to Royal India. read more

Tried their buffet for the first time today. Excellent! I work down the street and we used to regularly go to India Palace for lunch. The food there was ok, but more often than not they would run out of food?? Even the naan took forever to refill. Royal India keeps the buffet stocked. The food is flavorful and well made. I cannot give this place enough stars. Let it be mentioned first, that this is the only place I've ever eaten Indian food from, so my opinion my be biased. I've probably ordered their Chicken Tikka Masala about 10 times in the last month. They have 3 different heat levels (mild, medium and hot) that not only increase in heat level well, but also taste a bit different, for example, the hot option brings out the tomato flavor more than the others. The staff is also super friendly- I thought they closed at 10pm. I called at 9:13 not knowing they had already been closed since 9 and placed an order that they were willing to make and was fresh. I don't recommend doing this, but it goes to show how well they value their customers. read more
