I try to order if I find myself nearby and also appreciate that is one of the few places nearby with decent gobi Manchurian. Lots of vegetarian options. Beware of the dishonest coupon promotions. I actually like the food, but my experience with this restaurant's business practices was terrible. I have now received the same "20% OFF your entire order" promotion multiple times. The email contains a "CLAIM 20% OFF NOW!" button that directs customers to their online ordering platform, clearly implying that the coupon can be redeemed online. The coupon does not work online. When I called, I was told they would only honor the discount if I ordered in person. After I ordered, I discovered that the in-person menu prices were noticeably higher than the online prices. Then what worse? We were kept waiting for about 40 minutes, and the staff was RUDE and dismissive. After comparing the prices, the advertised 20% discount worked out to be only about 5%. A 5% discount is definitely not worth a 40-minute wait and the attitude! This was not a one-time mistake. I recently received the exact same promotion again, tried it again, and once again the coupon did not work online. At this point, I have lost trust in this restaurant's practice. I believe it is a distasteful tactic to get customers committed before they discover the reality. The coupon doesn't work online, so you're told to drive to the restaurant instead. Only after arriving and ordering do you realize the in-person menu prices are higher than the online prices. By then, you've already spent the time and effort to get there. The food is not bad, but given what they did and given how RUDE (getting worse actually) they are! have been to this restaurant 3 times.first two times I gave them benefit of doubt that may be they are understaff or busy but I made the conclusion that their service stinks . They are not bothered how does costumer feel about the service or food. Looks like some non restaurant personnel is running this restaurant with no sense of customer service and their food is below average . Restaurant was empty when I sat down yet it still took 15 minutes for them to take my order or even acknowledge me. They spoke no English and were very soft spoken, so I could barely hear them if they were speaking English. The curtains on the windows were dirty and covered in old food. I ordered the lamb wrap which was ok. Not great but not terrible either. Here's the crazy part, I'm almost certain that the "lamb" was actually beef. When trying to leave i had to holler back to the kitchen where the server had been the entire time i was there so that I could pay. Even then he took his time to come out. My first time here and I enjoyed my food. I ordered Goat Curry and Garlic Naan. It was really good. The garlic naan was amazing. The customer service needs to improve though. He was not friendly, and I felt rushed. He didn't check on us after he served the food. It was clean and sanitary. I will come back and check them out again. read more

Ordered a takeout. 1. Garlic Naan - had to buy 2 portions because one is never enough. Love the garlic butter rubbed on the hot fresh naan. 2. Chicken Tikka Masala - my gf's favorite. Always good, creamy, tomato-y goodness. 3. Goat Curry 2x - I wanna say, this is my favorite! The flavor on this one is beyond phenomenal, especially when ordered on the spicy level. But again, big major complaint, not enough meat, too much curry gravy, that's why I end up ordering two portions. My gf is ok with one order of Chicken Tikka Masala because she's always loved more Naan, and less meat & gravy. I'm not ok with it, but she is. 4. Pulao rice, its a gimmicky move selling this item. I wanted the goat biryani but the prices add up, and its gonna mount up to $80. No way. So I tried getting this one instead of regular basmati rice(which should be a complimentary item once you order 2 entree dishes with bread, BUT NOPE). Back to this item, I'd never get it again. Frozen vegetables, no flavor on the rice, probably not even saffron on this rice. Most likely tumeric for color(judging by the skimp, they probably also fail to provide quality ingredients). Can't say anything about service, its take out. As well as ambiance. The food (meat entrees and bread) is good and flavorful, but then again, portions aren't the price you pay for. This is probably the 2nd time I ordered and was disappointed about the portions. Meat entrees' mostly gravy, not enough meat. It smelled so good, homie came back later that night and took some to go. Definitely Smackin . Although it's not at the heart of Oakland (boarder line San Leandro) it definitely had that Oakland taste, Poppin and Hella Good. We ordered about $26 worth of food. 100% get the butter chicken, it was hella hella saucy and good. The garlic nan over the regular nan for sure. The samosa was good too, I like the dark sauce more, the green one is for spicer folks. Definitely a place I'd come back to get garlic nan and butter chicken. read more

We are inside, ordered upon sitting, came on a Sunday afternoon. Locals eating out with nothing in the car. Park right in front, order upon arrival even if ordering take out. Food: Good quality, fresh and good portions. We got ours hot and served with great presentation. Service: family style but professional, well presented food prepared in a reasonable time. They didn't mind small things like bringing more napkins and swapping plastic cups for glasses. Ambiance: typical American Indian restaurant vibes, loved it! Nice seating, spacious and clean. Price is reasonable compared to other places. I hate they took away the buffet it was a much better price for a couple or party of two outting. Food was decent. We had an incident in parking lot. There is an suv gang that robs luggage. The server warned us to bring all belongings in. I bought our laptop bags in but left suitcase with some two days clothes. My trunk window was smashed and bag taken even though I parked right in front of the restaurant. The gang is operational for years near the Starbucks and this area do not leave any belongings in the car not even trash these idiots will take anything. I ordered the chicken and veggie curry with pita and cucumber salad. The chicken and veggie curry was ordered with mild spice and had some nice punch. The pita was fresh and soft. The sauces complimented the dish well. The cucumber salad provided a nice clean fresh palate cleanser throughout the meal. The online ordering interface is quite tricky and not consistent when putting items in the cart then going back to continue shopping. 4:05pm, placed order for pickup through website. 4:08pm, received an email with confirmation # that the order was received. Email said please allow 25-40 minutes for preparation (PERFECT! I'll pick up the SUV first and grab the food on the way home). 4:30pm, arrived at restaurant to pickup, only to be told that there is no record of my order. Showed them my email confirmation..."but we did not receive your order." OK, showed him my email confirmation again with the itemized food I ordered, just make my food (honest mistake)..."hold on let me call my boss." Wait what?!?!?!. 4:40pm, finally took my order and was told it would be 5-10 minutes. I told them that I would be right out front in a white SUV (implying that the food be brought out to me or he come out to notify me when it was ready), he nodded in acknowledgement. 5:05pm, no food yet. Went in to check...there it was all bagged up ready to go. 3 people just sitting on their rear ends doing nothing starring aimlessly at their phones. Food was nothing special. My husband and I were in the area to pick up Family from the airport, we decided with an hour to wait to go in and try their food. We walked in and looked at their menu lying in the front desk. This restaurant had a large group of about 20 and a couple of other tables towards the back with customers. We were approached by the counter attendant and told him we only had two people to seat. He said we only serve to go, barely speaking English, there were several tables for four for six, and above. We asked we can't sit down again he said to go only. Wow ! It clearly states on their sign dine in / dine out. I would have been patient in ordering but this place gave us not a moments of time. We left. Got the shrimp curry, fish masala, bengan bartha and navratan korma. Came with sides of basmati rice. Everything came earlier than scheduled and the delivery guy followed contact let delivery to the point -- left in the box outside and then rang the doorbell and called my phone to confirm we got it. Food so good! Just the eighth amount of spicyness and large portions with full of flavors. We devoured it all in a couple of sittings! I ordered a large order (over 70 dollars) of food and after waiting 20 minutes past the hour delivery time, were talking an 80 minute wait, and we are ready to dive in when we see there is no rice in the bag... how in the heck am I supposed to eat curry and sagg paneer without rice? I called to see if it was forgotten and I was told they stopped including rice with meals over 6 months ago, which is fine, I understand that. but why not make it clear to patrons that they need to purchase said rice so issues like this doesn't happen. I asked what was I to do now and the woman on the phone tells me, "its not my problem" then proceeds to hang up. Will not be returning to this establishment. What terrible customer service. read more
