This is the worst bar! The dj lady that is bald is rude as hell. She doesnt let u do duets. They skip you all the time and the bartender is bitchy. This place is a fuckin dump! Yes pool table is fun but to give your driver license as lien. After drinking and buzz return the pool balls and not checking the license because we're buzz and tired. After few days you realize dumb bartender (Julianne) doesn't second check licenses upon return and gives you the wrong one. When I pointed out her mistake she got all nasty as if it's our fault. I do not recommend this dump! Julianne is about the rudest bartender as to why I don't tip but only $1 ! GIVE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE ! Now we have to pay DMV just to get a duplicate license! This is one of the few nighttime establishments where you can come in dressed in any type of clothing. The Royal Room is a dive bar that caters to locals as well as those looking for something to do after work or to just hang with a group of friends. The unique part about this bar is that it opens at 6am for those that work graveyard shifts. They will let you go in and out. There are outlets for you to plug your phone in if you run out of juice. There are pool tables, arcades, shuffle boards, places to sit. There is parking in the lot and on the street. Karaoke is decent but song selection must keeup with the times. The bathroom are fine but not easily accessible. Drinks were priced reasonably. The clientele is mainly working class or those looking to spend time with their friends. If you are looking for high class people dressed to impress, this is NOT the place for you. The Royal Room caters to those who are laid back, down to earth and chill. When you come here, you feel like family. This places caters to people in their late 30's/early 40's and above. If you are in your 20's you can still have fun and enjoy yourself pressure free but make sure you bring friends with you. Not really a place for eye candy or anything extra. If you are hungry make sure you grab a bite to eat before you come. FYI there is a King Taco off Lakewood and Alondra as well as a Subway and Taqueria Mexico. If you want something more fancy and top notch you're better off in Long Beach, Fullerton, Anaheim or Buena Park. The bartender was this older brunette lady that was taking a while to acknowledge my presence and when she did she wasn't friendly or polite. we came on karaoke night and the lady moody was moody as heck. She was being rude on the mic and kept skipping people/and or didn't tell you if the song you requested she didn't have. Overall these two chicks sucked. read more

Local bar with neighborhood charm. Best shuffleboard tables in all the land (Thanks Jeff and Tom). 4 well kept pool tables, Darts and Pinball. The drinks are strong and cheap (Thanks Claudia, Illiana, and the Forld Famous Mama Bear!). They offer Karaoke 7 nights a week starting at 8. It keeps the joint rockin! (Shouts to KJ'S B-Moody, Melle Mel, and Ez Eric). Overall the place is cool. My only negative is the general condition of the place. The lady bartender sucks. We had to wait for like 20 minutes just to close out. She doesn't even smile at all like she's pissed.

Must say I had good X's last night. I finally found a bar that has good Karaoke and lots of fun things to do. When I was 1st introduced to the Royal Room I was wearing a green shirt and was ask to remove it or leave. Not knowing at that time I was speaking with the owner nor knowing just how far her reach was. Only thing I do remember is walking into work next day and having my boss rip into my ass for the things that was said. So out of spit because I'm hard headed. I made it a point to go into Royal Room every chance I could. So this lady would know that she didn't intimidate me. :) Not knowing that I would find a place where I felt welcomed and a place where everyone was treated as an equal no matter your job title or the money in your checking account. Rich and Poor, Convict to Cops. All treated the same. When you walk into the Royal Room you left your title at the door. It's a family atmosphere. If you behave yourself that is and if you don't, well you'll feel that too. From that 1st night I had met beautiful people and was helped in more ways then even I will ever know. That was in 2002 the last time I stepped foot into Patty's Bar. This Lady I used to call and was proud to call my Mom. So if you want to have fun, sing, drink, enjoy yourself and feel Welcomed while out and about. I would and still do recommend the Royal Room is the place to be in Bellflower. Miss you Patty. Love this place! Dive bar with Moody as kj makes my night when she sings. Love mama bear and her jokes and the other bartenders have always been nice with me. Their pool tables are only 50 cents so it makes my night. Beer is cheap here and love the ambiance. It's spacious as hell, has an outside patio like a hallway. Still pretty roomy. Parking is ample too since it's in a little plaza. Every time I've been here it's been clean. Even got to see Game 3 world series on a projector here last year, up to the last 18th inning lol. This is not the place to if you want friendly service... But it is if you don't want service at all. My first time here with a friend, and was appalled at the service, or lack there of. You practically have to beg the non attentive bartender, then after she tells you to wait for the fifth ot sixth time, she glares at you and takes your order. Then... After 10 minutes, still no drink? Really? It makes me wonder if the owner even pays attention to all the money he is not making. Sadly, I was there for a few hours, ordered 3 drinks, and only got one. Way to go if you don't want repeat customers. If I could, I wouldn't give any stars. I was not the only one... There were several people complaining about the same problem. To top it off, there were less than 10-15 people there at the bar. I give ZERO RATINGS. I have been coming here for a good long while. Other customers told me after moving from Downey to Bellflower not to come to this place because of a bartender lady named Mama Bear. She's rude ALWAYS looks mad and when on the clock looks bothered by you asking her for a drink when she's either scratching lotto tickets or eating. Yes I saw it but choose to still come by and see. I love shooting pool and singing sometimes. I love Moony!! Great DJ and singer. One night we get there I just wanted to hear music. My hubby signed me up for a song. He sang. He loves to challenge me. Honestly, didn't feel it to sing. This Mama Mad Bear took it the wrong way calling us an "86". What the fxxx???? No bxcch! We are disagreeing not feel like singing that particular song at the time. She kicked us both out. Have our names at cashier but yet don't kick out the PEOPLE who steal and not pay up from pool tournaments. She's probably in on that. As prior customers told me her and her man steal from drunks she kicks out. The old customers tell me she's always rude and pissed off better go to a better spot just down street. I LOVE this bar on certain afternoons. Avoid the bald black midget crackhead woman moody and a bartender named latisse.. They are so rude, the manager sits in the back yelling on the phone to god knows who. They have 3 KJ's I love, steve beth and keith (not even sure if keith is there anymore.) Although Im young Ive become a regular there. The owners are really sweet and I often see them in there and there is a bartender I call Mrs. Hello Kitty, I think her real name is Jennifer. SWEET AS PIE! Anytime I go in on her shift I am served within seconds, she brings in little toys that we all end up playing with, drunk adults will play with ANYTHING and she just makes you feel like a regular even for the first time. The security guards are really nice and welcoming. Although there are a bunch of tweeks that visit and work at this bar, the awesomeness of the non-drug addict staff is so overwhelming it kind of cancels out the trash in the equation.
