It's a small store front located in a strip mall across the street from Century village entrance on Okeechobee Blvd Plenty of parking right in front. I didn't think I'd be disappointed in an Italian sandwich in my life. Two slices of salami, a bunch of thin ham and old lettuce with the sweetest Italian dressing I've ever had. Was not good at all. For a 8$ 6" I would expect it to be better than subway but I honestly would've preferred that. With the quality of this sandwich I would price it at $6 at best. I wouldn't return just based off of the quality of products used. read more

We normally order pub subs for lunch, but after having it so often, we decided to try something different and order from a small business in the area. When I arrived to the plaza I saw the amount of cars and surely did not expect to walk in to a small room FULL of people waiting for their subs. GUYS, lunch time was booming! I ordered via Uber eats and my sub was ready the minute I got there. I must've taken 6-8 minutes to arrive, and they were able to hand it right to me when I walked in. I ordered their Turkey Sub- it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised with the bread, it was like a roll style bread, but everything tasted great and was fresh! Honestly this is my favorite sub shop.. A staple in this community they are only open 9am to 2pm. The plaza its located in is not popular and is hidden. They do not have a dine in option its take out only. They have everything you could want or need to have a great sub/salad lunch. Wide variety of chips, cookies, they also make banana pudding and a cold pasta salads as well as soups! My go to is a turkey sub so simple yet so flavorful with lettuce, tomato, provolone, onion bell peppers and dont forget the olives!! All you need to complete your perfect lunch is a cup of there pink lemonade to wash it all down with. I believe the other thing that makes them different is there bread...it reminds of like a hawaiian roll but better I believe its made locally. I'd been there maybe two minutes and already saw that anyone who spoke kinda slow or was a little indecisive on anything were given eye rolls, sighs and glares. My turn came up and I ordered quickly, made no requests and asked no questions, still got the same treatment from the lady taking the orders. A different person gave me my salad and he seemed a little more relaxed so I dared to ask if utensils were already in the bag....met with a sucking of the teeth and an answer I couldn't hear while he was turning back around. Sounded more like a yeah than a no so I left and hoped for the best. So sorry I bothered this place by being a customer with money to spend. The salad was okay...some browning of the lettuce that most places would not have put in the salad. So this is just a regular sub sandwich...turkey and cheese...nothing fancy. But it was delicious! I believe they make their own bread (dont quote me on that, I could be wrong) and from what the locals tell me, Royal Sandwich has been around since the beginning of time and now I know why they've stayed in business for so long. I heard good things about this place so I wanted to like it. The pros: I liked the bread, it was very fresh. Also, the prices were decent. Cons: I think they might have accidentally added salt to my sub instead of black pepper. There was no black pepper (which I asked for) on my sub and a lot of salt (which I didn't ask for). The sub was very salty, so much that I don't think I would try it again. I heard how filling and packed with toppings the subs were but mine was not overly packed with toppings either. I waited until I got the notification that my order was done and ready for pickup but when I got there it was obvious that they never started my order because I still had to wait. That's not a huge problem because it was lunchtime so I could understand a wait but not after a notification saying it is ready to pickup. I might consider trying it in the future just not anytime soon while this visit is still fresh in my memory. read more
