    Green beans - perfect

Though I've had dinner here several times, I had not yet found my favorite menu item. I am now ready to review - because the stir-fried knife-sliced noodles are it! Great flavor, with wood ear mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and broccoli. I chose beef and it was tender and not fatty. The perfect al dente noodle, just slightly thicker in the middle. Also love that the yummy jasmine tea is served in a ceramic mug (no plastic). Our server was quick and honest about her favorites. Also enjoyed watching the noodles hand-pulled through the large window to the kitchen.

Yummy Chinese in Chamblee! I ordered the Chinese-style spicy chicken ($13.95), steamed pork soup dumplings (6 for $9.45), and chicken stir-fried hand-pulled noodles ($15.45). The spicy chicken was delicious--it reminded me of dry Szechuan chicken. It was super flavorful with a nice crispy texture. The soup dumplings were a little lackluster. The flavor was pretty bland, and I wish the pork filling had more seasoning. The dumpling texture was also slightly chewy... not my favorite. The chicken stir-fried noodles were similar to chicken lo mein. The flavor was good, and you could tell the noodles were handmade. They were just really long, which made them a bit hard to eat. Overall, the food was good, and I'd come back to try more from the menu!

This place did not disappoint. Decor is cute, service is attentive. The food was flavorful and came out quickly. I got the hand pulled noodles stir fry with chicken with cumin and moderate spice level. The chicken was perfectly cooked the spices were well balanced. I will definitely be back. Might be the best noodles I have had in Atlanta

Years after our first visit we decided to try LanZhou Ramen one more time to see if our experience would be any better than before. Unfortunately it was identical and we decided not to go back again. Service was attentive but at the end felt rushed with a server consistently walking up to our table looking for us to pay while we were still eating. Food quality is just not very good. The stir fried noodles were soggy and extremely bland. The broth in the beef soup was bland. The only star of the meal were the thick hand pulled noodles in the broth. Besides those, we were underwhelmed and left disappointed. There's a pretty good new pulled noodle spot near Decatur that we will choose to go to instead.

We came here for some delicious food la on our tour along Beaufort Highway. This was stop number two. I wanted the hand pulled noodles. Never knew a place like this could be affiliated with Michelin Star, but it was! They have a window where you can watch them hand pull the noodles if you want. I got the chicken noodles spicy. They give you so much food I had 2 meals worth to bring home! I was in heaven! Their own fried dumplings were fantastic too! Nice and crispy!

The food was amazing here authentic flavorful. The people were just awesome. My kids were watching the noodle bean stretch life in person and then we ate it so fun, friendly, friendly friendly I would give it six stars if I could.

Lanzhou Ramen is a Chinese noodle place in Buford highway. I had their oxtail handpulled noodle soup and their lamb burger. The oxtail bone was thinly sliced and the portion was pretty decent. What stood out to me was actually the lamb burger. I found it to be the perfect amount of crisp and the perfect amount of dough!

Decent family-run ramen spot with Chinese cuisine. The chicken stir fry hand pulled noodles And fried potsticker chicken dumplings were delicious! Medium spicy for the noodles was just enough of a kick and very smooth. The crusted dumplings were a special look. The green beans were perfectly steamed and very good. Stay away from the duck ramen, not particularly flavorful. Service was good and prompt. We got a high chair for the baby. Large restaurant that can be noisy when it fills up with people coming in and out for deliveries.

Great food in Doraville. We loved the pork fried rice, spicy chicken, stir fried bokchoy and soup dumpling. We also tried the beef hand pulled noodle soup which they are known for. They were all tasty and service was fast. Prices were also reasonable. Now I see why they were Michelin recommended in Atlanta.

Was recommended this through by Atlanta Parent & I am so so glad we found it. Our toddler loved watching the noodles get made in the window, & everything was so perfectly seasoned. Texture was impeccable. Ordered: the hot oil chicken noodles, chicken dumplings, & chicken hand pulled noodles. Cannot recommend enough.

Lovely swift service. This spot was just okay. Great portion of noodles but I feel like it's just way too much. There's not the best balance in the food I feel. The seafood in my soup was decent not enough flavor. My husband and I were pretty hungry this night but yet we didn't finish our food it just wasn't to die for. We also ordered the pan fried dumplings and I think they were better than the noodles we ordered. The ambience was pretty calm despite them having people in and out. I like how they kept the place spotless and accommodated everyone who came in. Overall nice experience just not a go to for noodles.

It won't blow your mind but it will make your heart happy if you love beef noodle soup. Love the chewiness to the noodles and the broth base is solid. Is it worth traveling out to Doraville for? - If you live within a 30 minute drive or you've never had hand-pulled noodles before, yeah, it's worth trying at least once. - If you live farther away or you live in Duluth where you've got options for this kind of thing, probably not. - If Midtown Atlanta is closer to you, I'd recommend checking out Xi'An Gourmet House. Not quite the same thing, but they do hand-pulled noodles pretty well there. On the noodle soup: - BBQ isn't the way to go: There's a difference between BBQ joints that do BBQ noodle soup and noodle joints that do BBQ noodle soup, and this is definitely the latter. The roast duck in the noodle soup was less crispy and more fatty than I would've hoped. - The other proteins (we tried tripe and the traditional beef noodle soup) were much better. Not everything on the menu is equally good but we'll be back!

I have seen this place a thousand times but never stopped by. I am glad I finally gave them a try. I ordered the Beef soup with hand pulled noodles. This is very similar to Pho. There is a small sauce station on every table that has oyster sauce, soy sauce, and chili oil. The food is great and the service is great.

Are all the soup broths spicy or can it be non spicy (for kids)?

    Soup broth is not spicy

    Is the meat served halal?

No, but their lamb is probably from New Zealand

Hello, I would like to know if you are serving any halal food?

Their lamb might be halal , but probably cross contiminated with chicken/beef

    Do they sell gift certificates?

Sorry, no. But we will do it in next couple months.

Does LanZhou serve any vegetarian or vegan ramen?

They have some dish call vegetable and egg soup noodle. But I think the soup itself has meat based.

The short, thin hostess at the front repeatedly rolled her eyes behind our backs while seating us. I didn't notice it at the time, but our friend pointed it out towards the end of our meal, and it left a very negative impression. Our server was also inattentive. He checked on nearly every table around us multiple times but rarely came by ours. We ordered over $150 worth of food for just the two of us, yet received very little service. Despite that, we still left a 20% tip. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing as well. A lot of the food arrived cold. The quality and taste were nowhere near as good as what we remembered from previous visits. After giving this restaurant multiple chances, we can confidently say we will not be returning.

You may not be able to park right up front next to the door. I want to say first and foremost the spot has a really good happy hour situation. So you want to take a look at that happy hour menu. You can get a lot for a little when you go. I think I did too much that day LOL! But the happy hour is really good. You can see the stuff that I got below. The service was actually pretty good and was fast so I didn't wait a whole long time to get my food and everybody was really cool and friendly. Brussel sprouts - The brussel sprouts were okay. They came temporary style so they were fried and battered. I'm pretty sure those are ranch dressing that went along with them, or maybe the sauce for the fries was that and sauce, I'm not sure. But they were okay. But I wouldn't rush back to them necessarily. Crispy chicken - The crispy chicken was decent. It came in very large chunks of chicken, kind of like smaller chicken tenders. Nothing out of the box though. They were only so seasoned, nothing got to make your mouth explode LOL Beef chashu bowl - This bowl was good. Kind of reminds me of that. I'm getting your beef kind of flavor. It's basically a rice bowl if you traded the ramen and the broth for rice. And you have that beef and the egg and a couple of other accompaniments, but it's really good or very far too. I kind of a brown sugar teriyaki kind of blend and if you want to know the flavor profile. Spicy chicken ramen - was good. I got it spicy but it's another level above that. If you want more heat. It comes with two chicken in it, and plenty of very good news. The broth is super savory and it will make you tingle a little bit LOL. French fries - The fries are shoestring fries and they're okay. They tell me the sauce. I'm not sure what it is though. But they are decent, nothing pretty out of the box. Even though it's a chain, the ramen is totally worth it.

Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah…read more Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

It's an asian restaurant food that offers seating inside and outside. Once we entered we were seated immediately and handed menus. Their menus are super cool and unique and are a bit overwhelming but nevertheless full of so much variety. The waitress was very sweet and checked in on us periodically and helped us fill out our sheet to place our order. We ordered a plethora of stuff such as crispy bulgogi bao buns, brushed sprouts, steamed dumplings, mango chicken and a noodle plate. Food didn't take long for it to come out on their little robot and staff helped put everything on the table. Everything smelled and looked amazing so it was tough to decide what to taste first! I first tried the crispy bao bun and was blown away by the flavor it had! It was like a mini burger. After that I tried the steamed dumplings and they were so yummy and specially with the sauce. Next I tried the Brussels sprouts and they were necessary my cup of tea but still good! Just wouldn't order again. Second to last thing I tried the mango chicken and man was it good!!! Full of the best aroma and flavor and cooked to perfection. The plating was also gorgeous as well!! We finished off with mango sticky rice and It was good but I do wish it had more mango to help the ratio. Overall, it was a really good visit and I was excited to try it out. It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper

The Samurai Roll was substantial and I appreciate the generosity of the roll. It was topped with salmon, and usually when rolls are topped with fish, it's usually a pretty thin slice of fish, but these slices of salmon were quite thick in my opinion. The pieces of sushi themselves are also fairly thick - it was a big bite for me to eat each piece in one. If you are close to Buford Hwy you should try this place. They have parking for a few cars right in front, a smallish restaurant inside with a full sushi bar. Their menu is pretty comprehensive and includes fried rice, noodles, sushi rolls, sashimi, soups etc. As we were a large group we ordered a bunch of things. Most of the entrees are served with a salad and soup making it quite the meal. We ordered the sashimi appetizer, the pork gyoza, shrimp shumai, omelette, combination fried rice, B-52 roll, sunrise roll, crunchy roll I think. Sashimi was fresh - yellowtail, tuna, salmon. The gyoza was delicious and table favorite Honestly, I even enjoyed the pork belly omelette. So flavorful... The fried rice was cooked well but was missing some seasoning/salt. Otherwise good. The rolls were great and we selected ones that had some spice. My favorite was the sunrise roll - a little crunchy inside yet with a slight kick. The staff felt a little overwhelmed with our group but they were polite and helpful. Food was prices reasonably and worth it (for the portion sizes).
