Yummy Chinese in Chamblee! I ordered the Chinese-style spicy chicken ($13.95), steamed pork soup dumplings (6 for $9.45), and chicken stir-fried hand-pulled noodles ($15.45). The spicy chicken was delicious--it reminded me of dry Szechuan chicken. It was super flavorful with a nice crispy texture. The soup dumplings were a little lackluster. The flavor was pretty bland, and I wish the pork filling had more seasoning. The dumpling texture was also slightly chewy... not my favorite. The chicken stir-fried noodles were similar to chicken lo mein. The flavor was good, and you could tell the noodles were handmade. They were just really long, which made them a bit hard to eat. Overall, the food was good, and I'd come back to try more from the menu!

We came here for some delicious food la on our tour along Beaufort Highway. This was stop number two. I wanted the hand pulled noodles. Never knew a place like this could be affiliated with Michelin Star, but it was! They have a window where you can watch them hand pull the noodles if you want. I got the chicken noodles spicy. They give you so much food I had 2 meals worth to bring home! I was in heaven! Their own fried dumplings were fantastic too! Nice and crispy!

Lanzhou Ramen is a Chinese noodle place in Buford highway. I had their oxtail handpulled noodle soup and their lamb burger. The oxtail bone was thinly sliced and the portion was pretty decent. What stood out to me was actually the lamb burger. I found it to be the perfect amount of crisp and the perfect amount of dough!

Years after our first visit we decided to try LanZhou Ramen one more time to see if our experience would be any better than before. Unfortunately it was identical and we decided not to go back again. Service was attentive but at the end felt rushed with a server consistently walking up to our table looking for us to pay while we were still eating. Food quality is just not very good. The stir fried noodles were soggy and extremely bland. The broth in the beef soup was bland. The only star of the meal were the thick hand pulled noodles in the broth. Besides those, we were underwhelmed and left disappointed. There's a pretty good new pulled noodle spot near Decatur that we will choose to go to instead.

Decent family-run ramen spot with Chinese cuisine. The chicken stir fry hand pulled noodles And fried potsticker chicken dumplings were delicious! Medium spicy for the noodles was just enough of a kick and very smooth. The crusted dumplings were a special look. The green beans were perfectly steamed and very good. Stay away from the duck ramen, not particularly flavorful. Service was good and prompt. We got a high chair for the baby. Large restaurant that can be noisy when it fills up with people coming in and out for deliveries.

Great food in Doraville. We loved the pork fried rice, spicy chicken, stir fried bokchoy and soup dumpling. We also tried the beef hand pulled noodle soup which they are known for. They were all tasty and service was fast. Prices were also reasonable. Now I see why they were Michelin recommended in Atlanta.

It won't blow your mind but it will make your heart happy if you love beef noodle soup. Love the chewiness to the noodles and the broth base is solid. Is it worth traveling out to Doraville for? - If you live within a 30 minute drive or you've never had hand-pulled noodles before, yeah, it's worth trying at least once. - If you live farther away or you live in Duluth where you've got options for this kind of thing, probably not. - If Midtown Atlanta is closer to you, I'd recommend checking out Xi'An Gourmet House. Not quite the same thing, but they do hand-pulled noodles pretty well there. On the noodle soup: - BBQ isn't the way to go: There's a difference between BBQ joints that do BBQ noodle soup and noodle joints that do BBQ noodle soup, and this is definitely the latter. The roast duck in the noodle soup was less crispy and more fatty than I would've hoped. - The other proteins (we tried tripe and the traditional beef noodle soup) were much better. Not everything on the menu is equally good but we'll be back!

I have seen this place a thousand times but never stopped by. I am glad I finally gave them a try. I ordered the Beef soup with hand pulled noodles. This is very similar to Pho. There is a small sauce station on every table that has oyster sauce, soy sauce, and chili oil. The food is great and the service is great.

Food Order the A22 Oil pouring spicy hand pulled noodles. I order this every time I go and it has never disappointed me. I'll bring new people here and let them try mines and they wished they had ordered it. It is a broth less noodle dish packed with crazy amounts of flavor. I add chili oil to it as well but it's not necessary. The noodles have great texture and they give good amount of protein. I recently tried the tasty potato shredded, pig ear in chili oil, steamed soup dumplings, and steamed pork buns. They were all good but the only thing worth mentioning out of them was how huge the steamed soup dumplings were. Although big, the skin was still thin. Service It's about average. They will offer suggestions if you'd like and are accommodating for large groups. Ambiance This is a no frills place. They have a window into the kitchen where you can watch your hand pulled noodles being made.

Delicious noodles! Wonderfully chewy and al dente! We ordered their stir fried hand pulled noodles, stir fried knife cut noodles, chive pancake, and fried buns. Everything was delicious. I do prefer the hand pulled noodles to the knife cut- they are much thicker and chewier. Buns were solid as were the chive pancakes. I have also tried the hand pulled noodles in soup and the fried dumplings. Everything has been delicious! I like how you can watch them make the noodles through the window in the back. Service is pretty fast and I will most definitely return! Small note though: I have come here ~10 times and each time they were so consistent until the most recent visit... My typical order- the stir fried hand pulled noodles were over cooked and a tad mushy (most certainly not the chewy texture I crave). However, the staff was kind enough to replace my dish and my new plate of noodles was perfect!

Hand-pulled noodles is where it's at! Stopped by for the first time this week and was incredibly satisfied with my meal. I had the beef soup with thin noodles and soup dumplings. I've been craving good soup dumplings and these did not disappoint. They were on the bigger side for a soup dumpling, but that did not stop me. The soup inside was flavorful and so were the dumplings. The noodle soup also had a good flavor. I enjoyed adding a little chili oil that was on the table for a slight kick. These noodles were amazing. When I ordered "thin" I was hoping I could still enjoy the hand pulled texture and I did. They had that chewiness that only hand made noodles have. As an extra bonus, you can watch them making the noodles through a little window at the back of the restaurant. Service was friendly and efficient. I hope to return to try more things on the menu.

I don't usually like noodles but it tasted fine for what it was. They are known for homemade hand pulled noodles. My friends loved their food. This is just not my thing. Great casual spot to catch up w friends. Service was not that great since they forgot to provide utensils and doesn't come back to check on us.

Their noodles have been raved about by so many people that I couldn't imagine they would live up to the hype, but they definitely did. They had the perfect chew to them. The vegetables were nice to add some nutrition. The scallion pancakes were standard and nothing special. I really didn't need to get them. I had no idea the noodles would be enough to feed two, but they are! The service is minimal, but they have such a loyal following so I don't think it matters.

Are all the soup broths spicy or can it be non spicy (for kids)?

    Soup broth is not spicy

    Is the meat served halal?

No, but their lamb is probably from New Zealand

Hello, I would like to know if you are serving any halal food?

Their lamb might be halal , but probably cross contiminated with chicken/beef

    Do they sell gift certificates?

Sorry, no. But we will do it in next couple months.

Does LanZhou serve any vegetarian or vegan ramen?

They have some dish call vegetable and egg soup noodle. But I think the soup itself has meat based.

So I love this spot. It did not miss. There were some things that I would have liked but it was so…read moregood that I don't even bother with that. It's still gonna get a five-star rating from me. It's in a shopping center area in Dora Ville so there's no paid parking. It's a free lot but around that specific part of the building it may be packed but there's parking everywhere. You'll come in and the outside of the building looks drastically different from the inside because inside it looks very rustic Japanese decor. You'll find a lot of wood and a lot of decorations that go to that time period but still great, still very nice and appeasing to look at. The staff was super patient with me and that definitely made me nod my head to the customer service. I needed more time for some things and they were patient. They kept my glass full and I was also very appreciated, especially with that hot spicy soup that I got lol. Super great staff. Spicy gyoza soup - so the soup was really good. My only thing was the fact that they brought it out hotter than lava lol. You will need another bowl there so that you could eat the soup and hopefully it'll cool down because you don't want it to burn through your mouth. The flavor in there was really good and the dumplings in there were great. Ooba maki (delicious pork roll) - so you get a few of these on a skewer and you get two skewers of meat and it was really good. You can taste the distinct pork flavor and it was seasoned very well. You don't really get the leaves, which is what it's wrapped in, but I guess you wouldn't taste that. No this was a really good snack and it's just enough for an appetizer to get you hungry. Yakitori Chicken - this is a go-to no. If it's this type of Japanese spot, I'm going to get the Yakitori. It comes on a couple of skewers and it was very flavorful. I got my teriyaki style but this was a hit. It's very simple but it's direct. Scallop and bacon - the scallop and bacon was really good. Like everything else it came on a few skewers and you get a few pieces on the skewers. It was actually really tasty and I would get it again. The only thing is the bacon kind of overshadowed everything else but bacon does that so I can't hold that against them. Miso Pork belly - the pork belly was okay. I don't want to say that like it was bad because it was actually really good but of the other things this might have been the thing that was the most decent. It wasn't necessarily because of the flavor per se. It was more so that some of the consistency was a little weird. Not in a bad way because I would order it again but it just felt like you have part of it that was melting in your mouth. The other part was a little bit more chewy than it needed to be but that could be for any reason. It was still good. Vegetable tempura - the vegetable tempura was okay. It came with very large vegetables and it came with a sauce that had a little sweetness to it. It kind of tried to balance out with the deep-fried food and the sweet on the side. Atsigiti bacon - The bacon was okay. It really was just as they cut bacon so it really wasn't anything special or major about it. But it got quite a bit of the in the bowl. Chicken wasabi - The chicken lasagna is basically the chicken yakitori with wasabi sauce drizzle. If that don't get me wrong. The chicken is always good but some really creep up on you here LOL. It was a solid choice. Pork belly - the pork belly was good.... I got it teriyaki style. When I got it the first time I got the miso styles but both of it was actually really good. Honestly, there's not a whole lot of difference except for the only sweetness but it's still great. Overall I will 102% be coming back to this kind of spot. The fact that it's closer than my other spot, which is in Midtown, really is a plus for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the time here.

The service was actually pretty good and was fast so I didn't wait a whole long time to get my food and everybody was really cool and friendly. Brussel sprouts - The brussel sprouts were okay. I kind of a brown sugar teriyaki kind of blend and if you want to know the flavor profile. Spicy chicken ramen - was good. I got it spicy but it's another level above that. If you want more heat. It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper

TLDR: get the salmon oyako don…read more Usually only get the special rolls here (sunset roll) because of the 20% off deal on Thursday - Saturday, but was craving a salmon bowl. Definitely a winner, salmon was very fresh and serving was very big. Also got an ochazuke which was refreshing and flavorful! Tasted kinda like a more savory genmaicha with salmon inside. I already come here pretty often and will definitely be adding the salmon bowl into my rotation. I think it's better than the one at shoya, and with a much better wait.

This place delivers with good sushi and sashimi!…read more We decided to check this place out this weekend based on the reviews and proximity to everyone. If you are close to Buford Hwy you should try this place. They have parking for a few cars right in front, a smallish restaurant inside with a full sushi bar. Their menu is pretty comprehensive and includes fried rice, noodles, sushi rolls, sashimi, soups etc. As we were a large group we ordered a bunch of things. Most of the entrees are served with a salad and soup making it quite the meal. We ordered the sashimi appetizer, the pork gyoza, shrimp shumai, omelette, combination fried rice, B-52 roll, sunrise roll, crunchy roll I think. Sashimi was fresh - yellowtail, tuna, salmon. The gyoza was delicious and table favorite Honestly, I even enjoyed the pork belly omelette. So flavorful... The fried rice was cooked well but was missing some seasoning/salt. Otherwise good. The rolls were great and we selected ones that had some spice. My favorite was the sunrise roll - a little crunchy inside yet with a slight kick. The staff felt a little overwhelmed with our group but they were polite and helpful. Food was prices reasonably and worth it (for the portion sizes).

5/23/25 Update (bad customer service):…read more We came back here once again as we are regulars here now. We came for the AYCE hot pot with our 3 year old as always. The Chinese lady waitress that has helped us before helped us today. She doesn't speak any English and doesn't ever acknowledge us. She didn't speak at all the entire time. I had to ask for tongs and crackers for the snow crab. She never bothered to check on us or fill my broth throughout while we were dining. We always tipped her and the staff well above 20%. The male Asian waiter didn't say anything to us as well and never checked on us. They might want to rethink their customer service and waiter skills and at least check on their customers especially their regulars. As always on a Friday night, there wasn't many other tables around. When we got our bill, my hands were full and I didn't check but apparently they never asked us how old are baby was and went ahead and charged him $10. Our 3 year old was always free here. By the time we paid and it was too late. The Chinese lady waitress was very rude when my wife was pulling out her cash tip and just stood there and waited for her to put the tip down. Never in our life, we had a waitresss stand there like that. My wife still gave us a more than generous tip as she definitely did not deserve it at all. They may want to retrain these employees as this really put a super sour experience. I don't plan on coming back for a long time if ever.
