The owner is very sweet and does a great job! She has altered my flight attendant uniforms and a bridesmaid dress. She squeezed me in for the bridesmaid dress even though she was really busy. I had both kids with me and she entertained them while I put my dress on and even helped me out to the car with them. Love her!! read more

I will not give this business even 1 star. They would have gotten at least that had the lady been polite and not so rude about be being unhappy w her work. I was told that the result would be one thing and when I picked up my pants (which belonged o a $1000 Hugo Boss suit) the result was completely different than I was promised. Upon pointing this out, the lady was extremely rude and denied ever saying that she could complete what i asked. My pants, in my opinion, are no more than pants to wear to work. I feel I cannot even wear these pants to a nice function any longer. Please save your money and take you items to a formal wear place. I wish I would have done this but knew know better being that I am brand new to the area. I want my money back! read more

Had a bridesmaid dress that #1: I waited until the last minute to get and #2: didn't fit in the bust. I took it in Friday evening and by Tuesday it fit PERFECTLY. Magically a dress that I couldn't zip up for like a glove. Super friendly staff. I'll use them again for sure. read more

Excellent service while I was here, I brought in 2 pairs of work pants that were a flared style, and since I no longer work in a lab that requires work boots I wanted to turn them into skinny pants. Dropping the pants off was a very quick process, which is I think where there was a minor miscommunication - really neither party's fault, the woman working there thought I wanted a boot cut straight pant when I really wanted something that was a skinny jeans cut. When I came to pick up the pants and tried them on, realizing it wasn't what I wanted I politely let her know and she immediately offered to fix it, assuring me there was no extra charge since it was a miscommunication. I made sure to clarify what I was looking for and I just now I picked them up, exactly what I wanted. I went to pay and asked if I could add my tip onto the amount, but she had already entered my price into the system without the tip. She kept insisting that I didn't need to tip her but she did such a great job I went and grabbed some cash. Very humble and respectful, I'll definitely come back here the next time I need something else tailored. $25 for each pair of pants, the most fair price I found within city limits and a good cost to upcycle some well-loved pants. read more

Definitely my favorite tailor in Dallas! Great service, quality, and pricing. I take all of my suits, dress pants, shirts, and blazers here and sometimes even old ones that I've had tailored elsewhere that didn't turn out like I wanted and she fixes them right up and makes them perfect. As a skinny & short guy, it's hard to find a tailor that will make my suits fit tighter like I like & request them, but Royal Tailor does and does it perfectly! I highly recommend! read more

I had work pants and some jeans hemmed- the pants were fine but my jeans were a total mess- I asked to have the original hem put back on but that didnt happen, now it looks like I have high-waters on bc the hem bows out- and they were expensive jcrew jeans. I needed a dress shortened for an event and read that prices were good here so I decided to drop off my dress. While the seamstress was pinning up the hem she suggested the top was a little loose though I hadn't really noticed. When she asked if I wanted it taken in I shrugged. Sure what was an extra little snip? My mistake was not asking for a quote before agreeing to any of this and in hindsight kind of weird that she didn't offer any information regarding price. Turned out the total was the same I paid for the dress (I got it on sale but still). I really couldn't do anything but pay. Definitely would've shopped around to compare prices had I known. Though the hem eneded up being a tad too long even with heels, she did a good job leaving the bottom even hence the 4 stars. Lesson/tldr: ask for price quote before agreeing to anything or you'll get burned. read more

I had a weightlifting singlet that needed some stitching reparations prior to an upcoming meet, and not only did she take care of me for a reasonable price, but she got it done and it looks just as good as new. For the few and far between things I'll need tailored, I will be coming here. read more

I was extremely nervous about finding a tailor, because I have a bridesmaid dress for a wedding later this month and there was a bunch of work that needed to be done. I hadn't used a Dallas tailor in general and some other places had some scary reviews. I took the dress into Royal Tailors and within a week they had the work done and it turned out PERFECT! I'm extremely impressed and am proud to say I have found my go-to tailor! I was in a bind yesterday. I had a brand new pair of pants with a broken zipper and really wanted to wear them out last night. I didnt have time to drop them off before work so i took a chance and searched for a nearby tailor and low and behold, found this place with good reviews. I stopped in at 4:15 (on a Friday) and explained my predicament to the nice woman who greeted me. She said she could either repair the zipper or replace it entirely. She asked if I could come back at 5:00. I can't tell you how pleased I was to hear she was so willing to get this turned around so quickly! I expressed my gratitude and at 4:55 she presented me with my new pants and a new zipper. She also pressed them. I'm extremely grateful and thrilled to have found this place. When I first moved to Dallas two years ago, I sampled about five different tailors along Inwood, Lemmon, and Oak Lawn before settling on Royal Tailors as my favorite. I come here once every two weeks, and I highly recommend it! I trust the owner with every shirt, dress, or skirt I want taken in (I've probably brought her 30 or so articles of clothing in the past year), and she does a fantastic job every time. I've never had any issues with the timing (if I need something done quickly, even within a day, she is very accommodating, but usually the turn-around is 1 week), and my clothes fit PERFECTLY afterward. Prices are also very affordable for a student like me- between $10 and $20 to take in a skirt or dress, depending on the lining and materials. read more

I never thought I'd actually take time out of my day to write a review, but I want everyone to be cautious when doing business here. I have been coming to Royal Tailors for some time now, and I have never had a problem until now. I brought a pair of suit pants to have the waist taken in. I believe the normal price for this is $10 or $12, can't remember. Anyways, I needed them the next day for an event. She said she can have them done in a couple of hours, but it would cost more. I expected this. She first said it'd be $20, paused, then said it'd be $25. I agreed, and I came back a couple of hours later to pick them up. I arrived and tried them on. I noticed around the zipper area, the pants were sticking out. I figured the pants were bunched up, and it just needed to be slightly ironed down. I paid the $25 and attempted to iron the crotch area down the next morning. It did not work. Lucky for me, my jacket was able to cover it. I took them in the next day and she noticed a snitching was missing and that's the reason why the crotch area was bulging out. She said it wouldn't be a problem to fix. After the normal week turn around, I went to pick them up today. She said that be $10. First of all, she charged me 2.5 times the normal rate for incomplete work. Then, she tries to charge me $10 to complete it. I explained everything to which she says the snitching was never there. Maybe if I gave her the normal week to work on it rather than 2 hours, I could have gotten what I paid for. I will NEVER go back. I will NEVER refer anybody. If you plan on doing business here, just be very careful she doesn't try to screw you over. That's all I got I guess. read more
