Bait and switch con artists. Like most repair companies, they state they have a $79.00 diagnostic fee. The guy fiddles with the washer and says it's a plumbing issue and he can't fix it. He hands me an invoice for $158! He says he inspected and diagnosed. Hell to the "no!" How many elderly, disabled, non-native ESL and gullible people does this company overcharge on a daily basis. This is intentional fraud and I will be reporting this to relevant authorities. They have some pleased customers but make sure you read the various low ratings for yourself. The owner of never accepts responsibility and the customer is always wrong. Here, I have my housekeeper as a witness and a receipt that charges $158, which is then crossed out and entered as $79. Update: the company owner is quite honest and nice. He called and apologized. He did that the employee worked for the company only 5 days and never should have done that and he would be disciplined. We called on a Saturday and they came the same day. Our dryer was no longer producing heat to dry our clothes. It turns out the thermostat no longer worked. They replaced the thermostat, and were also extremely thorough, checking out every other part of the dryer. They revealed a part that we were unaware of, hidden behind the back panel that needed to be cleaned out. They cleaned it out for us. They checked to make sure everything else was working. They also advised us of the best settings so that the dryer will last longer and require fewer repairs. They also patiently waited while we loaded wet clothes from the washer into the dryer to test the dryer. In fact, they suggested we do so to make sure that the repairs were successful. Arman came in I am diagnosed our problem very quickly on our washing machine he gave us a fair price and was even patient while we found out whether we have insurance coverage or not on it this week home we came right back out the parts and install it and we no longer have any leaks very pleased with the work that he did he was very clean and effective!! I was very honest when I called this repair company and they were not only rude but very sleezy and unprofessional. Being unemployed and a single mom, I already did some research on Youtube and knew that one of three thing was causing my dryer not to heat up. Apparently dryers are not hard to fix on your own. I was honest and asked them to come to diagnose the problem for me and then, I would attempt to fix it myself, to avoid of the cost of repair which I could not afford. They also operate under different names because they revealed that their other name is also Altadena Appliance Repair - which has very bad reviews on yelp. Many repair companies operate under different names to avoid the reviews they actually deserve. They knew that there was a good chance that I could accomplish the repair myself so they refused to come out to diagnose the problem, even though I was completely willing to pay their diagnostic fee. I have a built-in refrigerator that was not working and I called Michael. He was very honest on the phone but said he need to come out and check it. To my surprise he came that day and when he gave me a timeframe he called me 15 minutes out to tell me he was coming which I think is very considerate. Easy, helpful and friendly. The compressor and fan stopped working on our refrigerator on Easter weekend. Michael and David came out very quickly and thoroughly inspected my fridge when the water dispenser in the freezer door stopped working. I'm not savvy about this stuff so they could've told me it was something super expensive like replacing the whole filtration unit, but they narrowed it down to the microswitch and paddle assembly. They were super apologetic that they didn't have the part in the truck, but it's a 7-year-old fridge so I didn't expect them to have it. They had to try a number of suppliers, but they tracked down the part, got it sent as fast as possible, and came back at my convenience to finish the repair. The best part about this company is that they are Owner/Operator and not a subcontractor. Many of the companies you may call for appliance repair farm the work out. Therefore, subcontractors have to jack up the prices to make their profits because a percentage of the price they quote you goes right back to the company that contracted them. Royal Touch doesn't have that overhead so they have the flexibility to give you the best price available. Highly recommend. read more

These guys are great! Our oven stopped working a couple of months ago and with the height of the pandemic happening, ordering food or purchasing a new oven was just a financial and logistic impossibility for us. I had called multiple places and they were either going to charge me an arm and a leg just for the service call or they didn't return my call. These guys came out the following day and were able to repair the control board in the oven. They were sure to wear masks and were so kind and courteous. I don't recall the last time I had cleaned out under our oven and apologized for the mess they might find. They went above and beyond and cleaned up that mess. Our oven gave us an error last night as I went to go make dinner and wouldn't turn on. I called and again, not only did they answer the call but they were here this afternoon to fix it. Again, they were just as nice, courteous, and so helpful. This time it was the temperature probe that wasn't working right. They were able to quickly fix the issue and were in and out within ten minutes. They made sure to put everything back as they found it and were even kind to my high maintenance cat who refused to leave them alone. Sunday 11-12-17, trying to dry clothes before i go to work for the night $@#!, dryer is not working... finagle with it some more even called my wife for a new set of eyes to look at it but to no avail... went to work worried about the $$$ to fix or even worse buy a new one... this thing was a year and a half old... My Kitchen-Aid dishwasher is barely 3 years old, when the drain pump started making rattling sounds when it drained. I knew that meant the drain pump wasn't functioning right and would eventually need to be fixed. Then my roommate washed a meal sports bottle that was NOT dishwasher safe, and all the paint peeled off the bottle and plugged up the drain pump. Really messy, and impossible to clean out the damage on my own, finally time for repairs. I called Kitchen-Aid to see who in the area they recommended to fix it, and they recommended Royal Touch Appliance Repair. Two gentlemen from came the next day to repair it, and actually called and came by two hours before my appointment time, since they were nearby. They confirmed that the drain pump was indeed destroyed from paint, and replaced it in about 1.5 hours. I was charged for the part, and a service fee. All work was speedy, very tidy, and they wore face coverings and keep social distance the entire time. Good experience. Fast forward 3 weeks, and the dishwasher suddenly isn't draining again. Curious to what is now going wrong, since there was no rattling during the drain cycle, I called Royal Touch again to see if they can come by and take a look, and see if there was an issue with the new drain pump. They came the next day, same two gentlemen as before, and quickly discovered a small black plastic shard was blocking the drain pipe. I have NO clue where the shard came from, but I'm suspecting something that wasn't dishwasher safe is the culprit yet again, happening sometime in the three weeks since they replaced the pump. So technically a new problem? However, since it was within 30 days of the first call, they were generous, and fixed the problem without charging me another service fee. They were good to explain all the problems, and make sure I felt the work was done well. Clean and quick, with great response time.
