We were seated at tables while the different wines we introduced, along with some great history and a little humor. After this program we moved to another room where we could taste a variety of wines, using the little bag of wooden tokens. Next came another tasting red wines, followed by the whites. All in all, a well orchestrated and well planned experience. We will return to pick up our new Futures purchase - but definitely will return before that occasion - during warm weather so we can sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

The ceremony space had a huge skylight and a large window where the couple stood enabling you to see the stone bridge, rock fountains, etc. so much beauty!! After the ceremony we were directed to "The Chantilly" room and the display and selection of appetizers knocked my socks off! There was a salad station- cold area with cheese, crackers, fresh fruit, roasted beets, salmon, caprese salad and much much more! There was an Italian station w pasta, meatballs, sausage, pizza, then carved pork and skirt steak area, lots of seafood and even a mashed potato bar and a macaroni and cheese bar. Stupendous! Every time I got up I found something new to try. The wedding space was elegant and large for all to enjoy. We ordered the filet and that was served with tasty asparagus, potatoes, a peeled carrot and a light gravy sauce. I was very happy with all the desserts I tried too. The staff was ultra pleasant and attentive. This was a first class affair. I loved my time at Lucien's Manor and if you have the chance to attend or host an event there I know you will too. This year, the same friend rented out the entire place including two sets by the house band for a milestone birthday celebration. I believe they have catering packages, but in this case, our friends supplied the food while the venue supplied the beverages and took care of cleaning up. The catering food was not pleasant and lacked flavor. For an event where students and families are paying a significant amount of money to attend, the food quality should be much better. Another major concern was that a wedding was taking place at the venue at the same time as my daughter's prom. Students were restricted from taking photos near certain statues and areas because of the wedding, even though wedding guests did not appear until the very end of the night and were primarily located in a separate room. It was frustrating to have photo opportunities limited throughout the evening for an event that was not actively using those spaces. If the venue cannot reasonably accommodate both events without impacting the prom experience, then they should not schedule a wedding and a prom at the same time. I've heard that other local schools have experienced similar issues at this venue. When students are paying hundreds of dollars to attend prom, they should have full access to the venue and photo opportunities without unnecessary restrictions. Lastly, the venue felt much smaller than expected for an event of this size. While Brigalias is visually appealing, the food quality, limited access due to another event, and lack of space made the overall experience less enjoyable than it should have been.

The ultimate insult: the employee that we showed the hair to notified the owner, and we watched the man chuckle, flip the hair of a female employee, then berate the man who took our complaint.

I'm not exactly sure of all the arrangements that were made, but I believe Suite105 staff were helping with fixing plates (food was provided by the family), pouring liquor (the family brought in liquor) and other tasks, and they were kindly behind the scenes to help the occasion go smoothly.
