    Bud's Salad (big and beefy)
    Lowell O.

This time I ordered Bud's salad. It allowed me to feel good about ordering a salad, while delighting me with what must have been eight ounces of beef tenderloin (perfectly cooked), a couple of slices of bacon and a healthy dose of blue cheese. The service was great. And the place is as ecclectic and dimly lit as ever. It's a happenin' place. They served more people during the lunch rush than the number of people who live in Round Top.

    Lemon Blueberry Pie - Slice

My mom and I stopped in to get some desserts to go. The place was cute. They had plenty of pies to choose from. We were excited to pick some and take them home to my stepdad and share them all. We got the lemon blueberry which was everyone's favorite. The apple pie, I feel like the apples needed to be cooked a tad longer and we got the bread pudding. We were so disappointed we didn't check the bag beforehand because the menu said it came with a bourbon sauce and there was no sauce included so the bread pudding was really dry. I think it could've been really good with the sauce. The service was ok, a small wait to order and like I said missing our sauce. I'm sure we would go back. My mom lives in Round Top and I know my step dad wanted to try their cinnamon roll next!

If you have been to Round Top, I'm sure everyone has heard about this place. Iconic restaurant. From the moment you wanked into, you feel like you time-traveled. Good vibe, good food, good service. We shared the big table with other guests and we talked, laughed and had a blast.

Nashville shrimp tacos- savory but not overly spicy!!

Vivian made our lunch at Royers Cafe in Round Top an absolutely wonderful experience! Her recommendation to try the Nashville shrimp tacos was perfect--they were flavorful with just the right amount of spice. For dessert, Vivian suggested her two favorite pies: the sweet & salty pie and the lemon blueberry pie. Both were incredible--we couldn't get enough! Despite being the only one serving, Vivian was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. She truly made our visit special!

Another great meal at Royers. Made it to lunch on Thursday for the pork tender, fried green tomatoes, and cherry pie, not too sweet, with bluebell and my husband had the apple. I have reviewed in the past. Fun food, Angus pasta, pork tender, even the seafood here is thoughtful twist and fun atmosphere. Whatever you do Slow Down in these places, there can be aLOT of people come through during events. This is not fast food and there is limited seating. Go to their FB page and they do offer some choices for seatings during busy times. Thank you guys for another great meal.

March 25, 2023 Todd waited on me at the pie bar, he helped me choose my pie. I decided on the sweet & salty - a chocolate caramel fudge cake that tasted like a brownie; so good. Todd went out of his way to accommodate me with a small bag of ice so the pie could last until late evening. The restaurant was full and only taking reservations for the day Support small business

In town to celebrate my mother's 68th bday and this small town gem was a hit with our family! Everything was delish! Extra grateful my extreme food allergy nephew could be accommodated! We do travel with his food but always nice when he can eat what we are eating:) We were all stuffed but HAD to try a slice of pie and the warmed lemon blueberry + scoop of blue bell vanilla on the side did not disappoint!

Been a couple of times. Food is just ok but really expensive. Most entrees at lunch were more than $22 each. Cramped inside.

Reservations made in advance, 1 hour later still not seated and walk ins seated with same number of people. Tiny, filthy restaurant!

I found this spot on Yelp and was super pleased with the service, the selection, the strong WiFi, the decor, and the overall vibes here that was super welcoming. Parking was easy off the street and there was plenty of other storefronts to wander & window shop as I made my way to Tillie's. This whole area is great so anywhere you park is going to be close. For my coffee I really enjoyed the iced Golden Ticket coffee I got that included a caramel and a hazelnut flavor with a nice house made cream added to the top. It was so tasty! For food it was hard to choose. Everything from "brekkie", or breakfast, to lunch looked so good as listed on their menu. I ended up with one of their "Handhelds" of the Besto Pesto that included sliced turkey, homemade pesto (nut-free too!), mayo, and some delicious house made pickles. This sando came with a side of house made chips as well and was the portion for my lunch. Since I was driving back to Austin (an hour+ away) I decided to get through all of what was on my plate and not take any leftovers home but I could've!!! I really loved their decor and the long large and beautiful wooden community table they had near the back of the cafe. I saw a whole group of women (more than 6 of them!) gathered around, chatting, and having tea. I assumed they were locals because like them, I would be hanging out here all day with my laptop and/or friends all day if I could. Highly recommend coming in and checking out what you can find to have while here. From coffees, breakfast, lunch, and even refreshing tasty sparkling drinks you will find something you want to have and probably keep coming back for in the future. When I am in the area again, this will definitely be part of my plans in stopping into and eating at again.
