Located in the promenade of Bonita Springs, Roy's has been serving its Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine with European Sauces, Bold Asian Spices, and French techniques since 1998. Our server Lisa came highly recommended and has been setting the standard in service here for over 10 years. She definitely made our meal memorable. Roy's special offers include Waina Wednesday for half off all bottles of wine under $100 and they will also be participating in Sizzle Dining this September 3rd-30th. Be sure to join the Ohana Club on their website to stay in the know and receive $25 off for your next visit. They have a private dining room that seats up to 60 guests. Extremely spacious modernized bar area serving Aloha Hour menu all night!

Had dinner at Roy's tonight. It never disappoints. I've eaten at Roy's all over the US - the food, service and ambience are always first class. Plus, for an upscale restaurant I believe their prices are quite reasonable. Tonight I had the seared blackened ahi tuna served with baby bok choy and furikake rice with a spicy mustard butter sauce. The meal was wonderfully flavored and beautifully presented. Well done again Roy's.

We dined at Roy's for Thanksgiving with two great friends of ours! Our first time dining at Roy's and found the experience to be good not great, considering the price point and what others have shared previously. Pros: - Great prix fixe options for the holiday, we opted to not go the traditional turkey route and maybe that was our mistake! - Chocolate Torte was very delish, well cooked, and balanced - Key Lime pie was light & tasty - Red potatoes & asparagus were perfectly cooked on the Mahi plate - Good portion sizes for all courses for the price and we left full - Adam was a very attentive, strong server - Filet was tender and cooked nicely (rare) Cons: - dirty water glasses upon sitting down and the kind waiter had to get 3 pitchers of water as when he poured the first few glasses, flies were in the water - mahi was over cooked and dry, lobster sauce lacked lobster flavor and the dish needed an acidic component - lobster potstickers were heavy and dense, needed acidic component - béarnaise (we think?) sauce was broken utop filet - no house bread or rolls (maybe a peasant ask but I love me some starter bread) Overall, we weren't overwhelmed with the meal! Likely will try one of the other options for the first time at the Promenade :)

Second time here with my boyfriend, out of season. Live here full time and came in the summer time. Jose, the bartender (who took care of us the first visit) was more than great, again. He was attentive and our drinks were delicious. Happy to have this place and staff right across the street. Also the manager, Andrew, stopped by to talk to us again (also at the first visit here) and was pleasurable to talk to. Will be back. Food was delicious and came out hot! Thank you Jose and Andrew!

The Happy Hour was excellent. The service was also excellent. We had the Hawaiian Martini, Spring Rolls , spicy tuna and ribs from the Happy Hour menu plus a white wine and Chocolate Martini from the bar menu. Everything was delicious. Will be back

A great surprise after seeing the low review score, host was friendly and offered several seating options, service was slow but we were not in a hurry, had a sampler canoe great choice of foods especially the short ribs,, fantastic ordered the Hawaiian martini, spectacular, the tiger shrimp over udon noodles was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked, for dessert we had the pineapple upside down cake flipping awesomeness. Very romantic setting.

Szechuan Spiced Pork Ribs! That's our 2nd order.

Service was great from start to finish. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. She brought us champagne on the house for our anniversary which was very nice. She also helped get us a table in the bar area for after-dinner drinks even though it was packed in there. She went above and beyond. The foot was amazing! Usually I'm very underwhelmed by bao buns but these were the best ones I've had. They packed in enough flavor that the buns didn't mute everything (what usually happens). We also had the brisket fried rice which was great. I wanted the meat flavor to come through and stand out a little more from the rice but overall very good. But the miso black cod stole the show. Wow this dish was incredible. The fish absolutely melted in your mouth. I don't even know how they got that amazing texture and flavor on it. Also, awesome cocktails. Their signature cocktail was perfect for after dinner.

The sushi is solid but fairly average compared to what you'll find in larger markets. That said, there are several standout dishes that keep me coming back. The Tuna You-Ki appetizer is excellent and easily one of the highlights of the menu. The Thai-style whole fried snapper is another winner, perfectly cooked with great flavor and worth ordering every time. The sashimi appetizer is also a fantastic value. The portion is generous enough that it can easily serve as an entire meal. Service is generally good. The servers are friendly and courteous, though they often seem stretched thin, especially during busy periods. You may need a little patience, but the staff is always pleasant. The restaurant itself is comfortable and welcoming, making it an easy choice for a casual lunch or dinner. It may not be a destination sushi restaurant, but it's a dependable neighborhood favorite with a few standout dishes that are well worth trying. Rating: 4/5 A reliable local spot with a few excellent menu items, especially the Tuna You-Ki, sashimi appetizer, and Thai fried snapper. Here's what we ordered: ~Shrimp and scallops sui mai with water chestnuts, sesame oil, hoison, garlic. They came with delicious dipping sauces-a ginger sauce and a sweet vinaigrette. The sui mai was full of flavor and was the perfect bouncy texture. ~Fried Korean wings tossed in original soy glaze. First of all, these wings were SO MEATY!! They were perfectly crispy on the outside with juicy chicken on the inside and the soy glaze was nice and salty. These wings are a MUST ORDER!! They also offer a spicy version! ~Galbi Short Rib Korean Bbq Bowl with steamed white rice, a poached egg, kimchi, seaweed salad, cuke-chi, and sesame seeds. The Galbi Short Rib was MY FAVORITE BITE OF THE NIGHT! It was so tender and fatty and had a salty and umami flavor. The rest of the bowl was excellent as well so this is definitely a must-order! ~NY Strip and Shrimp Hibachi served with fried rice, onions, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, and a house-made yum yum sauce. This was a bit different than classic hibachi style and Chef James informed us he uses more of a bulgogi sauce for it. ~Sesame chicken with white rice. Always a delicious classic and one of my go-to Chinese dishes. ~Ube tiramisu made with lady fingers soaked in coconut milk. It was such a beautiful and vibrant purple and such a unique dessert! Admittedly, service was a little slow... it felt like a one-woman show, but that's part of the charm of this small business (support local). I was considering sushi but the menu only listed specialty rolls. I was looking for something basic but I didn't see it being offered. I think it must be on a separate menu that was not provided to us, because regular sushi rolls are shown on the online menu. But being at a Thai restaurant, I decided to go with Thai. I ordered the green curry with chicken which also comes with a bowl of rice. You can customize the spice level. My green curry was as good as any - a little spicy and a little sweet. We also got the beef drunken noodles, and they were able to customize the noodle dish to be Thai extra spicy and remove unwanted ingredients for a picky eater. We also ordered the fried rice and added chicken and pineapple (which is a winning combination). The dishes had good presentation and the flavors were solid. We enjoyed our dishes. Portion sizes were fair but I wouldn't say generous. Prices were reasonable. Thai Spice Garden hit the spot - I recommend this place for Thai fare in Fort Myers.

The restaurant was empty aside from one other table. Entering the restaurant and taking a look behind the bar, we noticed a toaster oven and a microwave. We did not seem to notice an actual kitchen. We were seated immediately and we checked out the menu. Not your typical Japanese menu but, we are adventurous and we chose a couple of dishes to try. We both ordered a sprite. We were brought two glasses with ice and two, unopened cans of Sprite. Classy? For the cost of lunch for two here, I think not. Oddly, the restaurant does not give you free rein over your own soy sauce. Instead, they give you the little dish and they pour a little bit in it at the table then take it away. Interesting. We ordered the chicken yakitori appetizer. This comes as three skewers. Unfortunately, the cut of chicken they used was mostly fat globs and had a strange, chewy texture. $16. Not a fan. I ordered the sake salmon maki. It was made with brown rice and had little crunchy round bits on the top. It included a little ginger and about a dime-sized amount of wasabi. The sushi was good. Different, but tasty. But, $18 for a 6 piece roll. Lofty. My husband ordered the hon maguro tuna carpaccio. This dish is basically 8 thinly sliced pieces of tuna sashimi with a balsamic glaze drizzled over it. Good, but not worth almost $30. Again, way overpriced. The service was lacking and lazy, making us wait longer than necessary for our check and a little annoying by leaving us a business card clipped to our $100+ receipt. I don't know who is giving this restaurant high ratings but it is definitely not worth the cost or the quality of service. One and done.
