Scallops with spinach risotto, fillet with asparagus

I can't say enough about Tarpon! First and foremost Mark!!! Mark was amazing, read the room, got our personalities and made our dinner spectacular. He is a definite asset to your restaurant and hope you recognize him accordingly. Now to the food.... The olive tapenade was so deep in flavor. Bread was fresh. We had the lobster ravioli for our appetizer, so good! I ordered the scallops they were good, maybe a second or two over cooked but still stood out as a great meal with the risotto. My husband ordered the steak, he had no complaints. Mark then brought us each a dessert drink... Carmel espresso martini, couldn't have been made any better, fantastic! This was definitely a stand out experience. Well done. Beautiful separate eating experience over the pond.

    Frutti Di Mare

Great atmosphere and service with really good food. I had the Frutti Di Mare, which is seafood cavatelli pasta. Not really sure why it was named that. See attached pic. Made with what seemed like house made pasta and plenty of shrimp, calamari, scallops, and even a little fish of the day. First and foremost this dish was HOT temperature. I appreciate having a good hot fresh meal. Now it was also spicy to a comfortable level for me, similar to a jalapeño level. Over all very good but pricy and could have had a slightly lower ratio of pasta. I suppose that should be expected for a hotel restaurant. Really that was the only reason i didn't give the food 5 stars, however the other three friends would say theirs was 5 stars, but of course I picked up the tab lol. Also want to add we all had some of the speciality drinks that were delicious. The Grinning Tarpon was great.

Beautiful restaurant hidden inside the Hyatt! Every experience here always delivers from kind staff to high quality food. Food notes: Smoked old fashioned: love a drink that comes with a show! Smoke adds extra layer to this classic drink Snapper diablo: warning...this one is spicy! I LOVED the flavor the spice added. Fish cooked to perfection. Slaw on top adds a nice freshness and break from spice Triple chocolate cake: YUM! Super light layers that all add to this treat. Perfect bite to split

    Grilled halibut

The service was incredible. Upon informing that I had a gluten allergy, I was given gluten-free bread as a starter to enjoy with their delicious olive tapenade. For my meal, I chose the catch of the day: grilled halibut with jasmine rice and broccolini. You get to choose how you like your fish prepared, as well as your side starch and vegetable. Our entire table was impressed by freshness of the fish.

This was a great hotel restaurant! Nicely done. Pretty baby blue and ocean vibes! The staff was super attentive and very knowledgeable of this menu. The ceviche was very fresh and well dressed! Unique! That lobster mac n cheese is competing!

    Chilean Sea Bass

It was one of those restaurants that is pricy, but worth every penny. I can't say that often when I review My wife went here for our vacation and inside the place has dim lighting and it was quiet. The tables have a beautiful set up. The server was also great. She was very knowledgeable and everything she suggested was delicious. Now the food was fantastic. We got the Chilean Sea-bass with this citrus lemon butter sauce. I felt like I could drink it. The sea bass was seared and it was cooked perfectly. It did not have the "fishy" flavor and it was lighter than expected. With it being seared, it has a perfect crisp on the outside. It sat over rice and asparagus. The flavor was exceptional in the dish. We also had the calamari which was probably the best calamari I have ever had. It had arugula and a hint of citrus. It I was definitely a place worth checking out.

    Maine Lobster Tail

Food was out of this world. The staff were great. They even brought us a desert on the house for our anniversary.

    OpenTable reservation

You cannot trust a reservation made through OpenTable. Weeks in advance, I made a dinner reservation for a special family dinner in the Captains Room on December 30th. I committed to spend at least $708.40 for the seven of us. On December 29th, I received the normal notice from OpenTable asking me to confirm our reservation, which I did. OpenTable replied that the reservation was all set. We all got dressed up and arrived on time only to find out that the Captains Room had been given to another party. The manager, Jonathan, refused to honor our reservation and said it was out of his hands. He ruined my night and embarrassed me in front of my family. I will never return here to this restaurant which has no regard for basic customer service.

We had a Mojito and a pina colada to start. Ordered our dinners: grilled scallop basket, blackened grouper sandwich, and blackened mahi mahi sandwich. We must all have been feeling virtuous, because we all opted for mixed veggies instead of fries! I was super happy with my scallops. They were perfectly done, minimal spice which allowed the delicate flavor to shine. The veggies were surprisingly great - cooked just right, not squishy as sometimes happens. Sandwich eaters enjoyed theirs as well. Grouper eater says "very moist. Tasty. I recommend the blackened." We were unable to resist getting chocolate cake for dessert. So good! Our server was nice and attentive (maybe giving off slight Disney theme park host vibes). We were having an early dinner so there were plenty of tables. Decor was thatched roof and beachy, with a dock out back with the potential for providing entertainment watching folk maneuver the space (and low water, depending on the tide)! Plenty of parking but somewhat oddly only available via valet - maybe they can get more cars in the lot that way. Was fine for us, but cashless folk might want to bring some tip $.

With its waterfront location, lively atmosphere, and boats pulling right up to the dock, it delivers exactly the kind of Southwest Florida experience visitors are hoping to find. What keeps us coming back, however, is the food. Unlike many waterfront tourist spots that rely solely on the view, Coconut Jack's consistently serves excellent food and drinks. The shrimp basket is a favorite, the mahi tacos are packed with flavor, and both the grouper entrée and grouper sandwich are outstanding. Even the burgers are surprisingly good. One standout that deserves special mention is the New England clam chowder, which is absolutely top shelf and among the best you'll find in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and fun, with dining right on the water and plenty of people watching. Whether you're arriving by car or boat, the restaurant has a casual party vibe that feels quintessentially Florida. The staff is enthusiastic, friendly, and works hard to keep the good times rolling, even when the restaurant is packed. Rating: 5/5 Great food, strong drinks, beautiful waterfront views, and a lively atmosphere. Coconut Jack's is a Bonita Springs classic that delivers every time.
