If I could do 1/3 of one of those stars, that's what I would have chosen, but it doesn't give me the option. Me and my sexy ordered a shrimp and octopus cocktail. The shrimp was not deveined or cleaned right therefore my shrimp had lovely shit. The octopus was very hard. The Jews in the cocktail had no flavor at all, but somewhere in between those bites you got a whiff of the ocean, but it was not a very clean whiff! They served it with very little vegetables, but they did add avocado so that's where they got the 1/3 of a star. I kid you not when I say that we added six limes, half a bottle of ketchup about 15 Tapatio drops salt. We cleaned all the shrimp and it was still pretty gross. The karaoke was pretty entertaining so we stood and watched. The salsa was watered down and also had no flavor. If you could avoid going there, please do so. read more

After years of going here, I have been disappointed. Absolutely no flavor in ANYTHING. I got a campechana, it was not hot as asked for. Lots of flavor missing in it and not just in that but also in the empanadas de camarón, el molcajete Cora, and ceviche de camarón. We had to add salt to everything, spicy sauces, and yet nothing could fix it because what was missing was just flavor! I asked and they hadn't switched owners nor cooks, so what's going on?!? And the wait time...? For the more longer than usual wait time I would have expected it to have been for a good reason, but for that flavorless food we got, absolutely not worth it. I've never had anything like it, like I feel like the seafood options at Del taco are better the crab was greasy yet dry, the grease or sauce that it came with tasted like armpit, everything tasted like it was cooked but then frozen and reheated and just got left out, the only positive thing is the limes were actually juicy. If you're looking to go for a nice meal this place isn't it, it's over priced like I'm not even trying to exaggerate but I wouldn't pay more than $20. This is a great place to have a awesome meal. Most the items I have tried here are 5 star but I knocked it down one star for the refried beans. They get busy sometimes but never a long wait like the big name places on restaurant row. Definitely a hidden gem and they have other menu items besides mariscos. read more

Went here today with My family. Waitress not too friendly or attractive. Food was not great at all. Beans had flavor of can beans. Carne asada plate was salty and the shrimp cocktail was water more than anything as flavor goes. We ordered 2 margaritas and they tasted like aguas by far was it a good drink. At check out we never got the bill so we got up after waiting for a while. Once at the register the sane girl that never came back was trying to charge me $7 bucks for paying with my ATM card!!! When questioned about that fee she stated that she had no answer and that owner should be sue for stealing from customers!! I told her I was not paying $7 dollars on a transaction so she easily removed it and charged me the $169. BUT she tried to include her self a tip of 25% which gave me total of $199. !! I question that and she got bothered but removed her own tip since we had left cash at the table. The food is not the sane anymore and the service was unwelcome plus the charges and the fact that a lot of people are being charged all this fees is unbelievable. I will never come here again. First time coming here. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the Poca Madre plate which was very filling. The portion was huge and definitely worth the price. Perfectly marinated in lemon and spices, served with tostadas on the side, YUM! The service was also great, our server checked on us every 10 minutes or so. Would definitely come back to try something else. I think everything on the menu is fairly priced considering it's seafood made to order. My husband and I ordered a couple of tostadas along with a water and a Jamaica. My drink was too sweet so I asked Kenia for a cup of water with ice halfway. I was going to water it down my drink however the water she brought me was faucet water. I tried my husbands water and you could clearly see /taste the difference. Also when I was about to eat my tostada there was a WIRE in it. After I received my bill I asked Kenia for a manager and she said there wasn't any in. So i showed her the wire and she said "that came from the dishwasher" then I proceeded to ask her if she gave me faucet water and she said that it was from the soda dispenser I asked if my husband got it from there too and she said yes. Which was clearly a lie. The sad thing about this incident is that WE would go there for the food NOT the service (sorry it sucks) but a WIRE in the food is dangerous! read more
