I've been coming here for about a year and a half now, and lately it's turned into a once-a-week habit. If I'm craving seafood, this is my go-to spot. The seafood boil bag is always delicious. The Cajun sauce is packed with flavor, the fried calamari is crispy and even better dipped in the tartar sauce, and the noodles are seriously underrated, they're so good! The food has consistently kept me coming back, but I do think the customer service could be a little more welcoming at times. A little friendliness goes a long way, and it would also be nice if personal conversations between staff were kept away from the dining area since customers can hear everything. That said, I stopped by tonight about 30 minutes before closing (I felt guilty, sorry y'all ), and Emilio took care of us. I'd never seen him there before, but he was friendly, welcoming, and checked on us throughout our meal even though he was already busy with the closing routine. We weren't trying to be high maintenance--we were just hungry and excited to eat--but he still made us feel taken care of without overdoing it. Great service like that stands out, especially when it's close to closing time. Hopefully some of his coworkers can learn a thing or two from his approach because it really makes a difference in the overall experience. Extremely disappointed with this place. I had been a loyal customer for the past three years, but after this experience, they've officially lost my business. They recently changed their hours and now open after lunchtime, so I waited until 1:00 PM when they opened. I called ahead to place my order, and "Mark" told me they wouldn't even start preparing it until I arrived and paid. If that's the case, what is the point of placing an order over the phone? I arrived, paid, and then waited another 30 minutes for my food. When I finally got back to the office, I discovered that my order was WRONG. On top of that, the food was made extremely spicy and was completely inedible for me. I called to let them know about the issue, and once again spoke with "Mark," who simply told me, "That's how that order comes." No apology, no attempt to correct the mistake, and absolutely no concern for the fact that I had paid for food I couldn't even eat. After being a repeat customer for three years, this is incredibly disappointing. The customer service is seriously lacking, and this experience was enough to make sure I never return. I'll definitely be sharing my experience with others in the High Desert so they can make an informed decision before spending their money here. I was craving a seafood boil and decided to give this place a try as my favorite place is the boiling crab and pretty far. The service was great and the waiter was super attentive, but unfortunately, the food had absolutely no flavor. I ordered the all in one mild, and there was barely any sauce. The shrimp and crawfish tasted like they were literally boiled in water and thrown into the bag without any seasoning or sauce. I also ordered eggs, which were $3 each, and they were grey. I didn't eat them. Overall, I was really disappointed with the meal. I'm not usually a fan of seafood places, as they often miss the mark when it comes to seasoning--simple fried shrimp tend to lack flavor. But this place delivered on taste. However, I was disappointed by the lack of sauce options to go with my fried platter. The wings were borderline overcooked--definitely burnt. While they didn't taste bad, they didn't have the ideal appearance or texture you'd expect from well-fried food. Customer service was acceptable, but not great. We didn't see our actual waitress until the very end. I'm not sure how service is typically handled at restaurants anymore, but having multiple people come by to ask what we need isn't ideal. It creates confusion, and no one seems to be fully aware of how the table is doing. Ideally, one person should be checking in and managing the table throughout the visit. When I first start going to Pacific crab House, I would only get a seafood boil bag. I was very pleased with that. I got all the things that I love, shrimp, potato sausage, crab leg, and I would always get white rice on the side. Cod Po Boy was disappointing. It's just a large toasted french roll with breaded fish that only half fills the roll, and the fish did not even come out that good. Doesn't taste like something you'd be served in Louisiana. They really need to improve on this. read more

The service and food here are fantastic, even as a large party of 7. When checking in, the staff was very communicative and friendly. When I told one of the ladies upfront that we had a large party, she said that it would be about a 10 minute wait and she would get a table together that was large enough for us. While we waited, we enjoyed seeing some sports on TV and hearing some 90s and 2000s R&B music. As we were seated, I noticed that our table was very clean and lined with butcher paper. They also brought bibs, napkins, and a trash bucket for us all right away. They also give each table a trash bucket so you can throw your shellfish shells out-of-the-way. For appetizers, we ordered the garlic noodles. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. This was my first time trying this dish. It sounded too simple to be that good, but I was wrong. They were sweet and savory and had fried garlic as a topping. We also ordered the calamari and fries basket. This was another pleasant surprise. I've never seen fried calamari servings quite so big. Usually they are little tiny shreds of fried calamari at other restaurants. The fried calamari at this restaurant look like onion rings... they're that big. For my order, I requested 1.5 pounds of whole shrimp, meaning that the shrimp still had a head and tail. I also requested a quarter pound of sausage. The waitress also told me that every order of shellfish comes with potatoes and corn complementarily. My food did not disappoint- the potatoes and corn perfectly absorbed the whole shebang flavoring combo that I requested. I'm not sure what type of sausage came with my meal, but I believe that it was kielbasa- and it was delicious. Really my only critique was that I thought that they shrimp boil flavoring was not as prominent as the flavoring that I've tasted at the boiling crab. As we worked on our meal, not only our waitress, but other staff at the restaurant came over often to ask if we needed anything. When we noticed that something was missing from my partner's crawfish boil bag, the staff was really quick to bring us that item separately. Our final bill was quite a bit of money, but I'd say that they're large serving sizes and great service do make up for that cost. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again. read more

Came here last night because we wanted some Po Boy sandwiches. I ordered the Cod. The cod looked exactly how a frozen pattie one you can get at the grocery store. Not exactly how I expected it to be. We went to a family dinner around 6pm in the middle of eating we noticed there was a "bug" crawling around in the bag. We brought it up to the staff's attention and they came over and took the bug away on the fork. Staff brought us the check and rather than comping the meal they took of $3.17 off the check. I've worked in food service around 10 years. This should have been an easy fix for pacific crab house. Super disappointed in the service. I will not be returning.
