    The menudo. Really good
    Andrew M.

I was craving some menudo. Stopped in. It really hit the spot. The broth is served somewhere between mild and medium spice level. But those of us who like it spicy need not worry. There is a salsa or crushed red pepper you can add to bring up the heat. Served with onion, cilantro, and lime and I had me a good breakfast. And I love that you can order it without hominy.

    Albondigas Soup.

Great place for Mexican style soups. They are available daily including pozole and menudo. No need to wait until the weekend. My favorite is albondigas although their beef and chicken soups are very good, too. Menudo with pata is very rich tasting here with plenty of tripe and beef tendons. The soups with vegetables are flavorful as well as light tasting. It is the perfect thing to eat when one is feeling poorly and appetite is waning. Definitely order the soups with the homemade tortillas. That extra touch makes a difference. I have had their hard shell asada salad and their chile relleno plate and burrito. The salad was fresh with a flavorful carne asada. The flour tortilla shell is crispy and freshly fried. The chile relleno was battered nicely and the cheese filling tasted good. The menu is varied and the restaurant is open early for breakfast. Definitely something for everyone here. DoorDash is available as well.

Good serving portion, hot enough to enjoy every bite. Friendly service. Very first place I try Menudo here in the high desert. I recommend you try it out. They seem to have plenty of other choices to eat but for now it's Menudo next time I'll have to try their something else. Taste for yourself.

Delicious fish tacos a la plancha (no breading). Nice beans.

I ordered fish tacos a la plancha (with no breading) and they were good. Refried beans are nice, I'd like to try their bean and cheese burrito.

Best green chili chilaquiles burrito! Every time I come here there is great food and great service.

Best Mexican food besides El Montecito! We got menudo regular sin pata con más carne que maíz. Un burrito de carnitas and man oh man it was bomb ! I usually order DoorDash but the service inside is great. Parking and seating is tight with few selections but once you're in it's cool!

The food was really good I got one small chicken taco and one carne asada taco. $1.99 each ( good price) . I asked for extra onion and cilantro and clearly they didn't give me that .The Jamaica is the best I've ever had ! The customer service sucked . They stared at me odd as if I didn't belong . One lady appeared to not speak English and even her gestures were rude when I was trying to speak to her . I went later in the day 5:30 pm so I'm just going to hope they had the " Im ready to go home blues . " I will give them one more chance if they aren't rude I'll change my review ! Update ‼ I went back ! I didn't get what I asked for and when I asked for it two young ladies looked at me and the each other and smirked ! Very uncomfortable!

    Chorizo and eggs

We came here to try the chilaquiles and we were disappointed. I asked for red chilaquiles and they did not taste authentic, almost as if the red sauce came from a store bought sauce can. The beans and rice were also not very tasty. The only items that made the food better were the red and green salsas on the side. The chorizo and eggs were good The pancakes and harina tortillas were burnt All of the ladies working were courteous and ready to help us. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be returning.

For the food: - Rattlesnake bites (2/10): soooo salty. beyond my imagination. has jalapeños but not spicy at all for ppl w/low spice tolerance. - Filet Medallions (9/10): comes w/ 3 sides, 2 sauces, + 3 filets. I ordered the sirloin here last time and this was definitely way better. for the price + what it comes with, this is def a life hack. I got it w/ Mac and cheese and that definitely needs to be worked on. It looks like Kraft but somehow tastes worse. I didn't like it at either of the locations I went to. Soupy little sauce that one. - Sirloin and Shrimp Combo (8/10): My dad really liked the shrimp but I don't think it was anything crazy. Frozen probably & for the price jump with the combo, I probably wouldn't order it myself. Overall, would obviously come back. This is my second weekend in a row. The bread + peanuts get me everytime.

The food quality is usually good and they have always been quick to address any issues. But something has changed. Our party of 6 was there to celebrate a birthday. All of us ordered cocktails or beer along with our meals. My daughter in law ordered a drink she'd had before and after one sip said it was made totally wrong and was not good. We informed our waiter, who had to bring over a manager, who flat out lied and said there's a new law that says they cannot remake or refund drinks. I checked and there is no such law. She told me this policy comes from the new owners of the company and I'd have to call and discuss it with them. Unfortunately there is no way to call, their phone system puts you into a loop where you can't actually reach anyone. And, while I'm here, in case management cares, recently the cleanliness of the restaurant has been in decline. The floors are pretty gross with fries, and other bits of food that has been trampled through. The cloth napkins smell like rancid oil. The bathrooms are neglected and super nasty. And the staff seems either poorly trained or overworked because the overall service level has declined over our past several visits. I'm sad to write this as it really was one of our favorite places up here in the high desert. I hope they can turn things around.
