    Fried chicken: Sunday Special
    Leslie V.

Smoker in the parking lot is a sign of some good bbq. We had the Sunday specials...pulled pork and fried chicken with 3 sides. The collards were delicious and so were the candied yams. Limited seating and very clean restrooms.

My husband is a huge fan of this place, and it's easy to see why! We stop by at least every other week to grab some delicious food, and it never disappoints. The customer service is outstanding:friendly, welcoming, and always a pleasure. We're so glad they opened in Irmo! The ambiance is cozy and laid-back, making it a great spot for a quick lunch. We usually pick up dinner, and it always hits the spot. If you haven't tried them yet, you're seriously missing out. Do yourself (and your family) a favor and give them a try!

A very unassuming place just off the Ballantine exit. Very clean, pleasant atmosphere. We were not rushed to look at the menu, super friendly employees. Now to the food: O. M. G!!! The pulled pork is succulent and flavored to perfection! I love ribs, so I ordered the split plate. Potato salad and coleslaw. They offer 5 different sauces, My son got the hamburger that looked amazing and according to him it was. Mac and cheese: homemade was delicious as were the collard greens. We will be back soon

A small hole in the wall in IRMO SC that is a must try!! I'm from Nc so I like vinegar based bbq but they'd did NOT disappoint. We got a pulled pork bbq plate with 3 side (Mac and cheese, bussin, collards, a bit seeeter than I like but was fresh not canned so I enjoyed them regardless and coleslaw, it tasted a bit like a green apple, which was good in my opinion but some may not like that) We ordered through DoorDash so we didn't order directly through them, which caused issue due to them being out of the original side I wanted (candy yams) but assuming that they ran out already and had only been open for 5 hours let me know they would have been good too! My husband had the ribs and he moaned so loud when he bit into them, so I'll take that as they were also AMAZING!

Three of us visited this restaurant today and were so glad we did. We shared the Award winning Carolina Korean cheese.steak and it was amazing. We also tried the ribs and pork nachos which were also excellent. My mother in law says that the sweet potato fries were the best she has ever had. Chris the owner was very cordial and made us feel welcome for sure. We will return another time. Thanks Chris.

Seriously good bbq with excellent customer service. The pulled pork platter and award winning Carolina Korean cheesesteak were top notch. Don't forget the house made mustard sauce!

I was excited to go try the food!! The employees didn't seem inviting and excited to work there but the service was fast. The food was hot and good!! I also had the Korean Eggrolls!! They were great!!!

Thinking of giving this place a try? Don't think, just do! You will keep on coming back, pinky promise. Flavor bomb in your mouth. Customer service is the way every restaurant should be. My husband and I live in South East Columbia and happily drive across town to eat here. I just wish food didn't make one gain weight cause I would try the entire menu! Well played Roy...well played.

I decided to take the ride out to Irmo to finally try Roy's Grille. Parking was good, and the restaurant was clean and pretty spacious. Customer service was pretty standard for this day and age. The lemonade was really good. The sweet tea was really sweet. The grilled chicken nachos were delicious. I opted out of the BBQ. They were really good. I ordered a brisket plate with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. I was not a fan of the brisket. It was like it had been cooked like a pot roast. Also, I did not enjoy the macaroni and cheese. The collard greens were okay. I wish I would have tried the ribs instead of the brisket. If I do return, it will be for the nachos.

Service and Food Was Great. Ambiance was okay but the food and service overshadowed the rest that's why I'll give 5 stars

Some call it a dive bar, some are more generous; are there sticky tables, servers with tattoos, a busy bar were suds and cheaper whiskey prevail, and original paint? You bet! Let's get to the food. Lucky's menu features a variety of burgers, salads, wings, hotdogs and sides. Don't expect beer on tap, but an extensive selection of bottled beer should satisfy most folks. We ordered a Black and Blu burger with onion straws and a patty melt with fries. From the time we walked in until our food arrived probably took about 25 minutes. That was our own fault as we took way too long deciding what to order. When our food arrived, I immediately dug into the well constructed burger. I could barely open my mouth wide enough. And the taste? Very tasty. My wife enjoyed her patty melt--a burger on marbled rye with cheese and cooked onions that holds up surprisingly well! My onion straws were crunchy and sweet. Fries weren't great, but all in all an enjoyable burger experience. Oh, did I mention entertainment? Well on Tuesdays you can grab a free bingo card and try your luck winning a gift card! We started off with some fried green tomatoes.  Everyone does their little twist on them and this place did the same.  Personally, I am good with them as is and maybe some remoulade for dipping.  Here they had a pepper sauce that came with them and cheese melted atop the FGTs.  Not bad and nothing killed or overpowered the flavor from the FGTs.  However, I did wish that the pepper sauce had a bit more kick.  I cannot remember the name but the drink of the much was a peach based drink.  It was good and it was not just some peach flavored alcohol but it was made with peach puree.  They had me at peach when she ran through the specials.    For the main entrée it was the ribeye at a medium rare with fries and asparagus.   You get a choice of a bordelaise or garlic aioli to accompany your steak or whatever you want to dip in it.  Steak was cooked to the medium rare as I requested and that is a good start because we know there those places that consider what you ask for as just a suggestion.  Good flavor from the steak with no need for the sauce as I found out and I just enjoy asparagus.    Good experience.  Despite this being my first time here this place gave the vibe as a solid choice.  One of those places where when you are unsure of what you want but don't want to risk something new because you are hungry or with someone who cannot come to terms with their food desires.  This is a that old, trusted place you can rely on when you are hungry and good service.  A first experience that went very well.

Ofc I scroll through Yelp (as one does - literally hi friend!) and one of the top rated is The Bistro. I whip on over there and, albeit confused with the parking sitch (you can park in the back and go in through the side where the restrooms are, or you can go in through the front? Yo no sé.) I was greeted by this gorgeous host who promptly sat me and a drooooopp deeeeaaaddd waitress Annie T, don't get it twisted, came with the suggestions and shoutouts I couldn't be more excited to get. I decided on The Bistro Bee Sting (yall, I mean come on.. look at that photo. DELISH!) and a turkey melt with some cheese grits as a side. So friggin good. A bit expensive but honestly 10/10 will be back. And GET THE BEE STING! I'm still drooling. 8.4/10 only because of price, but service, ambiance, and flavor were all 10's.

Our group has 13 and fortunately we had 11 today, which probably was about the most they could've managed at that table. Waiter was great. Took our drink orders and burger orders. Had a variety of orders (Poncho, Classic, Tuesday's Special Ron Swanson's), with regular fries and sweet potato fries. Burgers were very good, everyone happy with the exception of one burger getting dropped on the floor, resulting in that person waiting for about 10 minutes to get a replacement. Meanwhile he chomped on some of his fries. Overall food was great. Only issue is with the loud music. Music is good music, just way to loud. Everytime we go here nobody can here each other talk across the table. (We always sit at the big corner table on the right as you walk in). Fries were okay....nothing special. Burgers are the thing. Wish they would offer some home fries along with the regular and sweet potato fries. Only complaint we have is the loud music. Just tone it down about 3db.
