Went for lunch and the menu is quite different from their dinner menu. We started with their dim sum appetizer for two. Next, we ordered a hot beef pastrami sandwich and not on the lunch menu (we had some insider info) haha we asked and ordered their dinner lamb chops.

Normally, we go just for a meal but this time it was my bday and we were in Oahu...So husband took me to Roy's. We sat outside to enjoy the views and get some vitamin D since we are not getting any younger. It was a Lent Friday so this was the pace to go for meat free options. Delilah our server was nice and attentive. We had the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail for dessert. I had the butterfish and my husband had the macadamia fish entree with Clase Azul tequila while I had 2 lilikoi mimosas.

We came here for my brother's birthday, almost make it a tradition every time we're in the area and it sucks to say that Roy's has fallen off. For lunch I ordered a prime rib sandwich which came out overdone. The bread was soggy and not toasted and the fries I had to switch out because they were regular as opposed to garlic fries. Our server seemed like he didn't want to be there, even though he came off with a nice demeanor it seemed like he was overworked and didn't really give me good vibes. Only saving grace was the matcha creme brûlée which is why I give this location 2/5 instead of 1 star. Which was once a tradition is now more of something we have to move on from. Hopefully Roy's can turn it around in both service and food.

Roy's Ko Olina is one of our go to spots for date night whenever we're visiting family, and it never disappoints. The service is consistently good, and we always love when we're able to sit out on the lanai. The restaurant itself isn't anything over the top visually. It definitely matches the golf clubhouse vibe of the area. That said, the food is always the star here. My partner never strays from the Plantation Paella, and for good reason. It's packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying. I always go for the honey mustard short rib, which is rich, tender, and full of bold, delicious flavor. The drinks are solid as well, whether you're in the mood for a sweetened iced tea or something to take the edge off. We always finish with the macadamia nut tart for dessert. It takes a little time, but it's absolutely worth the wait every single time. Overall, Roy's Ko Olina is a reliable favorite for a relaxed but memorable date night.

We came here to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. It was my first time, and the ambiance was nice - we had a late dinner since some family members couldn't make it to a sunset time slot - friendly staff, yummy food, good drinks, great waiter. The food came out fast and fresh. The desserts were without doubt my favorite. I'd go back just for the desserts!

We made a reservation for a Thursday night at 7:30 pm. It wasn't too busy, and we were seated outside. The atmosphere was nice - soft lighting, not noisy, and you could see the golf course a little. We ordered: Golden Hour Prix Fixe - Hands down the best deal on the menu. For about $100, you get a full 3-course meal that's very filling. The hamachi and rib appetizers were rich, and the pickled veggies balanced everything out perfectly. The filet was cooked to order with gorgeous grill marks and paired with flavorful roasted veggies. The real standout was the potato and cauliflower galette--so unique and delicious! Dessert was the chocolate soufflé made to order. It did take about 25 minutes after the entrée, but honestly, the time flew by. Baked Brie en Croute for Two - So good! It comes wrapped in puff pastry with honey, poached apples, and mac nuts for crunch. A generous portion, definitely shareable between 2-4 people. Beni's Philly Roll - Not what you'd traditionally expect, but delicious. The bonito flakes added a fun texture, and the rice had a seasoned, slightly brown color that really stood out. Service was excellent throughout the night. After appetizers, we were given moist towelettes to clean up, our waters were consistently filled, and they even offered tea and coffee with dessert. Food came out perfectly paced. They also thoughtfully packed our leftovers in a to-go box and bag. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, the staff went above and beyond. They surprised us with banana pudding tarts decorated with "Happy Anniversary," which really made the night special. This also ended up being a surprise proposal and the staff were able to film it for us. And we are so grateful! The food was delicious, but the true standout was the service--warm, attentive, and thoughtful. They made our anniversary dinner one to remember.

Food, service and ambience. We were celebrating our in-laws anniversary snd we had ours a week b4 them. They not only gave them a complimentary dessert, but us as well. So sweet of them.

I had a wonderful experience at Roy's tonight! The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Our tried a bunch of different menu items. I really liked the ribs. The filet mignon was very tender and tasted great! The chocolate soufflé was literally my favorite soufflé ever! Must try! Nice location, relaxing ambiance, ample parking, shopping nearby.

Roy's is just a short walk from Aulani Disney Resort. It's located next to the Ko Olina Golf course. We celebrated my Birthday and my wife had made a reservation for my whole family. Roy's made it special by assigning us to a private room. Our server, Kerisa, was very nice and sweet. She gave us the house special menu as well as their special drinks. The staff treated us very special and attended to our needs. I ordered the 16-oz Prime Ribeye. It's huge in portions and the meat came in tender and juicy. They made it the way I liked it. My family enjoyed their dinner as well as my grandson's kids' meal. At the end of our dinner, Roy's gave me a birthday treat by handing me a plate of brownies and ice cream. Roy's made this special day with a nice dinner.

My family and I are visiting from California and celebrating my husband's 65th birthday. We made reservations for dinner before we left California. Our experience the moment we walked in until we got seated was great! We had a private dining area which we didn't expect! All the food we ordered were excellent! We have 2 grandsons and they had a special plate (sorry forgot to take photos) and the boys loved it! Our waitress, Kerissa, was superb! She was on hands with everything! The other staff were wonderful as well! If you are looking for a place to have dinner and have a wonderful experience don't hesitate to come to this place, it is a bit pricey but worth it!

It's been a few years since I've been here and I'm happy to know that things haven't changed much, other than some of the food offerings. The service is always top notch, a sign to me that the GM Ty, and staff are doing a good job. My buddy and I came in to enjoy a great HH, and were fortunate to best to dinner rush. Our bar server, Bryson, did an excellent job in seeing to our needs and making sure we had everything we wanted. They offer a nice variety of both draft and bottled beers, along with a good wine selection. The food offered during HH was very extensive, with a nice mix of meat, seafood, and other fresh items. We started with the Sashimi Trio, followed by the Canoe for Two and added more Mongolian Ribs. The sashimi cuts could've been a bit more "generous", but the fish was fresh and tasty. The Canoe really had a good selection of all their appetizers, and our favorite were the Mongolian ribs; nicely smoky and fall off the bone tender. We also had their edamame appetizers; both with sweet chili sauce and the regular seasoned ones. I would definitely opt for the regular, based on flavor. Great food and great service. What more can you expect.

What is their wine corkage fee?

Appears to be $25 per bottle with a two bottle limit.

Can I wear a plain black t-shirt with nice jeans, black shoes and all black hat?

I'm not sure what the actual policy is for attire but when my family and I went to dinner one of our guests wore a plain gray tshirt with jeans and sneakers so I'm pretty sure you'll be ok.

How formal should I dress for dinner time, is a form fitting black dress with heels too much?

I’ve seen super dressy and nice casual every time I go. I love to dress up, don’t get a lot of chances and Roy’s is my excuse. Your outfit sounds lovely-either way you will feel comfortable.

    Do we need reservations?

It would be a good idea, particularly if you want a window table, which I recommend.

    Is there live music?

Yes, there was live music on the outside patio area....great guitarist!

    How casual is casual here?

It's next to a golf club and the inside decor is slightly worn. Men- I would "dress up" with a aloha shirt at the most. Ladies- sundress at the most. Hope this helps

To put it into perspective, there was a flash flood warning during a storm this week and I still drove 40 minutes just to pick up takeout from them. That's how worth it this place is to me. The portions here are insanely generous, especially for the price point. You get so much food, and the quality never feels compromised. The fish is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, which is why I keep coming back year after year. Their service is also incredibly efficient. You can tell this team really knows how to run a tight operation. They stayed open and adapted throughout COVID, and that ability to pivot and keep things running smoothly still shows in how quickly and reliably they handle orders today. If you wanna sit inside, I urge you to come towards open or with the expectation to wait a bit. You sign up on the clipboard outside and wait patiently. The good news is that they turntables extremely quickly. Places like this are rare--great food, great value, and a team that clearly cares about what they're doing. I'll always make the drive for Sushi Bay, and I genuinely hope they stay open forever.

After paying, I asked for a side of eel sauce and was informed there was a 50-cent charge. Had I known beforehand, I would have simply added it to my order. The issue wasn't the cost--it was how the situation was handled. I explained that I had already paid and didn't have any cash or change on me. I then spoke with two different employees, and both seemed unwilling to help over what amounted to a 50-cent sauce. Eventually, I spoke with the manager, who repeatedly told me, "Next time, next time, make sure," and implied I wouldn't get the sauce otherwise. What disappointed me was the lack of flexibility and customer service. After spending nearly $60 on takeout and leaving a tip, I felt that the staff and management were more focused on collecting 50 cents than taking care of a customer. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I understand policies exist, but I also understand that sometimes good customer service means using common sense and showing a little goodwill. This wasn't about the money. It was about how a loyal customer was treated over something so minor. Unfortunately, the interaction left me feeling unappreciated, and it has made me reconsider returning.

The booking was very straightforward, they don't charge a space rental fee as long as your party spends at least $1000 on food and drinks altogether. It doesn't have to be on one check, as long as it all adds up. We were able to decorate the area a bit for the party. Of course if you plan on partying here be wary of making too much of a mess or damaging things. Kiki then helped me preorder all the food for the party, and she also assisted with the surprise. Ashley was our server for the night and she did amazing! I was bothering her and Kiki and asking them questions all night and they were so nice and patient the entire time. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, it was as if they were family friends :) the speed of service was great too. I know we put the bartenders to WERK but the drinks still came out in such a timely manner. Finally, the food and drinks were BOMB. I've only been here a couple times before this, so I got to try a lot of items i haven't before at the party. Everyone was raving about the food! Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

When we checked in, they were very hospitable and took a complimentary photo near the front kiosk. We waited momentarily and were seated in a both. There were overhead fans above us and we noticed there were gnats peppering our table. The gnats continued to engulf the table making it look like a Dalmatian and this triggered my daughter with high stress and anxiety. We hadn't ordered drinks or food yet. I went back to the hostess and said that we would like to be relocated to a table toward the outer side of the restaurant and away from the fans that were blowing gnats on the table. They apologized for the recent bug infestation and I got a text from my wife saying that the server was in the process of moving us to another table. I had a hard time believing that the staff noticed this issue and didn't rectify it without me having to say that it was problematic. Then after we moved, it was another 15 minutes before a server asked for our drink order. It was simple, three iced teas and an apple juice. My daughter got her juice but the iced tea didn't come for another 15 minutes. We were 50 minutes into being seated and we hadn't ordered food so I had to go back to the hostess and ask for the manager. The menu here is prix fixe at $140 for a four course meal and this is not including a kids meal for my daughter and drinks. I told the manger that I thought the service here was unacceptable and that we hadn't ordered our food or got our drinks almost an hour into service. He was apologetic and immediately met with the servers in the kitchen. We finally got our iced teas and the server said they were "special" and it was pineapple juice added to them, like a tropical Arnold Palmer. Here's a suggestion, please don't add stuff to our drinks. I know he was trying to be polite, but it was not very good. So our orders were taken almost an hour after being seated. At least there were no bugs where we were seated. My daughter was itchy and wouldn't stop scratching after the bug attack from our initial seating. I left and went to the Aulani amenities store inside the lobby of the hotel and returned with Benadryl. At this point my daughter just wanted to go back to the room and was exhausted. I too was a little disappointed at the overall night. I was celebrating my birthday and retirement, and this was not the special dinner I was expecting. When I got back to the hotel room, my wife texted that they were getting the meal "to go" and heading on their way back. Our server had mentioned that they were going to provide 2 of our meals gratis and I wanted to make sure my wife knew this. She said they didn't charge for the meal at all. I think the restaurant was worried about my daughter having a medical issue and asked if we needed help. I feel like the restaurant had observed our continual dismay and noted things they observed but took no active action to resolve along the way. For a high end restaurant, customer service is as important if not more important than the food. By the way, my wife brought back our food to the hotel room and it was less than stellar. The portions were scant, the scallops undercooked, and the catch of the day which was Hawaiian Ono caught locally was overcooked and dry. So service aside, the food was not particularly spectacular. I hope Yelpers pay attention to my review and really think twice about eating here. Just because it's inside the Aulani Resort, it doesn't mean that it's good. Dinner tonight was an epic failure. Even if they didn't charge us, it was an unpleasant experience not worth repeating. I have not included any photos in my review due to my utter dismay.

I chose their corn chowder as my appetizer and honestly after the cheesy bread rolls and soup, I was pretty stuffed by the time my entree came. It was still a lot of food, and I only took like 3 bites before o threw in the towel. As for the dessert, I chose the dulce de leche cheesecake, which deviates from the usual Mickey brownie with ice cream that I ordered. I still prefer the brownie now that I've tried both. Ambiance is nice and I actually prefer the outdoor seating because I find the architecture and landscape of the resort so beautiful. Overall a solid Disney dining experience, with large portions all around. Definitely worth trying at least once especially if you're staying at the resort!

Often not something you may consider, but they have all of the freshest ingredients, from a top quality grocery store! Great service, Chuck Chuck was amazing. Others stopped by the table as well, to ensure waters were filled and to just show aloha. Check out the delicious photos!

Got here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Didn't make a reservation beforehand, but…read moreluckily they were able to accommodate a party of 3 with little to no wait time. Booth seating available along with 4-top tables throughout the establishment that can be combined for bigger parties. Our server was very kind, and cordial. We opted for the lechon style brussels and spicy garlic noodles (this was a snack before our dinner at another establishment). The brussels were an interesting flavor. I would've liked more flavor coming through the overall seasoning of this dish. I was expecting salty, sweet and vinegary, but it missed the mark for me. As for the spicy garlic noodles, this was flavorful, and very rich/buttery. My friend and I split the egg, while the third person in our party opted against it because she didn't care for runny eggs. Perhaps it's a good thing the third person didn't partake in the egg, because as my friend and I were driving to our next destination, we had to make a pit stop to use the restroom, as it seems that something didn't quite sit well with either of our tummies. The 3rd person who didn't eat the egg was completely fine, so not sure if it was the egg or the richness of the dishes. Overall, I would eat here again, though I would try something else on the menu.
