I called a month before my son's 21 birthday to make reservations. The Kane on the phone was so pleasant and informed me that for 4 people, they don't take reservations but did say he was going to ask his manager since I called was ahead of the date. It was nice and private especially since the food can get messy. It's also good for my son who tends to get loud. We got the dungeonness crab combo with their signature sauce. The place is usually packed, but we went a little later, around 7 something in the evening. So we were able to be seated right away. Our waiter was kind but did not check on our drinks as often as other places would, especially since we ordered alcoholic beverages. It is usually loud but it was fairly quiet, probably because there wasn't much people and the music was not pumping so loud. I was happy because when we opend our crab it had lots of yummy goodness in the head/shell/back (everyone has preference on what they call it) most times it's dry and overcooked. We had to actually ask for extra sauce. The snow crab legs were "crackable" it was kind of soft. We got the calamari basket all well, and the fries were pretty good but wish they actually put more calamari. Price: it's pretty pricy for what they give. Customer service was mediocre but the food was incredibly terrible. I remember going to the old location where they were near the food court and it was way better. Quality of food was ehhh for the price. The shrimp po boy sandwich was HORRIBLE. The bread was hard and there was no flavor to it (good thing i got a $7 side sauce for my seafood- I was able to drench it and get some kind of flavor out of it). The seafood sauce hardly had any garlic.... I'm so tired of Kickin Kajun in general whether I go to this location and/or Honolulu's, SCIMP OUT. Ordered a king crab dinner for New Year's Eve tonight and picked up for take out. I paid $130 for the KING CRAB COMBO and I was so disappointed they gave us one piece of sausage in the entire order and like 6 clams also the sauce was so watery and had no taste and to top it off when I dumped it out into a bowl a metal piece of a kitchen tool fell out of the bag! But who would've thought that this place would have a beautiful bar and a GREAT selection of Spirits, especially WHISKEY!?! I've stopped by here many times just for their whiskey and some appetizers (fried calamari, Tater tots and fries hit the spot) and have never been disappointed.
